I went shopping several weekends ago for my wedding dress at this store. This is mostly a pageant…read morestore, with essentially a single long rack of wedding dresses. Every single dress was in a clear plastic bag, so it was difficult to physically look at the gowns. When i was asked what I was looking for I specifically said that I did not want a fit and flare or mermaid style dress. Unfortunately 4 out of the 5 dresses that were pulled for me were of the fit and flare style. Also, the person who helped me pull dresses did alterations for the store, rather than a salesperson. I actually found this pretty helpful, even if she was a bit blunt. I didn't end up getting my dress here, but definitely worth a look if you're in the area.

There were two other parties trying on dresses but they were still able to set me up with Carmen. My 1 1/2 year old daughter ran around the store like a crazy child and it did not bother anyone one bit. I kept apologizing but they were all unbothered. It made the experience so much better. Although my daughter didn't let me look at all of the dresses to try on, I picked three the first few minutes I was there. Carmen was so understanding and nice. She helped me in and out of each dress, complimenting every aspect. My daughter even tried to get in the dressing room with us and she was completely unbothered. While my mother kept my daughter occupied, I tried on the three dresses and she helped me find my favorite one. The third dress was absolutely perfect. She agreed with the look that I was going towards. She offered us 10% off and the opportunity to apply for the credit card. All of the staff was extremely helpful and patient with my daughter running everywhere. Kayla checked us out and told me to review my experience. I told her I only came to the store because of their excellent reviews. These reviews are not fake at all. They genuinely love their job. I wouldn't of wanted to go anywhere else. The ONLY downfall is that after we left the store I realized that they did not in fact give me the 10 %. After I left this review, on 10/26/19-- the store manager Lindsay called me and apologized for the missed 10%. I knew this happened by accident and their prompt call due to my review for the correction of this shows that this store is THE BEST when it comes to friendliness and CUSTOMER SERVICE. My daughter went through a lot of dresses trying to find one that fit that she felt comfortable in (she is well endowed). Melody was amazing! She kept looking for us and pepping her spirits up. Then we found the one that made her feel like a princess! You could tell she felt beautiful in it! We will definitely be coming back for 2026 Prom! I highly recommend Anne's to everyone I know. Let's start with the fact that I did my due diligence, called ahead, and ensured that they had appropriate sizes for my future sister in law. They assured me it was okay and they had several good options in her size range so we kept the appointment. On the day of our appointment we showed up a couple minutes early. From the second we walked through the doors we were treated worse than second class citizens. I think it's important to note that the person that "assisted" us was non other than Teresa Hubb, the owner. She took one look at the bride, commented rudely on her size, took us to the last dressing room in the back corner, shoved two dresses in the fitting room, bid us "good luck", and disappeared. There was no offer to help, no questions about what she was looking for, and when we asked about dress options that could be ordered in the brides size she insinuated we couldn't afford it in a very snarky manner. It was obvious she saw us as a nuisance not customers. We decided since the bride was already on the verge of tears from the disgusting treatment by the owner, the size shaming, and the judgement it was best to leave. To salvage the day however, we reached out to Wild Rose Bridal in Murphysboro that usually requires an appointment and fee. Not only did they fit us in last minute but McKenzie (apologies on spelling) was phenomenal, had the dresses set out, made the bride feel special, gave us an amazing discount, and she said yes to the dress. As a large family with 6 daughters, 3 sisters unmarried, and my husband and I planning a wedding for ourselves, the judgment Teresa held and the utter disrespect she showed to our family cost her an abundance of sales and really showed that you shouldn't judge a book by its cover. And Teresa, as an owner you should set a better example for your staff and your community by treating all people no matter size, your perceived wealth status, or anything else that makes humans unique as equals and maybe you could afford to update that sorry excuse for an establishment. Have the day, week, month, and year you deserve. Wild Rose Bridal in Murphysboro, thank you for saving our day, putting a smile back on our brides face, and becoming part of our family.

I was so impressed for how well organized and prepared she was. She was the nicest that we've worked with and she gave us all the tips and trips for the big day! I cannot rave about this place enough!
