The pain took away my appetite and I lost a lot of weight. I also had a lot of trouble sleeping at night. I saw Robin Pflieger to get help. Robin tested my mobility and strength in a number of different ways to try to determine what and where my problems were and what kinds of physical therapy would help. She watched me stand up, sit down, and walk with the walker. She then taught me to do various exercises and explained the purpose of each one. She also did a certain amount of stretching and massage. Some of that helped and some didn't, but she paid attention to any feedback I gave her and adapted her treatments in light of what I was reporting. We talked the entire time over the course of two sessions so that, in addition to getting good physical therapy, I got answers to a lot of questions that I had no one else to ask about. Another reviewer said that Robin is "a wonderful listener, encourager, and skilled physical therapist." I agree. All of the doctors and other physical therapists I had spoken to were very non-committal about my prospects. I think no one wanted to make any promises about what I would or wouldn't be able to do and so they just offered their treatments and said "We'll see what happens." Robin told me that she believed that physical therapy would give me a lot of benefit and she turned out to be right. She gave me motivation to work at this and the work paid off. I haven't cured my pinched nerve. I still have a lot of pain. I may need surgery to resolve the underlying condition. But I've gotten out of the walker, I can walk around the house, climb stairs, take a shower standing up, do household chores, drive my car, and walk a couple of blocks or so before the pain really builds up. My wife and I are now living a much more normal life instead of the life of a cripple and his caretaker. I highly recommend her services.

I have seen several physical therapists through the years, and none come close to Robin. Following two failed rotator cuff surgeries on the same shoulder, Robin is the ONLY medical professional (and I have seen many) to give me hope for the future. The last three years have been filled with disappointment, anger, despair, frustration, and pain. In just two sessions with Robin, so much has improved physically, emotionally, and mentally. Despite coming in every 6 months for preventative dental care, per the recommendations of the American Dental Association ... and per the coverage allowance of our dental insurance, my son was neglected, and left without proper dental treatments. Hanover Dental Care's complete disregard for my son's oral health led to an emergency visit with a pediatric dentist, who then urgently referred us to an oral surgeon, who IMMEDIATELY scheduled my son for a sedated surgical extraction of three baby teeth that were left to rot and decay in his mouth. Due to this office's complete and utter neglect in the diagnosis of several large cavities, and the lack of appropriate treatment of those cavities, we are now paying thousands of dollars out of pocket, and are forced to schedule our son for multiple sedation dentistry treatments in order to preserve his teeth.

I just finished 3 months of Physical Therapy at Adams County Physical Therapy rehabbing shin splints. I am a runner and have had recurring shin splints on and off for 5 years. I have been to 3 different PT's over the years and have been to sports medicine doctors trying to solve this problem. Running is very important to me, and when this issue flares up it usually means a lot of time off and inconsistent running. I have never been able to progress past the issue. From the first visit, Rob and Nichole listened carefully to my goals and did a thorough examination of my shins as well as the whole chain of movement in my body that contributes to the issue that I have. They created a program that addressed where I have weakness through building strength and also took the time at each appointment to address the pain and discomfort that I felt using techniques like ultrasound therapy, soft tissue massage, heat, etc. I was also able to continue running, (although in a modified training plan) and I totally credit their wonderful service and treatment for getting me to the start and finish of my spring half marathon. To my astonishment, through it all-- I KEPT RUNNING. That has never happened before. What sets this place apart: Rob and Nichole. From your first appointment it will be clear how important their patients are to them and the patient's goals. They build rapport with every single person that walks through the door- be it for an employment assessment or someone like me who is a frequent flyer. They made it fun to come to therapy, and kept me laughing through it all. I never felt forgotten about, they always remembered my pain, my goals, my kids names, my dog's names. They checked in with me constantly to ask my pain level and to see how I progressed. They added difficulty when I needed a challenge, and they modified when things were too hard. During my appointment, she voluntarily shared a story about a former patient who used pronouns outside of "he" or "she." She stated that she refused to use those pronouns and expressed that she does not respect people who do. She also commented that her daughter is "too much of a stickler" for LGBTQ+ rights. This conversation had nothing to do with my treatment, yet it was brought into a healthcare setting where patients should feel safe, respected, and welcome regardless of their identity. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I found these comments deeply disappointing and offensive. I also have family members who use they/them pronouns, so hearing a healthcare provider openly describe refusing to respect a patient's identity was unsettling. Everyone is entitled to their personal beliefs. However, when those beliefs are expressed in a way that signals certain patients may not be treated with the same respect or dignity, people deserve to know before choosing where to receive care. If you are non-binary, gender-fluid, or simply expect your healthcare providers to respect patients' identities, I would encourage you to consider this experience before choosing this practice.
