This company was recommended to me from a relative of mine, so I trusted and used them for my…read morewedding. I was a bit hesitant because not only did my wedding planner advise against them, my caterer, decorator AND the venue I used all said not to use them, I should have listened to them, but their prices were really competitive!
Anyway, they have a reputation of not showing up on time thus waterfalls into making your entire production fall behind. My planner and caterer had to be on top of this company like white on rice to make sure they got there on time, there was a few hiccups that could have been avoided if I used another company.
We also hired them to put a tent over our pool & when they arrived to set up, they said we needed to put down a covering for the pool which was an additional expense they did not disclose to us. You would think, they would inform the customer if they want a tent over a pool, they also need to cover the pool for that to happen. Needless to say, we were not happy with their lack of professionalism.
Fast forward a month later I noticed 2 charges on my credit card that are not mine. I discussed with mom and found out that her payment did not go through, so she wrote them a check that they personally picked up, yet somehow they decided to charge MY card (they kept my credit card info without my knowledge) for her services. I am in a battle with MC and that company to get back $3515.75! I am so pissed at both companies and I feel like my financials are being violated by a shit company. I called Party Depot and the lady Guila , keeps telling me the manager isn't there but he's the one I need to speak with about the charges and she's very rude about it too. She is blaming the sales woman, Suzanne, who I already spoke with and she said it was an accounting error. It's like a damn circus with this company.
They have good pricing, BUT STAY THE EFF AWAY, you'll end up paying more with your time and money that they just steal from you.
8/16/17: UPDATE: they STILL have not issued my refund. The office girl who always answers the phone, Guila conveniently she always tells me that Gaston is not in the office when I call. She was supposed to email me confirmation that my refund was processed on Monday, I called today, Wednesday, she said she wasn't able to email on Monday, but she did it on Tuesday. An email doesn't take 48 hrs to send, I confirmed with her the email address and she had the correct one, still no email...or refund.
UPDATE: Later in the day of 8/16/17: I received the email (after I wrote a FB review for them, which I took down right after since they can remove them on FB), I got a call from Guila trying to explain she did not know there is 2 charges, she will look into it now. I have been speaking with her for a month now telling her the same thing, needless to say, we get into an argument and I got a faster response from them because I put a FB review online, than I did my refund, which still hasn't been resolved. I told the sales rep, FB isn't the only place people leave reviews, clearly they do not look at their Yelp pages for Party Depot or Party Max (same company).
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! YOU WILL REGRET IT!!
