we brought our cat, tucchi in for an emergency visit as he'd stopped eating and drinking and was very weak. the entire team here was incredible, so kind, empathetic and good humored. we did bloodwork and they helped us decide our next course of action. our cat did two days full of liquid IVs and got some medicine and food to take home. unfortunately tucchi passed, but the team here made him comfortable and gave him a good last few days. so thank you all for what you did for us!

The techs are also sweet and very caring towards our dog. All staff has been nothing but friendly, helpful, and thorough when it comes to the health and well-being of our dog. It is easy to get an appointment here or at their other location and at Rover the Rhine, they also have weekend hours. The only downside we've run into (and hence 4 and not 5 stars) is that our dog has gotten older and to get her medication anywhere outside of their preferred (usually more pricey) pharmacy is impossible. You can get a written Rx but no online pet pharmacy will take it because it's not faxed from the office (note: you can mail it in but if the script isn't given weeks in advance you run the risk of your dog going without medication for some time). They also refuse to call in the Rx so it's slightly annoying. Thus, if you are one who likes price shopping for your pet's medications, taking your pet here for care is not an option if you choose to use their vet services. It's really unfortunate because we love going here but since we suspect our pet will need more meds as she gets older, we might have to reconsider our options.

This review is only based on their veterinary services as I haven't used any of their other…read moreservices. Overall, the experience has been very good. My pomsky puppy has had several appointments so far to get all of his puppy vaccines, neutering and microchipping. The staff has always been very kind and responsive to any questions/concerns I had. Cost of services is consistent with industry standards and they take the appropriate safety precautions such as performing bloodwork to ensure your pet is safe to undergo anesthesia. That option isn't always provided at all clinics which is very concerning. I would recommend them to others and plan to have them continue to provide excellent care to my pup in the future!

Each person here involves you in the care of your animals with such amazing transparency, candidness, and honesty. They will show you the X-rays they take in the back so that you can follow along, they provide you with multiple care options when necessary, and are never judgmental about the care you can or cannot afford. They have an incredibly clean facility and amazingly kind staff. Twice I have come to them with medical emergencies, and twice they have saved my cats' lives. I truly cannot recommend this practice enough!!

A week to the day, he was euthanized at home by a different vet. His ER report noted an injury that Ft. Mitchell never noted: he went in to Ft. The only attempt at empathy from this office was a cheap plant: I spent over $1,000 for that initial visit, and then I spent another $1,000 to put him to sleep, but all I received was a cheap plant--no phone call from a human.

I stopped by without my dog just to talk with Shirley about the situation, and she willingly offered to have me bring him in a couple of times just to meet her and become familiar before even scheduling a grooming appointment. We did this twice, and it made ALL the difference. She also recommended a great harness for him when I wanted to switch out of a collar. It's the only place I've taken him since. For the past couple of years, I've been feeding Pierre from PetWants, a mixture of the chicken, lamb, and salmon recipes. He liked it better than the typical store-bought kinds, but I brought home a small amount of each of the 4 main Barketplace recipes tonight after talking with Shirley and Jeff about it, and he not only ate the first serving in a matter of minutes, but wanted more even AFTER his teeth cleaning "dessert" treat. That has NEVER happened. And then the second serving was gone just as quickly as the first. Shirley, Jeff, and Chris are simply the best - they take care of my little guy as if her were their own, and this new food experience means it's the only place I'll go for ALL the things he needs from now on!

Of course my regular vet was closed (love them as well) cuz it was 730 in the evening, and this is one of the emergency vet services their answering machine recommends. I called ahead and told them what was going on with George and they recommended I bring him in. When we got there, they took him back within a couple of minutes. About 20 mins later, they brought him back out and let me know his vitals were "nice and stable" and that I could monitor him overnight, then take him to his regular vet today. When I asked if I should check out, they informed me there would be no charge since all they had done was triage him and check vitals. Since I was already tallying up the hundreds of dollars that would be due between his emergency vet visit and his regular vet visit, you can imagine my incredible relief at that news. Thanks to them, I was reassured that George would make it through the night until I could get him to the vet today. Definitely a positive experience and if I ever need an emergency vet in the future, I will absolutely go back to MedVet.

Later that day I got a call, they couldn't find anything wrong and to pick him up, I did. Unable to enter the building due to their plan-demic 'rules', they brought him out to me and walked away??? He was scared to death and worse off. I asked another employee what was going on.... she stated someone working there was not nice to him. He came home and hid under the bed shaking. I got him back into our vet that day, told them he still isn't eating, drinking nor pooping. They kept him overnight and gave him an enema. He had falling and bruised insides and was constipated as it turned out. We picked him up the next morning and he was himself and again, better and so glad to see us. This medvet charged me over $700. to only scare him and possibly mis-treat him. I started paying them $25.00 a month, against my better judgement and the scumbags reported me to the credit bureau...... never again.

We have a cat that is 3 and is seen at Fort Thomas Animal hospital. When we went in the staff was friendly and I asked a couples questions about their plan--- that i was already planning on purchasing. Long story short his sales mode went into overdrive. I was about to tell him that we were a sure thing when he used some type of fear based sales... if my puppy... type scenarios. In any event I hate that type of sales and I did not buy the plan. We came back one more time (purely because I forgot to call our cat's vet). It was a friendly appointment but I didn't like that if I purchased the puppy plan (I wasn't going to at this time) they wouldn't discount it with what I paid for the previous appt. I just got his 16 week shots done and they have us a bunch of free things and the appt was significantly cheaper then the appts is had at Banfield.

They didn't really give me another option. I ended up crate resting her for 6 weeks and she's back to her normal self so I'm glad I didn't jump into surgery.
