As an update, after this review was posted, Tony called to insist it should be taken down, claiming he is not racist and does not take blurry photos. He admitted he actually doesn't have photos due to the issues with his equipment, stating, "The camera was glitching and I've never seen that before." He continued shooting without checking the photos throughout the day--unacceptable for a professional vendor. Initially, he offered a full refund for several items, but when we met in person, he reduced the offer to less than half, demanded we sign a disclosure to remain silent, and only offered a book of photos. He stated, "This won't hold up in court of law because you're still getting a product." Following up I made a request and they sent an email back about no longer willing to speak with me, only their attorneys. For brides considering ADA, know this: you may never see your wedding photos, and you will likely only receive minimal compensation. Many couples were "paid" to remain silent, and we later discovered multiple others with disappointing experiences. Tony withheld our video repeatedly; when it was finally sent, it was poorly done and had been uploaded to their website before we even met with him. Without posting this review and requesting a meeting, I have no doubt he thought he would have gotten away with it. During our sit-down, Tony became extremely frustrated and raised his voice, insisting that he was being called a "racist." I never directly called him racist, but his behavior and remarks throughout the day could easily be perceived that way. He made numerous unprofessional and unethical comments that negatively affected me, my mother, and the entire bridal party.. Please, save yourself the heartache and avoid this company. Company communicated well, so easy to make payments, ask questions, add more to your package, etc. Danielle is easy and accommodating to work with via email, phone etc. Day of wedding, showed up on time. First of all what I LOVED is that he spoke to my bridal party and gave a little pep talk/speech about how the days gonna run, how we're here for the bride, etc. Wether they listened or not who knows but I loved that he took time out to refocus the group with all the chaos going on during hair and makeup. Stayed for whole wedding! Didn't leave, attentive, captured as much as they can. Only thing I regret is that my husbands main photographer captured A LOT of photos with my husband and his family members one on one... I don't have any of that. He was very well versed with the area and knew exactly where to go to take photos. My wife and I worked with Tony, Hugo and Tony's assistant, Samantha, on our wedding day in 2018 and there were some positives and, it pains me to say this, some negatives about our whole experience with ADA. First off, we visited a few different wedding photographers and we have to say ADA offered the most competitive pricing for the package offered, so that is a major plus to any couple trying to keep expenses down. Second, everyone we spoke with throughout the process, prior to signing our contract, was relatively professional. The sales coordinator we signed our contract with, Joe, was easy going and explained to us all of the details of the package we were getting, which was great, but he basically reiterated what was on the paper. Honestly, just our opinion, but he didn't seem too invested in us signing with them. He didn't sell us hard on the packages and he wasn't very convincing as the pricing was ultimately what really convinced us to go with them. For our engagement photo shoot, Tony (the owner) was our photographer. I first want to say that he was VERY nice, down to Earth and made us feel very relaxed. He joked around a lot and that loosened us up. And although he was super nice to us during the shoot, I really hate to say that this, but after we received the photos we didn't feel that the work blew us away. The photos were OK, partially because we had to have the photo shoot at a generic looking beach (in our eyes) at Wading River, Long Island. We were hoping to be able to do it closer to where we had once lived in Brooklyn. I can't knock him a whole bunch because of the "blah" location since it looked like any other beach. The big knock we did have was that we waited quite a while (many weeks) for the photos to be available for viewing on their site (after we had reached out multiple times) and we actually had access to other couple's photos too at the beach. As for our wedding day, Tony was my wife's photographer for a majority of the morning, until after our 1st look. Throughout our wedding day, he was our main photographer and took most of the photos we needed. Once again, his great personality shined, but there were additional photos that we wished we got in there. My wife thought her photos were going to be taken outdoors with her bridesmaids, but all of her photos were taken indoors inside of our hotel and wedding venue so she didn't get any photos with her bridesmaids alone outdoors. In addition, prior to our wedding, we offered to give Tony a list of photos we wanted to take with certain family members and friends, but he recommended we trust him and keep the sheet. His exact words were "Honestly, I will probably take this list and put it in my back pocket and not look at it. I've been doing this for a long time, trust me." We put our faith and trust in his experience and I wish we would have been more insistent with the list because many photos were missed that would have been captured if the list was followed. If there are photos you want to take, be adamant that they follow your instructions and don't take no for an answer! As for our 2nd photographer, Hugo, he worked with my groomsmen and I for a