I'm a super patient, understanding person and I don't leave bad reviews unless they are truly deserved.
Andrew is very responsive initially. He does a great job selling the idea of building with Adair. Executing and facilitating the sale are not his strong suit. Maybe at some point in time he was even good at his job. I don't know. He is really great at pulling excuses out of a hat, though.
His communication is inconsistent and eventually he stopped replying altogether. My husband and I wanted to build with Adair and spent a lot of time looking at land to purchase in King County. We would send parcel listings to Andrew, and he would respond with whether he thought they were good options or not. There were many instances of missed communications with him. He would talk about how busy he was or how he was working 12 hour shifts. That's cool. So in a twelve hour shift, you couldn't respond to my one email or answer your phone? I guess the other sales person in his office stopped working there and he had to take over all of her projects at some point.
We were pre-approved and had a pending offer on land that Andrew gave us a thumbs up on. The land was absolutely inaccessible by any road other than a bike trail. We flew into Seattle from out of state to do the site visit for this unusable land. What a waste of time.
Everyone makes mistakes so I just let it slide. The communication on his end got worse after that. I haven't heard back from him since January. He has "missed" emails in the past. If you are working with a client, and you "hadn't heard from them," you probably would have checked in with them after 2 months don't you think?
I am thankful we had no financial investment in working with Adair.
10/10 do not recommend building with Adair if you will be based out of the North Bend location. They are way too busy to take care of their customers properly.
The construction super for this area, Mark, was also looking for land in the same area that they build out of. Seems like a possible conflict of interest to me. read more
