She couldn't remember exactly where it was, but we were on the lookout for a big coffee sign. We spotted it and she confirmed it was the right place so we pulled in. I was absolutely amazed how much they have in this store! There is a whole gift shop on one side with all sorts of Michigan made and Michigan themed product. The other side is all sorts of wonderful snacks, coffees and teas, plus there is an ice cream/dessert counter and a coffee counter. On the coffee side there are a few tables set up to relax and enjoy your treats. There are also restrooms that are nice and clean. We ordered a few iced coffees and I brought a pastry home as well. While visiting in the summer I found a mug that I loved, but was going to think about purchasing it until I made my trip during the fall. When I arrived in the fall I was sad to realize that the mug I had my heart set on was no longer in the store and upon asking at the checkout desk I was told that I would be emailed if it were to come back into stock. After two months of no further communication I received an email from Janet stating that they had received the exact mug that I wanted and they were able to ship it the next day. I think we can all agree that 2020 is its own special mess and any other year I might have written this interaction off as "making a sale", but to know that they cared enough to remember this small interaction, organized enough to keep my information after two months, and overall exemplify the best customer service I've experienced in a long time is something that I consider to be worth praise. I wore the colored shawl twice when the back bottom started Unraveling. I was going to just get it altered instead of sending it back but thought I would reach out to Lori Herrington the owner. I sent her photos and let her know what happened. I was shocked that within three hours she got back to me and said she would send me a total new replacement. I received it within the week!
