Where to start with EXO?! We had our engagement photos and wedding photos and videos done through EXO and they are more beautiful than I ever imagined they could be! I want to review both our wedding experience and our engagement photo experience because both were amazing! Engagement Photos: We did our engagement photos in Dumbo, Brooklyn. It was a blustery December day, but Nicole and Josh made sure we got every photo and didn't rush us through anything! They made both my husband and I (who can be awkward to take pics) feel perfectly comfortable and gave great direction to make sure the photos came out as beautiful as we could have ever imagined! The photos came out STUNNING! We used them for our save the dates and got so many compliments on the photos and people asking who our photographer was! Wedding Photos and Video: Our wedding day team consisted of Jason, Pieter, Nicole, and Josh! Nicole and Josh work so flawlessly together, that you know you're getting the best photos and videos. The morning of the wedding, they were on time and READY to go! I'm not the most organized person, and they managed to get every shot and made sure we stayed on schedule the entire morning! (Which was one my biggest fears and stressors, I hate being late!) All day they checked in with us to make sure that we got every shot we wanted and asked if we wanted any others. The communication was flawless! During the ceremony they were perfectly placed that I didn't even know they were there and they got such beautiful video and photos. After the ceremony we took pictures at our reception outside and they shots all over the venue! They were so flexible, that even towards the middle of the wedding, Nicole realized we would mostly likely need more time. Nicole let me know the timing and offered to extend if we wanted. She also offered an option to get the rest of the stuff done that we wanted on photo and video before the timing ran out, so she gave us ways where we didn't have to spend any more as well. We happily took her up on the offer to extend and her managing the timing took any stress away! (Seriously, I had no stress on my wedding day, and that was because of Nicole, Josh and their team as well as the team at the Harbor Club!) The team stayed without question and were so kind about it! We got the drone footage as well, and it added so much to our videos and photos! If you can add the drone, DO IT! After our wedding we received our trailer and photos SO FAST! We were so excited to relive our wedding day thanks to EXO. I was nervous to see everything because like I said earlier, my husband and I can be awkward, but they are just the most beautiful photos and videos I've ever seen! We got our full video and we just want to watch it over and over again! My entire family (who can sometimes be a bit hard to please lol) couldn't stop raving about our photos and videos! I honestly will never be able to stop gushing about EXO and anytime someone I know gets engaged, I always share my experience with them and how they would be making a huge mistake if they didn't go with EXO! No guidance, he just snaps thousands of shots and then uses the mediocre ones, rather than looking into the lens and finding a good shot. They don't take criticism well, they rather send a novel of justifications on why they are right. Their cinematography is ok, in our 8 hour wedding they were barely able to shoot 20 minutes of good video via apples IMOVIE. The only thing we liked in the video was the teaser in the beginning. The photographer (Phil) was a very nice guy and engaging, the owner Josh is a nice guy and gave us a nice gift at the end, but as far as quality goes we really wish we went elsewhere. UPDATE** After watching our wedding video, we have add; there was no consideration onto what we wanted. He randomly picked people at the wedding to focus on, rather than asking us which guest we want some focus on. My best man had a cameo appearance, my wife's childhood friend was not even in the video, but the random lady who served us food got a lot of video time and so did the random wife of a guest who is family (three times removed). read more

My husband and I hired EXO for our June 2015 wedding. I can honestly not say enough great things about them! The day of our wedding they were able to get wedding preparation shots before the ceremony which was awesome as me and my husband were obviously at differences houses while getting ready. During the ceremony and reception, EXO was able to get all the shots we requested and shots that we didn't even know we wanted, ALL of which were beautiful! Excellent team of professionals... Our video came out unbelievable. We took two cinematographers for the full day and they worked their behinds off taking some awesome shots. Most important for myself and my wife was to have someone non obtrusive that can capture the event in a modern approach, not old school boring videography and that's exactly what they did. We received our bluray DVDs about 5 weeks after our wedding which we couldn't appreciate more. I have friends still waiting from last year for their wedding movie! Nicole and