Very sad to have to write this review but this is the 3rd time this has happened. I went in for a mani pedi and I ended up with sore and almost infected Toes. I had redness and tenderness to my toes for weeks because they had cut my toenail too deep and most likely used tools that were not sanitized. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and went in again but made sure to ask them not to cut too deep this time. Well they did it anyway. I also took my daughter with me and she ended up with the same problem on both her toes! I'm having to clean them up with alcohol several times a day just to make sure she doesn't get an infection. I will have to find a more sanitary nail salon in Palmdale because I'm too scared to get an infection from this place. Anyone else have a similar experience? read more

So I found another nail salon in Canyon country... They as well did a great job... But I thought let me try something even closer... And stumbled across this salon. I've had my nails done here several times. Very inconsistent results. Twice they looked perfect, twice less so. But even worse - I got nail fungus. The first nail may not have been their fault: I am hard on my hands doing physical work and often in water, so I thought it was possible it was something I had done. I have never had it happen before. But when the tech saw the fungus she tried to hide it until I asked if it was okay to put acrylic over it. She said yes. Of course when I looked when I got home it is NOT recommended. When I went back another nail had caught it. The tech did not adjust her technique at all, using the same tools on all my nails and throwing the tips back into the container without even washing them, much less sterilizing them. Now several more nails have it. I will NOT be going back, and I will be checking every salon for their cleanliness in the future. I cannot recommend this place at all. read more

I've been here 3 times. The first 2 times were OK - nothing spectacular. Three weeks ago, my friend & I had made an appointment for 2 pedicures today. We arrived at our scheduled time and the guy who owns the place acted like we didn't have an appointment. He finally said that we did have an appointment. He did put us in 2 chairs but there were 3 other customers and only 2 technicians working. After 20 minutes of sitting in the pedicure chair, my friend asked if they could run water in the tub so we could soak our feet. They ran the water in her tub, but not my tub. 30 minutes after our scheduled appointment, one of the technicians started working on my friend. A full hour after our scheduled appointment time, a technician started to run the water in my tub. I told her not to bother as I wouldn't be getting a pedicure after waiting an hour after my scheduled appointment. The shop was also filled with small gnats that were swarming around my friend's feet and our faces. No apology from the owner or anything. I won't be back. There are too many shops that know how to make and keep appointments. read more

Meh. Polish was old and goopy. Man acted bothered, and I felt like I was "in trouble" with my mom. I don't live here. Was looking for a place just off my commute to get a manicure. At least I have new polished nails, but it was not a pleasant, pampered experience. Most definitely they should take "spa" out of the business name Also-- they have CNN on the tv, which is stressful in light of the Ukraine attacks.... And .... Well ... in general. First time here, a couple weeks ago, had pedi and full set.... only one person can do nails I guess... the guy (never told me his name even after I asked) wasn't very friendly, but did a decent job, I was happy with results. Gave him $10 tip. Fast forward to time for fill. Made appointment, Kevin had to start on removing the gel because the guy was finishing up a pedicure, no big deal, and the pace picked up when he started to finish what Kevin started.Too fast. Had to yank my hands away several times from the burns he was giving me. I was really wishing they had more than the one tech. Acrylic applied too thick at cuticles and too thin at tips, so nails don't look natural at all. Then he asks what shape, I say square/round, have worn them that way forever. He makes them round. I say no no, square round please! He just looks at me like I'm from outer space. First time he made them square round, no problem. Anyway I just said square them off a little please. He makes them rounder. Ok whatever. At this point I already knew I wouldn't go back. He puts thin coats of polish, can still see through the color. I asked for another coat, he just puts clear on. Once I got home I noticed a couple of my nails are so crooked they look like they're making turns. Don't know what I did to piss this guy off, I'd taken a shower, so I know I didn't stink, I had barely said a word to him, no chit chat, doesn't seem the chatty type. But definitely will not go back, which apparently was the plan of the nail guy. read more

I've come here a few times and usually am pretty pleased with the services. This last time though wasn't so good. I spent about $100 between a mani and pedi. The pedi was okay, and the paint job was not. We are attending a wedding so I was hoping for a little cleaner of a job paint wise. When my nail technician was doing my gel manicure he forgot to put a top coat on my left hand. I asked him if he put one on because it felt extremely sticky & not as clean and shiny as my right hand. He then had a really bad attitude and was pissed off that I asked. He pulled my hand in and quickly put the top coat on and told me to go wash my hands after being under the light and walked away without saying anything. With his attitude and not so good paint job, I'm not sure I'll come back. read more

WORTH THE READ I was pleasantly surprised on how my nails came out!!! I had called on a Wednesday and asked if Ven was available and they said yes but I didn't verify the time I would go in due to my schedule so when I decided to go in, there was only one tech working and they did not have time for me so I made an appt for the following day.. only thing that annoyed me because they have a walk ins welcome sign(that's what the minus 1 star is for so make sure you make an appt even just a day before you plan on going in ). But going the next day definitely made up for it! I got a dip powder set in clear with short extension and gel polish on top ($50) and the entire time I couldn't decide what gel color I wanted to apply but Ven was sooooooo beyond patient with me, she brought me at least 10 diff shades of nude because it's pretty critical if i get the wrong nude on my tan skin lol anyway she was super sweet and did such a great job! I cannot believe how patient and Understanding she was! She made the other male nail tech seem pretty mean!!! Since he didn't even turn around to assist me when I walked in. I know this is a first world problem, but you may not want to go here if you want your time respected. I called at 1230 PM and they gave me and my wife a 530 PM appointment for pedicure together. There were 2 people already there at 530 PM (our appointment time). It's OK to run a bit late, but read the rest of this review . They started my wife's pedicure at 6PM. The other pedicurist was still working on one of the other people at 620PM and still when we left. When the lady rushed through my wifes pedicure. She then wanted to start mine at 620PM. 50 minutes late. I knew it would be rushed and we were out of time, so I just said we were leaving. We scheduled an appointment for a reason so we could get to our plans. Acton Nails, you shouldn't double schedule like this. It is perfectly OK to call me and say that they can't fit us in. Stuff happens. I will take out business somewhere else. read more

