The two employees there seemed less than enthused to get my business. The one employee rang me up but, rang the item up twice then had to take it off. As he was ringing the sale up he asked me if I wanted credit or debit I explained credit. He tried to process the sale and was unable to. So we tried it a third time and I explained to ring it up credit and the other employee had been watching the whole time, she then said they couldn't do credit they could only do debit. So why did they asked me if I wanted credit or debit in the first place. At this point I was done shopping at the store they did not apologize they didn't seem to care they lost my business. What is wrong with the goods and service industry? No wonder everyone buy's from eBay and Amazon. Employees in stores today have no drive or enthusiasm or sense of service and professionalism that's why they're closing.

Once I finished shopping, I was privileged to be in the checkout line to witness Target employee Chris interacting with the customers ahead of me. He was so professional and friendly, handling each person as if he knew them, issuing a warm smile with every interaction. I saw other Target associates come to him asking when to take their breaks or how to handle a particular issue. Chris quickly answered them without losing track of the task or customer in front of him. When it was my turn in line, I asked him how long he had been in management because he looked so young. To my surprise, he told me that he was not a manager. I wish more people with customer service jobs took the time to engage with those around them, as Chris at Target in Marion, IL, does.