Josh at EXO were the first photographers we met with. We met with many others afterwards, but ultimately came back to EXO because their work could not be beat. Throughout our whole wedding process, they were always available through email or over the phone to go over details like our day of timeline and who we needed photos with. They were extremely organized and very comfortable to be around during our engagement shoot, getting ready pictures, first look, ceremony, and reception. Now that we have received the photos back, they are fantastic as expected. We had a crew of six- two photographers, two cinematographers, and two assistants. I cannot say enough good things about EXO Photography + Cinema. If you're looking for natural, beautifully shot, candid photos, look no further. Our first experience with Nicole and Josh was at our engagement shoot at the Vanderbilt Museum. The two of them work so well together and are so detail-oriented. They make you feel comfortable in front of the camera and provide great direction. Our engagement photos were stunning - I showed them a few inspiration pictures during the shoot and they executed the shots perfectly. We kept in contact frequently leading up to our wedding in June 2020 due to COVID-19. We ultimately ended up postponing to 2021 but still decided to hold a small ceremony on our original wedding date. Nicole and Josh were so accommodating through the postponement process and we were so lucky that they were available for our new date in 2021. They also were able to shoot our small ceremony in June 2020. After our church ceremony we took photos outside at the Harbor Club at Prime. My husband and I always wanted to take photos in the cellar at Prime Restaurant so they were able to pull some strings and get us in there. We were the first bride and groom since the pandemic to take photos at the restaurant so the staff and customers were so excited to see us. The cheering that took over the restaurant is something that I will never forget. It was truly such a special moment. We received our photos less than a week later and I couldn't be happier with them! They are everything I envisioned and more. The EXO team is incredibly professional and the final product they deliver is unmatched. The passion they have for their job really comes through in their work. In deciding on a photographer before our wedding, we wanted to support a young artistic couple in their business and were impressed with the photos and videos they showed us in their office. However, the final product from our wedding was nothing like what was presented to us that day. I should have known from the engagement session that it wasn't a good match when I described my idea of "industrial New York City" themed photos to Josh, and almost all of our photos were focused on New Jersey in the background! On the wedding day itself, they left the very second their hours were up, passing my husband and I taking photos in our photo booth on their way out without so much as asking if we wanted any additional photos taken before they left. To us, going the extra mile, like thinking outside of the box and offering a photo of us in the photo booth on their way out, or even taking a minute to check in with us, would have meant a lot. It took over three months to get a link to our unedited online photos. All of the work seemed sloppy, unprofessional, generic, and lacked creativity or thought. Also, there were NO photos of our dog, the ring bearer in a tuxedo. If a dog is important enough to a couple to put in the ceremony- it's important enough to have a photo of! Nor were there photos of my husband's immediate family at the reception. I should add that we also used EXO's videography, and were equally, if not more disappointed in the video. We had a traditional Jewish ceremony and the videographer missed the breaking of the glass- a staple in Jewish ceremonies. They included all the speeches- about 20 minutes worth- in the edited 35 minute video. The audio quality was so poor you couldn't hear anything that was said, and the remaining 15 minutes hardly captured the rest of the day. In the end I had to put more work into arranging the album and video than they did. Then I was floored when we were asked to pay the $5 for shipping the DVDs after all the money we spent. Josh and Nicole are nice people, but if you want a professional photographer, look elsewhere. read more

Choosing a wedding photographer is one of the hardest decisions to make out of the entire wedding planning process! My biggest fear was to work so hard, plan so long and have none of those magic moments captured. When I met with Nicole in her beautiful studio and she explained her process, asked me questions and made it feel like a truly intimate experience, I knew I had found my wedding day photographers. Our engagement shoot was beautiful. Her and her husband were willing to walk as far as we wanted and make sure we had not only a great experience, but got amazing shots. Before the big day I met with Nicole again with trend boards of "can't miss shots." She patiently listened, understood and BOY DID SHE DELIVER!
