Do not use. Taxi company is the worst I have ever used. Did not show up at the Taxi line at the Hotel and had to have concierge call. Driver was parked in parking lot, no sign, did not tell bellman he was there. I had to have the hotel call and found out driver was sitting in parking lot and did not tell bellman he was there waiting for me. It added 20 minutes to my ride to the airport. Certainly would rather be at the beach for the 20 minutes instead of wasted time getting nervous that I would miss my flight. My credit card was charged more than I signed for. I called and was denigrated by "TOM" who said he was manager. Also said he would refund the overdcharge and did not. Called back and again was denigrated and no refund. No need for this. Truly intent is to rip off tourists. Plus, people from same hotel used Uber and paid half of what I was quoted BEFORE the added on amount that they unscrupulously charged me for. read more

Wow, scheduled a pick up for 11:45am to the airport. 15 minutes late, and after 4 phone calls, he tells me that the taxi is at the pick up location. NO - he's not, then he asks for another 5 minutes, 20 minutes late in total. Meantime we get a ride from a friend so I call to cancel and he huffs at me AND HANGS UP ON ME. Excellent experience with Adam cab. Called them when Lyft failed to show up. Adam arrived within 10 minutes and got us to the ferry in Oak Bluffs on time, actually early, for our departure boat. This was my first time using a cab anywhere, and it was pretty disappointing, only giving them 2 stars because they arrived on time. When I called to ask how it worked and said it was my first time using a cab he actually laughed at me and said "wow" (in a rude way, not a friendly way.) I had looked at prices for cabs online in Martha's Vineyard beforehand and it looked like it should be about a $5-10 trip for the 3 miles I was going. The total ended up being $25. Adam Cab is by far the most unprofessional and disjointed taxi service I have ever experienced. Firstly, both times we ordered the taxi, they were between 5 and 10 minutes late. When we called again, the dispatcher (Chaliffe) was very short with us. Secondly, the pricing system is completely bogus and easily a method to take a little more from travelers. When ordering the taxi over the phone, the person on the other line said the price of the cab would be $40. Once we were picked up, our driver called Chaliffe about 5 minutes into our trip, and he said the price would now be $50. After we confronted the driver, he called back the dispatcher, who instructed the driver to drop us off on the side of the road. Because the driver was on speaker, we were able to hear the entire conversation, and even chimed in to confront Chaliffe, who ignored every word we said. I understand that there few travel services in Martha's Vineyard, so if you must use this service, MAKE SURE YOU ASK FOR A PRICE BEFORE YOU ARE PICKED UP. read more

Another good driver more than willing to engage in conversation and answer questions that I'm sure he gets every day. Finally Edgartown to the ferry. I live on Martha's Vineyard and I am very embarrassed by the cab ride today. I took a cab ride from the Chappy ferry to the Rotary after the high school and was charged just about $40. My son drove for stage coach which is a very reputable cab company. In the high season I took cabs from the chappy Ferry to Vineyard Haven and OB and was never charged more than $25. When I questioned the fare, the rude cab driver responded that my son must've driven 20 years ago. Too bad this guy was so incompetent with math on all fronts. First driver met us from the ferry and seemed to be falling asleep on the ride to the hotel. Fighting to keep his eyes open. We initiated conversation with him to keep him awake but still had a couple close calls-almost rear ending a couple of people. Then upon departure used them again hoping for better- it was worse.This time driver not wearing real mask-some type of knit scarf with plenty of holes. This guy was a lifesaver! I had an early flight out of MVY and it didn't even occur to me to book a ride ahead of time. They didn't answer the phone at 4:15am (I mean, of course not. Nobody does) but after trying 5 other cab companies, calling the airport for advice (the night operator there was very friendly and as helpful as he could be), and checking Lyft and Uber non-stop, Adam Cab answered and was there in 10 minutes. He could tell I was stressed about getting the ride and was super helpful getting me to cool it (My dad raised me to get to the airport at least 2 hours early and you for sure don't need to do that on the island, but old habits, ya know?). I now know to book ahead if I'm ever out here again and will FOR SURE call them. read more

