I didn't buy any at the time but I took a picture of the bags as a reminder. On Wednesday, before new years, I went into their store and was instantly greated by amazing smelling coffee grounds. They have such a large array of different types and the owners were amazingly friendly! They didn't happen to have the kind I wanted ready in full sized bags as they were currently roasting it, but they did have it in "sample" sizes. Their samples are absolutely huge btw. I bought their 6 pack sample special and picked out 6 different types. They were great at helping me pick out the right ones for me and threw in an extra bag. They had amazing coffee accessories in hither shop with their awesome art on them! I live their French press drinking mug!! I MUST get it next time I go! Lol I had to run soo many errands afterward and the coffee grounds made my car smell fantastic! When I got home, I immediately opened the box to find a cute card and two chocolates!! I brewed the Drink from the skull of your enemies coffee and OMG. Best coffee ever! My husband even commented several times on how fantastic the coffee was! I just brewed the last of my first sample bag today! One sample made 4bor 5 pots of coffee (cant remember exactly lol) it's amazing and worth every penny, if not more. Their coffee alone is enough to make me a forever customer and to spread word of their amazing grounds but their customer service, friendliness and absolute amazing personability were above and beyond. 10/10, highly recommend this coffee to anyone and everyone with taste buds!

After a 3 hour drive, it was the perfect place to recharge before getting back on the road. It's what a coffee shop should be. Warm and cozy environment. The staff is very friendly. I had an iced honeybee latte and lemon lavender scone. Both very good. A nice balanced coffee beverage - good flavor and not too sweet. If you have time take the short walk to Riverside Park. Great view of the Maumee River. Lots of comfortable places to sit.

They roast their own coffee beans and have them on display for purchase just under the cash register. Most of the bags I looked at, beans had been roasted in the last week so they are fresh! I love that they make their syrups in house to give the coffee better flavor. I originally wanted a Lavender latte but they were out of the syrup. I pivoted to the Salted Caramel Latte. The beans had a good medium roast flavor to them, syrup flavor was subtle but present, but my drink could have been hotter. My husband got a Masala Chai Latte. We noticed his drink was made from a chai concentrate bought; it overall was ok. I recommend staff labeling drink cups going forward as they couldn't remember which was which after placing on the counter. Either way, this was a great coffee shop stop and offers some great seasonal options.

My wife got the banana cream cold brew and she liked it. The cold foam was super thick and a little artificial tasting, but good enough. You find so much the same, seemingly caught in time, and other things have greatly changed. Goldberry is one of those "new to me" additions to Ashland, and every time I walk through its doors, I find myself grateful that it is a part of this town's growth and change. Brightly lit, warmly modern, with touches of wood, crisp white, and greenery, the shop holds ample space to gather together with friends or sit comfortably by oneself, sipping an espresso, cortado, or dirty chai with almond milk (my personal choice today) while people-watching or reading a book. Tall windows line the front of the building, looking out upon a bustling parking lot and side-street as multiple baristas efficiently work away behind the bar. Fresh donuts were being sold at a stand as I entered, along with bagged beans and a variety of other bottled/canned beverages. People sat outside, in groups around larger tables, or in more relaxed leather chairs, animatedly caught up in conversation. Goldberry feels like a true 'third place' in Ashland - not your home, not your workplace, but that third place where you go to meet friends, begin your day, or center yourself before stepping out into the world. It's fittingly named in that light, given that Goldberry is the warmly welcoming, hospitable, and wise woman in JRR Tolkien's work who offers comfort and guidance to questing hobbits, the beautiful and mysterious 'river-woman's daughter' who married the enigmatic Tom Bombadil, a man whose magic was older than time. This coffee shop is all of those things: welcoming, warm, bright, and more than a little magical, glowing like a water-washed jewel - or fairly-sourced coffee bean - in the midst of this ever-changing tiny mid-Ohio town. I'll be back.