majority of the morning. Hugo was AWESOME the entire day and, especially in the morning when he was just exclusive to the guys. My groomsmen and I held no punches in our conversations and Hugo jumped in like he was one of us. He definitely fit right into our group and it made the photo-taking process that much easier to complete. If anything, he went above and beyond as he helped the guys put on their boutonnieres and he also provided guidance to me to make sure I never ran into my wife once prior to the 1st look. My wife also loved his attitude to us too. In retrospect, we wished ADA would have suggested for us to take photos with others that we didn't get to take official photos with - ah-hem - basically the list of photos we had initially submitted to Tony that we felt was dismissed. Honestly, it was partially our fault for missing out on some photo opportunities, but we would have hoped that whomever we hired would have the experience to whisper in our ears to make sure that we got all of the photos we wanted because it was such a chaotic day. Part of their job is to utilize their experience to help us out and make sure we get the most and best photos we can get. In addition, a majority of our engagement and wedding photos ended up being OK, meaning angles, post-production touch-ups were not as unique compared to other wedding photos we had seen from friends. They weren't awful by any means, but in the end, as I said, we wished they would have been better. The experience as a whole didn't feel as intimate, as some of our other friends who worked with independent photographers felt, but it's a matter of preference if you want them to be more or less involved. What can I say about this place besides SPECTACULAR!! I could only imagine some of these reviews for many of these vendors are probably paid for in my opinion. ADA photography to me, is one of the most professional and understanding studios I've been to and I have been to other photography studios. Also a big plus that they're pro law enforcement with me being a retiree and all. Let's start off with the initial contact with Tony. It was a pleasure being able to get in touch with you very quickly and from there with the rest of your team members after giving me the whole rundown of your wedding day process. Next up, Danielle who was there to help take care of the payments and getting things ready to be set in motion. Very patient as well as being able to help in whatever ways she can when your schedule didn't work out. Absolutely sweet and amazing! Now onto the main part of this review. My wife and I again would like to give a HUGE shout out to Tony(main photographer), Stephano(videographer) and Mike(photographer assistant) for taking care of our wedding and making sure our pictures went through smoothly despite the weather being a little hot but they kept it moving along and made sure we were taken care of as to enjoy the rest of the time. And lastly for our reception. You guys were great and very personable when it came to following along the schedule! I really liked the fact you got to see our nonsense, shenanigans and enjoyed my garter dance and captured all with the photography part! Thank you for that! If I could leave Zero stars, I would. I never leave reviews online. I normally would express my satisfaction or disservice behind the scenes and simply move on. But considering that ones wedding day for a couple is one of the most special days in your life, I think it's important to leave this review. While the wedding planning process is often times stressful, my fiancee' (now husband) and I at the time had rendered ADA services for our wedding photographs. Just to preface...We had a simple wedding, not super small, but not over the top big with hundreds of people. We did not have a bridal party, just a MOH and a BM. We got married at our venue. Prior to our event, the communication with ADA did not start off on the right foot after we signed our contract. The staff is so beyond rude, unprofessional, unresponsive, dismissive, always huffy and rushing to get you off the phone. Communicating with Tony, the owner was basically non existent after our initial sit down. The lady who helps coordinate, that answers the phone, Danielle, was so curt, and abrupt, and completely disorganized. The night before our wedding, Joe (the photographer) assigned to our wedding called to go over a few things. He seemed annoyed, disinterested, and had a terrible attitude, before we even met the guy. On our wedding day, he was equally as rude, aggressive and even nasty at times for no reason. He literally had to come to the venue, and take pictures, that's what you were hired to do. Even ours guests found him extremely unpleasant. The quality of the pictures, and his creativity was extremely underwhelming. We have better photos from people's cell phones. Post wedding, was even more unprofessional dealing with them. Tony, the owner even offered to "recreate" our wedding day, since he's gotten complaints before about Joe, and the overall service of his business. We did not even bother. You get married, it's your wedding day, that's your day. No do' over, for what? Me as a bride, to get my hair, makeup redone, and dress cleaned, and for my husband to rent a new tux to take photos that should have been taken right the first time. No, thank you. The thank you cards looked like they were printed on a computer. Shutterfly could have done better. Just an overall disappointing experience with their services. The album sucks too. Half the pictures we selected aren't even in there. We have an extremely large family, all approaching life event stages in life, engagements, weddings, baby showers, etc. All have asked us who we used as vendors for our