This is the worst cab service on the island. Adam cab was suppose to pick us up from Vine Square Hotel at 5:45am to take us to the airport. Well, we called just to make sure. They had no idea they were suppose to pick us up. Anyway they said the fare was $22, but since they needed to be there at 5:45 they were going to charge us $44, we said that was outrageous. Then he changed the price to $35. After calling Your Taxi cab service, who only charged us $16, we called Adam Cab back and canceled with them. Thank god for companies like Your Taxi. If I could give zero stars I would. Stay away from this company. It could cost you! To begin with, my daughter was picked up late from her hotel to go to the airport, and without her consent, the driver stopped to pick up other passengers. These passengers proceeded to take pictures outside of the cab wasting more time. When my daughter nicely reminded the driver that she had to get to the airport to check bags she was told everything would be fine. Well, it was not fine! She was not able to properly check one of her bags which then caused the bag to become lost. This occurred this past Monday and Delta can still not find it. If she had been taken to the airport on time, the chances were very good that this would not have happened. When I called to complain and to request a refund for this horrible service, a rude gentleman who would not give me his name, but identified himself as a manager, said he did not work in baggage claim. Not only did he completely miss the point, he would not take any responsibility for being late, or stopping for additional passengers. We are trying to settle with Delta, but in no way will it cover the total cost of the luggage and all her clothing. Please do make the mistake of hiring this company. read more

Appalling Pandemic behavior exhibited by this company. We had called ahead and scheduled a cab pick up in Oak Bluffs to Edgartown. They asked us to wait 20 minutes, which we did. When finally picked up - our party of 3 were the only people in the XL van which was par for the course since I had scheduled this cab in advanced. Unknown to us, 4 MORE parties were immediately picked up from the ferry. These parties ranged from 1 person to 3 people parties all stuffed in the same van. Much to our dismay, masks were NOT required or even suggested! Mind you, 6 restaurants are closed in Edgartown right now bc of a delta breakout among staff. Airports fully require masking, as do ferries as do trains, as do subways. WHY this taxi company feels exempt from transparency (I.e, telling people who schedule in advance that they will be amongst 9 other unmasked strangers....) is beyond. This company is the biggest tourist trap. As soon as we left the steamship authority ferry today, there were already a few of these big van taxis waiting. Us, 2 adults and 1 child, had no idea how to find our way around yet. And we just wanted to get to our place. The driver waived us into this van, 3 people already waiting inside the cab. So, it was a SHARED cab ride. The driver told us "28 dollars" to get from Oak Bluffs ferry terminal to Edgartown on Main St. We assumed all the parties in the cab would share the cost, it seemed fair. But wrong!! After the driver had us wait for 15 minutes in the hot cab to lure in more people to ride with him, we finally left the terminal. As soon as we arrived in Edgartown, he asked $20 from the woman in front of us, then $24 from us!! And there were more people! This guy ripped us all off. He kept changing prices for everyone. Save your dollars. Get an Uber if you can. We were a family of 4 and got a different taxi to Edgartown from Oak Bluffs for $40 with 4 stops. On the way back from Edgartown (movie theater area on Main Street) with one less stop, Adam Cab charged us $60 ($20 a stop, within a mile from all three stops in Oak Bluffs). I tried to call and reason, but that's their policy; too steep and not concerned about competing prices. Seriously criminal to charge $60 for three stops on the way home from each other within a mile at 9 PM at night on a Thursday. I do live here year round, so maybe I am more sour than the average guest. read more

awful customer service/relations! Will never use again. I called to reserve a 15 passenger van for 13 passengers plus a full size dog. Driver shows up will 12 passenger and insisted extra person goes in another vehicle with the dog. He offered no solution and even charged full price for 2 very small children.
