This is the second time I have used Youngblood Custom Painting for my house in Sunriver Oregon and it's even better the second time around. The first time I had them do the exterior of my house (it's log siding so they use a special oil). Not only was the price right ...the quality of the work was beyond my expectations. The owner of the company (Lewis) came back month's later just to make sure everything still looked good. Now that's great service! This year I had them complete the house exterior and interior, as well as my detached garage. Same great experience, value, and results. Lewis is a perfectionist when it comes to his work. He expects great work from his team, treats them well, and it really shows. This is a great company with sound values and I highly recommend them to anyone. (He also does great contracting work for things you need done around the house)

It seemed like it was impossible, but the next morning we woke up to dark rainy skies and a call from Lewis! They had the paint and were on their way! We were beyond thrilled! (So great to get it done before we moved anything in!) They were so efficient, courteous, and friendly! The house had been painted a variety of wild DARK colors, so some of the walls had to be primed but they took it in stride and got it done in just a couple of days. Lewis the owner, was amazing. He came back and made sure we were happy, he touched up details himself, and even brought in a crew to be sure everything was cleaned up before we moved the furniture in. He knew local people who he could refer us to for any special work we needed done, and honestly, his cost was very reasonable. We have given his name and cards out to many people -- he is a pleasure to work with, and a good guy that you might just be fishing next to here in Central Oregon!

My wife and I build a custom, completed in July 2011. Greg build our house, and WE LOVE IT!…read more Greg spent many hours with us looking for the right lot, for what we wanted to build. We purchased the lot, Greg recommend an architect - we did the plans, and Greg built. During the entire process, we dealt with Greg, his office assistant, or foreman (Aaron then Brad). We were IMPRESSED by Greg's staff, as well as all of his subcontractors. We live out of state, and building a home 500 miles away can be stressful. Greg's knowledge and professionalism really helped to reduce stress. ALL of his subs were very responsive, and the job was done onetime, and a bit over budget (but the budget overage was totally our doing, not Greg's). Greg made the process very simple by meeting the subs to pick out materials, etc. The finished product won several awards in the 2011 Central Oregon builders tour of homes - including - best in show - for the price range. A great testament to Greg's attention to detail and professional product. We would (and have already) recommend Greg as a builder to anyone looking for a great product, someone very easy to work with and someone with a great staff/sub-contractors.

We could not be happier with the remodel King James Construction did on our house. They remodeled…read morethe bathroom, kitchen, back porch area, and refinished the wood floors in the house. As part of the remodel on the kitchen and back porch they widened a door and took part of the wall down between the former kitchen and dining room. The space is fantastic and completely transformed from what it was. They created more space in the bathroom as well by removing a wall and doing a complete remodel on the space, including a beautiful tiled shower. It looks great and the price was such a great value as Jim really works with your budget. Some of the demo we did and then the construction crew took over from there. The entire space looks and feels completely different. A couple years ago they remodeled our garage and turned it from a leaning 1950's tear down garage into a fantastic area for us to work in. They made the ceiling higher and installed an oversized garage door for us to get larger equipment in and out. The space is fantastic and that's why we asked them to come back and do the remodel on the house. I couldn't be happier with the end result. I highly recommend them for any remodel or a new build.

I am writing to highly recommend King James Construction for your general contracting needs…read more Recently, we completed an addition to our home, this being our first major renovation, I was unsure of where to even begin! I contacted King James Construction to come out and bid the job, thinking I would get a few bids and go from there! Upon meeting the owner Jim, I felt extremely comfortable and at-ease with his gentle, soft spoke nature, and decided to move forward instantly. His knowledge of the industry, building codes and county requirements was apparent immediately, and he was very thorough and quick to respond to any questions that we had! We wanted the project completed to specific point and then wanted to finish up ourselves. Jim was more than willing to accommodate our needs! His employees are great, extremely friendly, considerate and willing to let you learn as they go! They are more than happy to take the time to explain what they are doing, what is happening next and field any questions! Our project was completed on time, and within budget. With our decision to complete the finishing details ourselves, we have continued to receive support and advice from King James Construction. Even though they have completed their portion of the job, they have been more than willing to offer advice and suggestions for us as we have worked towards completion! When you hire a contractor, you are not only are agreeing to a job to be performed, but you are inviting people into your home, and into your life for an extended period of time. I am pleased to say that ANY member of King James Construction is welcome back into our home anytime!! I highly recommend them! Warmest Regards! Randi Ruddell

My husband and I really enjoyed working with James, owner of Smitty Construction. James helped us complete three renovation projects: our kitchen, a full bath and a powder room. He transparently communicated pricing and change orders, extended his professional discounts, and was just plain nice to have around the house for almost two months. All of his subcontractors were a pleasure to have around and spoke very highly of James. One even mentioned how he's one of the few contractors in Bend they will work with because of his honesty and follow-through. What a great company Stone Fire Construction was to work with!…read more From the moment, I contacted them to do some work for us, until they just finished, Stone Fire Construction owned by Scott Bender was awesome. The communication (YES! They do communicate quickly and often) was so much better than almost any contractor we have encountered. Their cost estimate was very reasonable, they are fully licensed, insured and bonded. They met all of the contract timelines, and wow did they work hard! Scott and his team were dedicated to getting our job done on time even though they encountered issues that could not be foreseen. Everyone on the job were personable and professional. He showed up an hour late in a broke down car with a "friend" and no tools even though he assessed what he would need the week before. They looked dirty and like they had a rough night partying the night before. Then left to go to Ace despite the fact the dresser came with tools and I also have my own. They left and then 2 hours later I messaged him I have plans and needed to leave. He showed back up and wanted to take the dresser to his "shop" and return in a few hours. Over a 3 day period he made up excuses on why it was taking so long, including telling me his uncle went to the hospital and died! He told me the dresser was built that day, then the next said there was missing instructions and took another day, then he said parts were missing and he had to "fabricate parts". Over these 3 days me and my kids dad tried telling him to just bring the dresser back and how uncomfortable I was. He would not bring it back until he was done. Once returned and he was paid, I moved the dresser and it fell apart. He did a ton of damage and then tried to glue it together hoping it would stay. I requested a refund and he refused to make it right and started insulting me and telling me it's my fault because I moved it. It was brand new in a box, I should be able to move it, with out it falling apart. Now I'm left to try and report him while being out $500 as a single mom. This was sooo wrong! Do not trust him!