wedding, since it was a great day overall, with the exception of ADA. I would NEVER recommend them to anyone, even if they were doing the job for free. The service and quality, just isn't there. So save yourself the aggravation, and disappointment, and go elsewhere. He showed up early, was very professional and has a great funny and friendly personality that made taking a million photos so easy for me and my wedding party. I remember Helen telling me I it would be worth the wait and it was! The trailer they made was AMAZING, I was so happy and impressed. I had Tony (the owner) and Michael as an assistant. It was convenient because Tommy tunes and ADA are in the same building (along with the guys suit place). Tony does this wild, cool, pyrotechnic photo- and that was ONE shot we NEEDED and it came out great. I feel that my other photos were VERY staged with my family, which bothers me. I don't feel like I have a LOT of "GREAT" photos that I'm in love with.... No photos were taken of guests during my ceremony/reactions which makes me upset. Not a single photo of me with my mother's sister, my aunt which makes me very upset. I had a list of "must haves" and they were not all captured, yet I gave the list to the assistant. At one point after my ceremony, the lighting tripod fell over (it was very windy) and Tony went up to my mothers good friend and said "thanks for breaking my light." -- didn't ask if she was ok, and was very rude and unprofessional about it. No one told me until the next day, which I'm glad about, but that rubbed me the wrong way. Michael was great and made sure my dress was always perfect for pictures, however I feel like my hair was out of place often in photos which bothers me. I think I had a very bad experience with them because all of their reviews were great. read more

Tony and his team did our wedding and engagement photos and they did a fantastic job! Tony was very kind and patient when posing us for our pictures, but also extremely efficient at the same time. Julia and Stephano were amazing! Julia was a super friendly, assertive and very organized. We banged out a huge portion of the formal photos before my lovely bride even arrived to the venue. All of the pictures she took were wonderful. And there were SOOOOO many of them. My wife and I couldn't be happier with the outcome of the photos. We even got to keep a DVD filled with decent resolution copies of the pictures. We were able to do every picture and pose we wanted, AND Julia had a whole game plan of her own as well. Leading up to the wedding, Tony our photographer personally reached out to check in and ensure he knew everything he needed to know before the day of. The office is friendly and helpful at all levels. The day of the wedding, the team arrived it was Tony, Hugo, Erik and others-They knew exactly what to do, kept us in time check, kept us having fun and made sure that they got every shot we didn't even know we wanted (until we got our photos back!) Posing for pictures isn't always easy and sometimes it can be awkward but they made sure they caught natural angles and again, kept us having fun especially while i was freaking out leading up to walking down the aisle! Beyond disappointed with my choice in this studio for my wedding. My pictures did not come out well. Their method of delivering photos to their clients is sloppy and confusing. They claim to send you all your photos in high resolution, but that is false. They barely took any photos of me and my husband, and more so took photos of our wedding party. Our photographer, Lee, never took photos of my husband and his grandmother OR of us and our extended families. We felt rushed and almost as if we could have taken better photos on a professional camera on our own. Their customer service is also terrible and not helpful whatsoever. It is upsetting because I had seen great work from them and read good things, but my experience and now the only photos I have from my wedding are nothing but a disappointment and waste of money. read more

Our wedding was 8/13/16...aka the hottest day of the summer. This didn't stop our photographer Steve and his assistant from going above and beyond to make sure we had the best pictures possible. We ran late at the house with all the pictures that were taken there, which is my only negative about the whole experience, BUT we have tons of proofs to choose from because of it. We had to take pics thru out the reception which got to us a little at times, but I was beyond impressed of the job they did and knew it would pay off in the end with all the amazing photos we would have of our day...they did not disappoint. I chose ADA because they had reasonable prices, friendly staff and the pictures I had seen were beautiful but not too 'artsy' (overdone with filters, etc). Just perfect for what we were looking for. We received a free selfie station with our package which was a HUGE hit at the wedding...also got an engagement shoot for free that we did at a beautiful park in setauket. I just received my proofs and I couldn't be happier with the overall experience with this company and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a photographer. My wife and I used this studio for photography and videography in our small wedding ceremony. Our original wedding date was set for June, and we had everything booked and in order. As I'm sure many have noted, things have been changed abruptly and a lot has been thrown up in the air. We thought ADA's photography team was top notch, one of a kind and the best of the best from the time we began working with ADA studios and yet they managed to blow us away on the wedding day and after when we received our video and pictures! They arrived on time, they set the