There was a line but Johnny, who I believe is the owner was quick and friendly to his other patrons. I have a cranky 2 year old and a rambunctious 5 year old but he was able to give them quick, effective short cuts. Without even going into detail, he just asked them if I wanted it short and he went straight to work. $25/each for a kids cut for less than 30 minutes is not bad. Previous barbers are afraid to go very short which makes me need to go in every 2 weeks. He went exactly the amount I was looking for and we won't be back for another 3 weeks. FYI you don't come here for the ambiance. You come for a straight shooter, great service and skills. The price is not bad either. I'll be coming back with my boys.

I used to live in East Meadow and so I frequented Rich and Famous once every week and a half/two…read moreweeks, and up until today, I was pretty satisfied with their service. I now live somewhere else, but with pretty much every barber shop I've been to lately, the barber likes to rush through the haircut/clean up and destroy my skin by not using any lubrication when shaving either my neck or beard with a straight razor. Today was one of the worst experiences I've had with that issue. The barber I had completely cut up the side of my neck to the point where I had blood dripping onto my shirt. I don't understand what makes any master barber think that it's ok to shave ANY part of anyone's body dry. It's unacceptable, and I can't say I'll be returning here ever again. It seems the only place I can get a nice haircut and beard trim is at Roosevelt Field at Art of Shaving, which is extremely expensive. You would think that when using such a dangerous tool the barber would take extra precaution to use plenty of shaving cream so as not to slice up the skin, but I guess not. I'm sorry I had to write this review because I love the guys in there, but I just couldn't hold this one back.
