SENT TO GOOLE 12/24/21…read more My physical therapist and friend of almost 10 years recently recommended that I get specialized care. He arranged for me to be seen by Dr. Ansari. Since then Sarah has been coming to my home weekly and providing extraordinary physical therapy along with an array of terrible bad jokes she's known since grade school. The combination is amazing. For this review, I'll focus on the physical therapy. Sarah is knowledgeable about an amazing array of treatment options for the problems I have had with my shoulders, wrists, knees and legs. After an comprehensive evaluation she has addressed the multiple difficulties I've been facing in a professional, compassionate fashion. There have been one or two surprises over the last year which she has handled expertly and width obvious knowledge and training. Sarah has been coming to my home on a weekly basis. This has helped me in Normas Lee as the absence of travel time has allowed me to focus on the therapy. She selects our next appointment only after consulting me about it's a convenience. She has always been on time, friendly, and courteous. I highly recommend Sarah to anyone needing physical therapy at home. You will not be able to find anyone more skilled knowledgeable or friendly.

Things that have become important to me: 1) practitioners who truly listen and seek to hear their patients; 2) practitioners who don't "over-sell," their ability to "fix you"; 3) practitioners who have a balanced approach to treatment - for me, that means not discounting conventional medicine and its role in treating certain conditions but also who offer a true compliment, and in some cases, a meaningful alternative to conventional therapies; and 4) practitioners who take a team approach to treating their patients - that is, involving you, the patient, in the process, decision-making, evaluation of the results, etc. Dr. Nina has hit it out of the park in all four areas for me, and to boot, her treatments have gotten me over a months-long plateau in my rehabilitation from chronic pain as a result of breast cancer surgeries. She is very intuitive, gentle, yet effective. I've improved immensely since starting to see Dr. Nina and would recommend her to family and friends without reservation! P.S. Everyone in her office is so. darn. nice! It's efficiently run and Julie and Kim the receptionists are kind and responsive.

In the end, none of it worked for me in the long run. Why the 5 stars you ask? Because she's great. A little quirky in the beginning, but once you meet her a few times, you learn that you can completely open up to her about anything. And homeopathy is truly fascinating. It's amazing how a psychological or emotional event can cause a blockage that has been the root of all my back, knee, and other mechanical problems all these years... I went to Kellie for homeopathy. It was a cool experience…read more She had a long interview (maybe 1.5 hours) in which she wanted to find out what I was like. The interview alone was a beneficial experience--because when else do you tell someone you've never met, who won't judge you or tell others about you all about yourself, without it being in a setting where you feel like you have to focus on problems (such as in counseling or therapy). It made me realize that therapy can be kind of depressing in contrast with just talking about who you are in general, without trying to focus on problems. Then, a few days later she mailed me the remedy she had selected, which was particular to my underlying personality and my current issues (there are 1000s of remedies to choose from, so the practitioner can be rather specific). The first time I took it, I felt an incredible sense of relief, like "Wow, I don't have to live like I've been living for the past decade (which has been a hard one for me), it's not mandatory, I can have a more enjoyable life." I was not expecting to feel anything at the time, and I have never had that sort of experience before, so I do not think it was purely an expectation effect. I've been taking the remedy for about two months, and it's been one of the best two months I've had in a while. I've noticed some very positive changes in some areas that had been problematic for me for years. Once again, I was not really expecting anything in particular from homeopathy (and the effect I was expecting did not really happen in as large a degree as I expected), so I think this is something more than just expectation effects. Regardless of what it is, I think it's been helpful and I would recommend it. Don't be turned off by the price. After the first appointment, subsequent appointments are less expensive, and you can get a year's worth of treatment for probably a lower yearly price than most other treatments (a year of therapy copays or massage would cost more, for example). Homepathy is cool - I think you should check it out!