mood(fun, relaxed, exciting and upbeat mood) they interacted with everyone in the wedding party. They organized a great team with the limousine company on the day of, making sure everyone was in sync so the day would run smoothly and they were successful at it. We could not have done it without their professionalism. We truly understand why they are ever so busy and completely booked. When your wedding is over all you have left are the photos and video. Photography was very important to me, but I couldn't believe some of the prices I was getting for photo packages, until I came to ADA, who offered very competitive package prices that gave me everything I wanted. We used ADA for our wedding in September. Tony and Hugo were our photographers and they were amazing. Hugo especially was very welcoming and easy to get along with and feel comfortable with. Hugo actually looked over our day of timeline, and called us to let us know he just didn't think we had enough time to do what we wanted to do so we moved some things around and called the limo company and thank god we did because he was 100% right! It was nice to know our photographer actually cared enough to make sure we got the photos where we wanted them and wouldn't feel rushed. Tony was great about keeping everything moving and staying organized. We also had Rich for videography and I can't remember his assistant's name but they were both extremely friendly and calm despite walking into mayhem at my parents house with us all getting ready together! All of them were very helpful & professional throughout the day and kept everything under control. We had a huge bridal party (21 people) and we managed to get great pictures of everyone. Our photos are absolutely beautiful and I couldn't be happier with the final result. There are so many to choose from and know we will have a very difficult time choosing photos for our albums and thank you cards. I really can't say enough about how fantastic the day of service was, and how beautiful the pictures are! All of our family and friends are blown away and can't stop talking about how amazing the photos are! We haven't received video yet, but we know that takes longer to receive. For day of service and final result I'd undoubtedly say they are well worth the money and would give them 5/5 stars! The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is solely because of the communication with the office. We booked our engagement shoot, were told the shoot was done with our photographer to "get to know" each other, and when we arrived it wasn't either of our photographers, no big deal. Then I called multiple times about 4-6 weeks prior to my wedding to finalize the day of timeline, and was told they do that the week before my wedding, which didn't make sense to me. Then when I didn't receive a cal a week before my wedding I contacted them, to be told we review that later in the week, 4 days before my wedding still no call so I called them, again, to be told they will contact me 1-2 days prior to my wedding. I finally said no that I needed to speak to someone now and I did. Then the night before my wedding, literally around 7pm while I was eating dinner with my family and bridal party, the videographer called me to go over the same exact timeline. I asked him why I was getting this call right now, less than 24 hours before my wedding, and he said that was just how they usually did things. There were also some communication issues with when our photos would be posted but they were posted just about 6 weeks after our wedding. All in all I would HIGHLY recommend ADA for your wedding photos especially TONY & HUGO!!! read more

My husband and I ended up with a video that was hardly edited. I've seen their work and I know what they are capable of but we really feel like someone dropped the ball on ours. It literally looked as though we were watching a soap opera. Also, the videographer didn't even capture the highlight of the night, which was a ladies vs gents dance battle at the reception. We thought for sure that it had made the video because he was right there recording when it happened but we were disappointed when we didn't see it at all. The videographer (can't remember his name) was well mannered and got along with our photographer so well. His manners and temperament are the only reason any star was given. After we were told it would take 6 to 8 months for editing, we didn't receive a call for pick up until 10 months after our wedding. To top it all off we decided to work with Minister Helen, who is affiliated with ADA. She was great up until the day of our wedding. She got into an argument with my day of coordinator AND my worst nightmare as a bride came true. She pronounced my name wrong at the altar in front of all of our guests! This didn't happen once or twice, but three times, even after my husband and his best man corrected her the first 2 times. I am so incredibly devastated by the way my wedding pictures came out. The pictures are of very poor quality, like the other review we had Lee as our photographer and he was very scattered and unprofessional. I asked him to take one specific very important picture that I wanted of my husband and I and the only one that I received had the waitress in the picture!!! what am I supposed to do with that??So many of the pictures are crooked, color is terrible. So many things wrong I cant even write them all. Than when I spoke to the owner Tony he was the rudest most unprofessional person I have ever dealt with. He spoke to me like he was a gangster. Out of 1000 pics there is over 30 just of my shoes and earrings???? what? There is maybe 30 pictures total that are decent.Thank you ADA for ruining my special day.I hope East Wind stops using them . read more
