Pack your patience with these folks. My niece's new school uses Ad Special T's as their vendor for uniforms. I used the link the school sent us, which could be improved, but whatever. I placed an order for five children's shirts on July 20. It was weird that they asked for a mailing address, but the confirmation said the order was for pickup only. On July 27, I called the store and spoke with Nick. Nick was my point of contact and very responsive, but not proactive. During the call, Nick told me that they received the order but not the payment. Considering it was seven days later, the transaction had already posted to my credit card. I forwarded the order and the cleared credit card transaction to Nick, and he told me he would send it to his boss for verification. On July 31, I had to reach out to Nick to follow up. He confirmed that they were still waiting on the payment processor to confirm receipt. On August 3, the payment was finally confirmed, and at that moment, the shirts were ordered. No further context on the timeline of this order. On August 10, I reached back out to Nick to check the status, and he let me know that the last shirt had arrived that day. On August 11, I received an email stating the shirts were ready. I told my sister to go pick them up, and when she arrived, she was greeted by an unfriendly last who brought up the order issue. My sister didn't get a good feeling from her. Overall, the experience took longer than it should have. School started on August 17, and I ordered the shirts almost a month in advance only to receive them seven days before school started. I'm not sure if they need to work on their payment processing, order tracking, customer service, or proactive communication, but this was not a pleasant experience. Also this was a kindergartens shirt. They grow like weeds there was no time for sizing errors because of systemic delays. I ordered my daughter's complete sports uniform package in person on June 10, 2026--not online. I even went out of my way to bring my daughter with me so she could try everything on and make sure we ordered the correct sizes. Almost two months later, I found out they had completely lost the order. Not delayed it--lost the entire in-house order. This wasn't just one shirt either; it was a complete uniform package. All I really got was, "We're sorry." How does a business lose an order that was placed and paid for in person and then have no record of it for two months? Luckily, I kept my receipt. Otherwise, I'm concerned I would have had to prove I paid for it or possibly pay for everything again. This was incredibly frustrating, unprofessional, and a complete waste of time. Parents order school sports uniforms ahead of time for a reason--we expect them to be ready when our kids need them. If I had another choice, I would absolutely go somewhere else. Losing an in-person order after having nearly two months to process it is unacceptable. read more

I found Ad Special T's through Yelp and I'm sold! I ordered a swim parka for my granddaughter and took it to this shop to add her name to the back of the parka. Not only did they promise to have it done before Christmas, they did the job at such a great price!! Then when I picked it up, I have to say I was pleasantly surprised at how great it turned out! I've always had good experiences at Ad Special T's, since its days in Fairfield doing screen printing for softball and baseball teams to ordering uniform tees for my martial arts studio, my childrens' elementary school/middle school/high school uniform and spirit needs and now with ordering banners and other logo items. Don is absolutely amazing when it comes to getting things done and he is a true team player in his office. I went to visit him one day and he introduced me to the whole operation. Everyone was nice and filled with smiles. We constantly changed our orders and I was new to the youth sports board I was on and they made the workflow so easy for us. They even said let them do their job just send them how many and by the team. The team verified everything and boxed it up for us. Talk about service. I have read some reviews on here and it seems to me they are trending upwards with their customer service, but let me tell you if you ever need something just communicate that and Don or someone will get back to you! Our youth leagues would be nothing without local business willing to help us keep them looking like pro athletes in their uniforms. Oh and did I add they also will tell you the breakdown of costs and tell you for a little more you could do this or do that. Not pushy and friendly. If I could give this place zero stars, I would! The baseball organization our kids play for buy all their uniforms from them, so we have to buy them there. They printed my sons all star jersey with the name and number off centered to the right. Not terrible but its noticeable and when you pay that much money it should be done right. I mean they are professionals right?? My husband went there to see if they could make it right and all he got was bad customer service. Not only would Mike (owner?) not fix the mistake he told my husband next time they'll print it too far to the left to even it out!!! Rude!! Will never do business again. They sent us the wrong size hoodie (a youth medium that would fit a 5 year old) for our 13 year old who ordered a regular sized Medium. After a month of waiting on a replacement, they told us we would have to buy a new one. They mess up our order almost every year but normally replace the items, but not this year. read more

Consider this a public service message: If you use Special T's for your letterman jacket patch sewing, it will cost you 200% more than any other comparable business would charge. Took jacket in to have a lot of patches sewn on and was shocked when they said it'd be $178. I expressed shock and questioned how much it was, but the owner's son assured me it was the going rate. I didn't get to see a breakdown so I just assumed it was just what I was going to have to pay. Well, the guy was lying; it is NOT the going rate. Comparable businesses charge $6-$8 a patch; Special T's charged me $12 for every patch and $24 to move a patch. Highway robbery! They also made a series of errors that now need to be corrected including sewing the cross-country patch on her academic letter and her academic lamp on her athletic letter. Seriously? Don, who works there, is a sweetie, but the owner's son is incredibly rude and IMHO dishonest. When I tried to discuss the excessiveness of the charges, he made a scoffing noise. It's a shame a business has been turned over to such a kid with no sense of customer satisfaction and obvious disdain for his customer base. Other than to return the jacket so they can correct thier errors, I will never use them again and want to warn everyone else. They are shockingly overpriced! For the same work at another place in town, I'd have paid $80 rather than $178. Lesson learned, I should've researched prices before, but it NEVER occurred to me there could be such a huge disparity in pricing. ZERO STARS.........Ad Special T's SUCKS!!!!! Since in the past Quinns was no good, we decided to give this place a shot when ordering my husband's uniform. We gave an $80.00 deposit and were told it would only be around a week to get it. Two weeks later my husband called to check on it and it wasn't there yet. Finally a month later, with NO CALL, my husband went in the store to get the status. They brought out a uniform, but NOT the one he ordered. The one they brought out isn't even something he is authorized to wear. They told him the company didn't have the one he wanted so they had this one made. We NEVER received a call letting us know this or asking if we wanted something different and now they charged us for the shipping and restocking fee. They ordered the wrong item....how does this make since?! We took the $32.46 they gave us back just to be done with them! This is crooked!!!! I am calling Curtis, 5 On Your Side and filing a complaint with BBB. In the age of social media, doing a customer wrong is not good business practice.
