Adamson bro's Jiu-Jitsu Academy is a fantastic academy that provides top-notch instruction! I visited Seaside all the way from San Jose, California, and am glad to have found this academy. Both Professors Zach and Nate provide quality instruction and are very attentive. They pay attention to the technique that the students are drilling and offer quality feedback. Their Jiu-Jitsu is on point and very technical. The gym is a good size with plenty of mat space for the many training partners/students at this gym. There are students at all different skill levels, background, and gender. Along with that, the gym itself is clean, and so are the training partners. If you are looking for a Brazilian jiu-jitsu academy look no further, this is an outstanding gym that welcomes you like family. Thank you everyone at Seaside Jiu-Jitsu Academy for making my stay at Seaside memorable!

Nate and Zach are great instructors who have worked very hard to create a clean, friendly environment for training.

From my experience he is not the person he presents himself to be, he has his good side but from…read morewhat I've seen and since heard here and there over the years,he has a dark side. His ongoing students love him and respect him as I did. IF he "thinks" you crossed him or showed him any disrespect without discussion, retribution will be quick as it was with me I was accused of a move in a sparring match that I was intentionally trying very hard to do exactly as he told the class. He accused me of doing something wrong but he was wrong, he wouldn't listen to me after accusing me, he just paired me with very experienced guy ( I'll leave his description at that, because he was indoctrinated and was just doing what he told to do) who by his body language and facial expressions was on a mission for his sifu . Mark will never physically hurt you rather he will have someone else to do it for him. I saw him say something to this particular young man, who was far bigger and stronger, experienced and meaner than me, came straight over to spar with me the next round. He hit me i so hard, I heard my neck crunching while it snapped, I was permanently injured. At the time I didn't realize how serious it was, that was years ago. At the time I was in shock that Mark Moy would do that to me, I couldn't believe it. I'm still living with the injury, which is progressively worse because the ligaments were so damaged. Sleepless nights for over a decade, I'm scheduled to have my neck fused. I never said anything at the time because mark is not the kind of man you want to mess with. He is potentially very dangerous. He has many connections in near and far places, and frankly I was afraid of him. I was afraid to ever ever say anything because if he had no problem doing that, what else would he do? I don't have anything to lose from writing this and nothing to gain and while I should have told someone at the time, I was afraid no one would believe me and what would he do if I spoke out. He knew where I lived, who my friends and family were. Now i don't care, hopefully, if I can save someone else from going through this **** I am dealing with, it's worth it. It's also way past time I put this out there. One way or another he should be held accountable for his actions. Go some where else, there are several really good local schools out there that really do care about their students...ALL of them.

I'm happy with the improvements I've seen in his behavior after class, even if most of the lesson's impact fades away within a day or two. Thankfully, another class is right there on the horizon! Tuition is reasonable, and there are plenty of available time slots for the various programs. Attendance in any time slot is *not* mandatory, at least for the Tiny Tigers program: you're free to bring your student to any available class for their program, throughout the week, depending on your schedule and flexibility. That's a nice touch that's not always offered at other dojangs and dojos. The staff at World Class Martial Arts somehow manage to corral more than two dozen kids at the same time, hold their attention for a half hour, and even impart some lessons (both physical and mental), with a reasonable amount of success. Sure, sometimes a child (often mine! haha!) will require some individual attention to get them to follow instructions and get them back on track, but the "sabom" (instructors) here are quick to notice distracted kids and move to intercept them, often dividing the troublemakers into groups separate from the more attentive students, and giving them personalized instruction. It's a good system, and it works! Gam sa ham nida!

Teaching respect, patience and other life skills all through Taekwondo. We looked into other martial arts types in the area (jiu jitsu, mixed) but our son was not interested in them. World Class Martial Arts Taekwondo was the winner for us. Their space is pretty fixed in size, but I wish the changing area was organized better. There is always lots of congestion in this area making it hard to get into and out of uniform. Due to rain and cold we prefer to change there than to wear the uniform in the weather and in the car.
