Forged In Fire Undefeated Judge Ben Abbot teaching an advanced class

Adam's Forge is a great place to learn. The teachers are volunteers as this is a 501c3. They are here because they love their craft and want to share with the public. Each teacher is unique in their approach but they follow the same steps and want you to be happy with your piece even if it means getting a little creative or restarting. They care about their students enjoying the experience. As a regular student, my tip is raise your hand if you have questions or want to learn that extra level. The teachers are used to people coming in for fun and if you want to be held to that extra level, they're happy to give feedback. I've looked at other forges and AF has the most classes and I think it's a good value. I've taken some of the expensive classes and have not regretted a single one. I upped my game every time.

After watching Forged in Fire, I signed up for their intro class and had a blast! Since then, I've taken classes on letter openers and knives. next I want to take some of the artistic classes and learn how to make a metal rose.

Same, back view.

I took Chloe Kono's intro to jewelry making class. In 6 hours, I made a piece from scratch under her guidance. The process, techniques, pro tips and demonstrations - she covered it all, with a casual and supportive vibe. I learned so much, I needed a nap. The end piece wasn't bad for a first go. The main thing was, I had a really good time trying something new.

I had such a great time in Chloe Kono's No Solder Layered Pendant workshop! I learned about the processes and materials.. It was great that she was able to take time with us individually while giving us the freedom to experiment. This is definitely something I'd do again. I'm looking forward to another class to play w/ new material & techniques.

Adam's Forge is the single greatest thing thats ever happened to Simi Valley. I've always wanted to get into blacksmithing and bladesmithing, but its never felt attainable. Adam's Forge moved to Simi Valley in July of 2023 and I've learned so much from them. Really though. So much. If you've ever wanted to dip your toes into the art of blacksmithing, go sign up for a class! Here are a couple pictures of finished projects from classes I've taken at adams forge

Literally a home away from home. If you're considering blacksmithing this is absolutely the place to start. The faculty are warm and welcoming. They've got combined decades of knowledge on blacksmithing and are happy to share. The classes range from beginner projects to complex tools used in other blacksmithing. I've been going since 2018 and don't even want to think of my life before Adam's forge. It's a magical place full of magical people.

This was one of the coolest experiences I've had in a very long time. Learning how to blacksmith is a very unique experience. I think it is well worth the price to take a row piece of metal and turn it into something useful, using your own hands, your own skill, and the lessons provided. The teachers and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I absolutely will have to go back one day.

My boyfriend and I attended a letter opener discovery class! It was so much fun and 100% worth the price. There was 7 people in the class that was about 4 hours long. There was 2 instructors that were both knowledgeable and kind. The instructors taught us how to make the letter opener from start to finish. What was important to me was that I actually learned! The instructors helped me understand the process, and gave me options on how to fix mistakes. It was truly a wonderful experience and I think my boyfriend and I have found a new hobby. He also did a more advanced class the next day and he felt that the discovery class was a wonderful introduction.

This was one of the best classes I've ever taken period. Just imagine what you think the perfect introduction to blacksmithing would be and it's better than that. I was blown away at how hands on it was and you literally do everything yourself with instructors there to answer any question and show you how to do every technique. Dossain was our teacher and he was born to do this. I am also a teacher of another trade and I can appreciate a patient, knowledgeable and excited teacher. I will be back because they introduced me to an incredibly rewarding new hobby. Thank you guys so much and I'll be seeing you again soon. Best, Jon

BBQ poker tool made in Discovery Class

I bought tickets to a Discovery Class at Adam's Forge for my boyfriend's birthday. Neither of us have tried blacksmithing and I thought it would be super difficult, but it really wasn't! With the expert guidance of the staff, we made two professional-looking BBQ pokers. The class was about 4.5 hours, alternating between working and learning. We're definitely interested in returning, they have lots of options for things you can make, and they have Open Forge sessions where you can come in and work on your craft. There is a small parking area across the street from the forge. And, Ave 26 tacos are right around the corner if you get hungry!

Me and two friends took the beginners blacksmithing class with Aram and it was INCREDIBLE!! He was such a great instructor. Kind and patient with an incredible sense of humor (which really helped with the three of us) while also keeping safety a priority. We ended up spending 5 hours there and could not be more pleased with our final project. I would HIGHLY recommend taking classes here.

What are the friends of the forge specials? Is this a class that is geared for couples or pairs?

The first time I went in was right before Christmas, when I had just moved into my new home and needed a dining room table for Christmas dinner. I was able to find exactly what I needed, and they even helped me load it into my car. I later went back and found a family room table at a great price as well. Most recently, I stopped in looking for a single cabinet knob to replace one that was missing--and once again, they came through. Their selection is impressive, even for small items, and the people who work there are always kind and willing to help. Great prices, great selection, and genuinely friendly people. Unfortunately, the only thing I didn't like is that the guy really didn't help much and he noticed that it was a big bag I had to carry. I feel like they could have just helped out a little more, but overall, I feel like this Goodwill is very convenient and easy if you want to donate something you could just pull up in the bins is right there when I'm in the area and I have clothes to donate. I was surprised that goodwill has their employees checking eBay prices when goodwill themselves receive all these items for free. I wanted to add the Funko to my collection but it makes no sense that they mark up the prices per eBay postings. I might as well shop on eBay if that's the case.
