They don't have the AI machines that the other locations have but I never really was motivated to learn how to use them. Just seemed like a hassle when I can just get the same workout on some other machine despite it not being able to track my progress like the AI ones that they don't have. Plenty of parking. the gym is very spacious. Never really have to wait for equipment but i always got there pretty early around 5am before work so I'm not sure what its like in the afternoon or on weekends. Also everyone that works out here all seem to be very pleasant to be around. Most just keep to themselves but dont seem to be disruptive in any manner, Not many cons to speak of. I did have 1 personal trainer. I thought she was great with correcting my form but I don't think she pushed me hard enough. That's probably my only real criticism. Also I noticed doors on the lockers seem to get unhinged frequently which is kind of an eyesore. Not sure who's breaking them regularly. I'm constantly surprised how clean the place is , there is always someone cleaning the men's room or cleaning in the gym area and I really appreciate that. The place is huge and I'm never waiting for a weight station. Overall good gym clientele , some hang and talk but are not overly in the way , most are getting in a good workout bringing up the energy of the place. Good music plays , front desk is always greeting and saying goodbye. Gene runs a really tight ship here and I appreciate his management. I hope he's stays around here for a very long time. This is a gem of a gym and 100% worth every penny.

Unless of course the manager of HealthFitH turns it into "hitting butts is part of sports" and doesn't take the report seriously. Sarasota Memorial has a Zero Tolerance policy from what I have found. The liabilty to this wonderful place is in jeopardy if the protection of all members and staff is not taken, per the policy. If ever you have a serious problem at Healthfit, skip the manager and go to Security. The Security officer made it clear this was a crime of battery. Further more, if the victim of battery is over 65, by FL law this becomes a felony. Update: I just found out another member of Healthfit was hit by the same member. She too was angry and desires safety.

I dated different gyms and classes. And I then I finally found it a couple years ago, at Mantra. Upon entering, you feel good vibes, no judgment and are surrounded by people all connected with the passion in this workout. It's contagious. (Good contagious.) I even attended Mantra throughout almost my entire last pregnancy and not once did I feel frustrated or embarrassed. I actually felt celebrated. And they helped me adapt my workout as my body changed. And I felt strong for myself and my babe. Mantra is helping me shape my body the way I want it. And it's hard. It's a real workout. The shake is real. But it's so good too.

Not only did his work stand out, but there were many more instances throughout the course of the two hours that I was there that made me understand that this would be the ideal gym to go to if I lived in the area. All of the employees were upbeat and very polite. If anyone is looking for a gym to start up at in the Sarasota area, I strongly recommend this LA Fitness!

Huge complaint! My husband and I have been coming to this location for over 5 yrs. maybe 3-4 times…read morea week and this isn't the first time I caught employee, TIM staring at me from a distance and making faces at the way I work out, walking away, shaking his head and then watched him go to the front desk and laughing about it with another employee, Hunter. When I went back to tell my husband, he told me he just pulled the same thing on him, staring at him, making faces basically didnt like the way he works out and shaking his head. I went over, confronted him. He was nothing but arrogant. Told me I didn't know what I was talking about. He then told me that I didn't know what I was doing and neither does my husband. There was more I could say about our conversation, but I will save that for my call to the corporate office. I will tell you this guy doesn't belong working there!! This guy TIM is an old man bulked up with a fake tan who shouldn't be criticizing the way other people work out. This is predominantly an older clientele gym and not a Hard core muscle gym. A few weeks prior to today he actually walked up to my husband and straight out told him, "don't you know what you're doing?" he did the same to me a few weeks prior as well. I was on a machine had to take the earbuds out and he said, "don't you know how to use this machine?" I told him I know how to use this machine. He then gave me an attitude and walked away. I don't need to go to the gym to be made felt uncomfortable and neither does my husband. We both have medical conditions and we don't work out aggressively and work out at own pace. We don't need anyone staring us down, criticizing the way we work out. What he said to me that I will be relaying to corporate should be enough to get rid of this guy. I hope I never see this TIM's face again.