Got my nails done almost three weeks ago and no fading or chipping and still very glossy. I hear a lot of complaints about the cheap polishes that they use but that's not the problem. It's all the harsh chemicals that we use to clean our homes that are eating away at our hands. I use all plants based products and the proof is in my nails. Next time you're beautiful freshly done nails are chipping away please take a look at what your use to wash your hands or dishes or anything you're putting on your body. If it's damaging your nail polish, it's damaging your skin. I hope this helps so you could enjoy your manicure longer and get your moneys worth :) read more

Have gone twice to make sure that the two gentlemen that work there weren't as rude as they seem but the old man is a total jerk. If you want a lame job done by a rude old man this is the place. What a joke, but it totally makes sense that it was a Saturday morning and I was the only customer. If you also like when people speak about you in a foreign language and laugh all the while staring at you this is also the place for that. I figured spending $180 in Services and $40 in tips would be enough to be treated with kindness the next time I came to their establishment but apparently their business doesn't thrive off customer service. This place SUCKS and isn't worth any amount of money. They could do the work for free and it wouldn't be worth it. What a shame.....lame, lame, lame. I was visiting from out of town and wanted a manicure on a relaxing weekend. My nail tech started working on my gel removal before going to do a pedicure on someone else. I was left for 45 minutes with acetone on my fingers to remove my gel, once it started to burn I asked if I could remove it. The woman on staff said yes and once my nail tech came back he yelled "no" at me, I told him she (pointing over to the woman) said I could, it was burning me. He acted annoyed the rest of the time and proceeded to give me a UV gel manicure after asking for a DIP. He did not touch my cuticles, clean up the edges of the polish, or even use any lotion. At this point I didn't feel comfortable speaking up about anything and just wanted to leave. The attitudes toward your customers is very unprofessional and noticed by others in the salon. read more

They just keep raising their prices and the service is getting worse. They do not accept credit cards only cash now. It's not worth the inconvience. I've had my nails done 3 times since they reopened post covid and it's a different price everytime. Asked for number 2 and the lady next to me had the same pedi. I asked her since I was wondering how she was getting such a longer pedi than me and they started her like 15 mins before me and I am done and she is just starting her leg massage. I won't be back. I had to ask for my toe nails to be straightly cut and areas on my feet taken care of. SCV is close enough to drive to to receive a good pedi. What you pay for the polish is horrible applied I tried to explain this but they couldn't understand what I was saying. read more

Very unhappy with my last pedicare at this Spa. I have been a regular customer for at least 7 visits and this last one was AWFUL. I told the operator that I had a very serious leg injury and when he was doing the scraping of my foot bottom I asked him to go slowly and he said he had do it his way. I was crying and he hurt my very badly. 3 of the patrons who were also in the salon came up to me in the parking lot and said they would testify for me if I chose to file a complaint with the Board. I have never had to experience anything like this. I will NEVER step foot in this Salon again. I saw my Orthopedic Surgeon the next day he said this trama to my leg from this experience has cause severe swelling and set me back many weeks. Not a happy customer and I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT AGAIN IN THIS ESTABLISHMENT nor will I recommend their services to my may Acton friends. read more

So I have gone here 2 times, the first time I had a guy that was doing my nails, we was very good, took his time did nice polish and I went home thinking great place! My second visit however was so bad I will never go back. I called ahead to make sure they had time and was told yes come in. From the moment I waked in the door a was rushed, fine I can accept being rushed. I asked the older lady that was doing my nails if she did any designs for Easter, she said no. She tried to sell me everything they had on the list and was very pushy about it. After we finalized that I just wanted a pedicure she quickly filed a few of my nails and was done. I said aren't you going to cut them? She said no it doesn't need. I finally talked her into cutting them, they were growing above my toe and to me that is to long. So now came the color. I picked a lavender pink from the painted nail swatches they have you choose from. She put the color on my big toe and I immediately stopped her and said that it was way to bright (more hot pink than lavender pink). The lady threw a fit shouted at me that I need to pick a color that she didn't have time for this when I was the one being rushed and the only person in the salon. I said that's ok don't do the color, I really couldn't take anymore of her rudeness. I walked to the front and said I'm not going to do a color how much do I owe. Whom I assume is the owner said 30.00. I couldn't believe it. I had been there maybe 15 mins and they wanted to charge full price!!!! The older lady was shouting thru the salon to the man in the front that she would do clear polish so they can charge 30. I said no thank you and ended up paying 21.00 for this non-pedicure. I absolutely will not go back here. Horrible being treated this way. read more

Got a gel manicure and pedicure. They used a dremmel on my natural nails really rough and my nails are now paper thin and painful.Also, I have to say this place is filthy. I know it's Acton, but the fly situation in there in mid December was ridiculous. Bugs. Floor dirty. I also did not see one nail tech or cosmetology license anywhere (state board regulation requires posting of license in workspace) no disinfectant out. If this place hasn't caused a staph infection yet it will soon. Surprise this has stayed open in the absolutely gross condition it is in.
