Amazing job roofing my gazebo, barn, workshop, and home. Paul Michael Davis went above and beyond…read morethe call when he was initially asked to repair a hole in the workshop and uncovered that the entire property had windstorm damage I didn't even realize. His vigilance and expertise saved me from missing costly issues. What really stood out: Proactive problem-solver: Paul didn't just fix the hole; he identified widespread damage across the property. Insurance liaison extraordinaire: He worked with my insurance company to ensure every item was properly evaluated. When the first adjuster missed multiple items (twice), Paul caught the errors and had them corrected both times, leading to full coverage. Thorough and knowledgeable: His understanding of roofing, damage assessment, and the claims process is exceptional. Result-driven: Thanks to Paul, my insurance company covered everything. He delivers complete results with technical skill and advocacy. Outstanding presence: Paul has a Hollywood-worthy presence and a level of professionalism that inspires confidence. Personal note: Paul's dedication to accuracy and fairness in the insurance process is unmatched. He sees the big picture while handling the nitty-gritty details with ease. And yes--he does have that movie-star look that adds an extra layer of confidence when making big decisions on home projects. He looks like Matthew McConaughey, which somehow makes the process feel even smoother. If you want peace of mind, a properly assessed and paid-for roof, and a champion who will stand up for you with insurers, Paul Michael Davis with AKC PROS is the person you want in your corner. Absolutely the best.

Shamrock Roofing's Nick Easley made it easy! Truly elated! We could not be happier with the service…read morewe received and the workmanship. Nick Easley was our Project Manager and we really couldn't compliment him enough for going above and beyond to provide us with world-class service. We really struggled with our insurance company throughout this process. We struggled with the insurance company calling back after we filed the hail damage claim. Then the insurance company only wanted to cover half of the roof replacement. At first the insurance adjuster told us only the back was going to be covered and then later said only the front would be covered. Nick was so patient, knowledgeable, and supportive. He came out multiple times during the project, aligned his schedule with the insurance company's contracted inspector (whom Nick was familiar with) and even joined me on a call with the adjuster. The way I see it, Nick saved us easily $5,000 out of pocket due to his experience and diligence. Once we got alignment with Insurance, Nick Easley even arranged his schedule so one of his visits would overlap with the visit from our gutter cover rep so they could coordinate work. The roof replacement was scheduled quickly to accommodate our tight depreciation deadline. Nick provided great communication through out the project- we knew what to expect with materials being dropped off, what we would do if the blizzard that week impacted the schedule, and he gave me a backup contact with Shamrock because he thought he would be inaccessibile for a period of time. The entire project happened when expected and the actual roof replacement only took one day. The crew that came out was very polite , efficient, and the finished roof looks amazing. The crew did a very nice job of cleaning up after the work and they paid extra attention to looking for rogue nails in our driveway. During and following the roof replacement, Nick came out to oversee the project and also looked for rogue nails in the driveway (I told him it was a concern for us). During Nick's final inspection we noticed a small piece of wood trim that was knocked off during the roof replacement. Nick had the crew supervisor return the very next day to replace it and paint it. We honestly have nothing but positives to say about Shamrock Roofing and their Project Manager, Nick Easley. I would be happy to recommend them to anybody that needs work done.

Their salesman got up there and much to my surprise, he came back down and said it looks good, but he spotted some light wood rot that I was able to fix myself. I was thankful for his honesty and we discussed the age of my roof, who put it on, and he used that info to help sell 50 year roofs to the rest of the neighborhood. As a person who roofed in my teens and into college, I was impressed with his professionalism, and being a sales manager,I liked his creativity. While watching his crew work, the tear off guys were lightning quick and the old roofs were hauled off the same day. The roofing crews that came in the next day worked their tails off despite the 100 degree heat. My next roof will definitely be put on by these guys, I'll accept no substitutes.

THEY WERE EVERYTHING I WAS TRYING TO AVOID…read more.... At first glance, this company seemed awesome - great reviews, great sales guy, great pricing, great at scheduling and great communication. BUT my problems began when my insurance agency deemed my roof "UNACCEPTABLE." Here are some names to remember and steer clear of: Brock Steinmetz (Owner), TJ Chatham (guy who actually did the roof), and Bailey Scott (office manager). At first, TJ was very helpful about "getting this fixed" because he'd never been in this situation before. And then, when I tried to ACTUALLY get this fixed and they ALL WENT SILENT, including the owner, he would never call or email me back, nor the insurance agent back. We BOTH tried to contact them and received crickets. I've tried to contact them 16 times since January 10th, and they've responded with 2 phone calls to me; one from Brock himself (a voicemail) saying he's at my house "looking at the roof now and I'm going to get this taken care of" and another from Bailey who said "I'm sorry there's been miscommunication and I thought they called you back but your file is open and on Brock's desk so he will give you a call when he gets back". Here is my phone log to TJ, Brock AND Bailey: Jan 10, Jan 12, Jan 17, Jan 18, Jan 22, Jan 23, Jan 24, Jan 30, Feb 1, Feb 2, Feb 5, Feb 13. I have never spoken with the owner of this company directly. Add on a handful more calls from my insurance agency and I'm sure we'd be pushing ~25 phone calls. Not to mention any of the follow-up emails sent after a voicemail was left. I've kept all my call logs, emails, and text messages. Here's the problem: insurance deemed my roof "UNACCEPTABLE" because it's wavy. I worked with insurance to get all the documentation they needed and even had a time set up for another inspector to meet them at the house. THEY DIDN'T RETURN MY PHONE CALLS and left me high & dry. Moral of the story is - Columbia Exteriors and Brock Steinmetz play BAD BUSINESS. They take your money and run, leaving you with a roof that can't be fully insured. The worst part is I did my homework; it took me 5 months to find a roofer that I felt like was the right fit; I made sure to double and triple check the contract/payment terms/timeline; I even made sure that I paid AFTER the work was complete. How would anybody know that a professional would do work like this? News is, you wouldn't unless you were a roofer and/or an inspector with the eye and knowledge to understand what is "good" and what is "BAD" in terms of completeness. Now I'm stuck with a BAD ROOF. Take my experience as a piece of advice and STAY AWAY. This review will be pasted at every single portal I can possibly find so that nobody EVER has to deal with this situation like I had to deal with. If I can help just one person save their $6,000 and get a roof that meets an "acceptable" standard, then I know I've done what I could

Noticed when we bought our home a few years back that there were new gutters and downspouts, except for a key area around our side porch. One group told us "oh, you can't have gutters there based on blah blah blah." I was discouraged and went another rainy season without them, only to have water slapping off the sides and messing with the foundation around it. This group came out, sized it up quickly, explained how they would go about putting gutters on, and that it wouldn't be difficult. I think the group who said I couldn't have gutters on this part was speaking in code for: this is a small job and we don't want to do it. Fortunately, the Gutter Cover crew did. They were really booked out, so we put this on the calendar and waited a month or so. This was one area for improvement. After I signed on to have the work done, there was zero communication, no emails, follow ups, calendar reminders, nothing. I even forgot about it, so I gave them a call to check in and then I was put on the calendar for the following day. Not a big deal, but a confirmation email would've been nice. The work was done quickly, and while it's dusty and dry with no rain in sight, I'm sure they'll hold up well. One thing I want to add to close this out. It isn't the biggest job, and the name of the biz is Gutter Cover, so naturally they would want to sell me on those. The guy I visited with picked up quickly that it wasn't of interest to me at this time, and wasn't pushy or rude. I really appreciated that and it gave me confidence to book them.
