I love this place, personally I always make an appointment with my nail lady beforehand because they do get busy with walk-ins. The only person that I request when making a appointment is Anne, and she's great at pedicures and gel-manicures. She's very gentle while providing the service and she's super sweet, I love her. Just a heads up, when I do make a appointment with Anne and arrive at the nail shop she still could be finishing up her last appointment but just be patient. I also greet her once I get there so she doesn't forget about me. If you go here make sure to make an appointment with her! Also the prices are affordable and they are clean as well. Last thing, when I do enter the shop, I always greet to the nearest employee and I let them know I have a appointment with Anne at whatever time, because they can get very busy. read more

I was able to get an appointment with Number One Nails the same day which was great. The experience was everything and more you would expect for a nail salon. They are friendly, efficient and prices are reasonable. We both got a spa pedicure, I even upgraded for a stone massage which was amazing. I am extremely lost. I wanted to take my daughter out for a nail appointment and we scheduled an appointment for 5pm. When we arrived they gave our appointment away and asked if we could do 6pm instead. We arrived at 4:54pm. They are clearly just trying to make money and not loyal to there clientele. Customer service was great here. Very friendly and nice staff. I wasn't happy with my gel manicure though. There was a mis-communication on what I wanted and it had to be re-done and I think it was rushed so the end result looked a little sloppy. They didn't have jelly nails, couldn't do tortoise style, and the colored powered looked very tacky. I ended up scrapping my intial desired style and just making something up on the spot. The nail tech was extremely rough, especially while filling. It felt as if my nails were pulling away from the bedding. It was more than obvious that she was being too rough, but she continued even after i said that it hurt. I understand that i am very picky so i try to be understanding, but the work was just okay, average. I know that almond or pointed is a hard shape, but the shape was very uneven, misshapen and sloppy. Left hand turned out ok but right hand was not.I ended up filling them myself when I got home. My fingers are very sore and feel lifted from the bed. Most likely won't be retuning ever again. read more

I didn't have a lot of time to spare, and my usual nail salon was packed, so I decided to try Number 1 Nail. The lady filed my already existing acrylics down and then did not even them out when she filled them. Which resulted in chipping and uneven nails. I was not happy with my color choice, and told her after the first coat. She reassured me that I will like it once it is done. I did not. I was not pleased. On top of all that, she never filed the edges of my nails or removed the acrylic which had gotten underneath them. The very first day after getting my nails done the polish (and acrylic) chipped on numerous nails. End result- uneven, chipped, sharp edged nails. With a color I don't like. Moral of the story- stick with your usual nail place. Or if you decide to try someplace new--- pick somewhere else. read more

Had a gift certificate so tried this place. Walked in at 11 on a Friday morning, asked to come back at noon. Came back at noon, wasn't seated until 12:30. My daughter's child mani/pedi was started at 12:45. Mine was then started at 1pm. Basic mani/pedi finished at 2pm. Woman also nicked me with the callous scraper. She had no clue she nicked me. I've been nicked before at nail salons but they always notice. Also, another customer walked in at noon, they were asked to return at 3pm. Another customer walked in at 1pm and they were asked to return at 5pm. So the sign says "walk-ins welcome" but they are really not. Only 3 spa chairs here so don't come here with friends and don't fome without an appointment. I would have left if it weren't for the gift certificate I had. Super cheap affordable prices, but ultimately not worth it when basic service took technically 3 hours. read more

This is my regular nail salon. I've been getting acrylics for the past 16 years and been from place to place as I moved and businesses changed hands. This little shop is sanitary inexpensive and the manicurists do a good job on your nails. No thick huge nails but nice thin ones. I recommend pampering yourself once in a while with a paraffin wax treatment on your feet. Really softens them up over the hot summers out here. Call and make an appointment if you don't want to wait though. read more

Horrible experience I waited over an hour to get my nails done and when they finally did them I got a crappy job done .. My nails are sensitive from bring filed to much .. The lady was fast but a little rough when she would stick her nail under the side of my nail to loosen my skin and glue on my skin .. It hurt ! I don't have one nail that looks like the other.. I hardly ever actually review places, just never fe around to it or feel like it, HOWEVER, reading some of the reviews on here I just had to. I've literally been coming to number 1 nail since I was 6 years old(1996) with my mother, when Kim was still around too (RIP). They have always been wonderful. Elaine spoils me and always has since I was a kid. Majority of the nail art they do is by hand and custom, and the things they lack (jelly nails? TORTOISE?! Seriously?) they make up for with kindness and talent. And for people saying they were kept waiting for 30 min( at a NAIL SALON), I guarantee they told you the wait time. Plus, at least they even took you as a walk in and that busy. You came here because you're nail salon wouldn't because they felt they were too busy, these lovely people, who don't even know you, still took you in despite having plenty to do already. Basically, if you aren't a spoiled, entitled, self centered snob...and you want to go somewhere with GREAT people that are very kind and do amazing work that will work with you to try and achieve WHATEVER you're looking for, then this is the place. My acrylics never ever break or come off and I've had them with no fill for literally months. They do amazing pedicures that make your feet feel incredible AND everything is done for such an incredible price. My loyalty has earned me after hours appointments when I can't get there in time and she even did my manicure after leaving my purse at home 20 miles away (yes, I go out of my way to come here) letting me pay her the next time I was 'in town'. Please SAVE your toes time and money!!! This was my FIRST and definitely my LAST TIME... My usual spot was super busy and since they were near by I figured I'd give them a try, totally bad decision on my part. First off way too expensive I paid $80 for a full set nothing fancy and a pedi. For starters she cut a huge chunk off the side of my big toe, I've always had a high tolerance to pain but omg did it hurt!!!! I screamed at the top of my lungs and when I say the hole nail shop turned around boy did they, my hole visit while I was there it didn't stop bleeding. Im glad I didn't get an infection " if you ever walk in this place you'll understand." Second I she robbed my and didn't even give me my massage she literally no joke with the back of her fist slapped the bottom of my foot once and on top of that cut my one of my big toes nails crooked and left one short then the other. Now my nails ugh!!! I literally got home and just took them, my hands looked deformed since all my nails were crooked ‍ I don't understand how they're still in business. I'm normally not the type to write a negative review but my hope is to help someone else not waste there money. read more

I had gone in a while ago to get my nails done. First off, my mom and I would always come to this nail salon since we moved here because it is close to our house. The staff would be friendly, that is, until the very last time I came in. So, I walked in by myself to get a full set and as soon as I walked in, the manicurist kicked me out. I was so confused that I turned around to see if she was talking to someone else behind me, but no she was talking to me. In her words she said, "not now! Not now!" while pointing to the door for me to leave. All I said was umm okay? So then she asked me what I needed as I was walking out the door and I said I needed a full set and she just said not now to me again. What was the point of her asking me if she wasn't going to attend me regardless? I was so embarrassed because something like this has never happened to me before. I felt humiliated in front of the customers that were in there because they all stared at me while she was kicking me out. I would think that they'd be professional enough to kindly say something like we can't take you in at this time or sorry we're full at the moment, but they didn't. The lady that kicked me out has glasses and usually a ponytail with a colored hair tie. After this incident I swore I would never walk in here again. And I haven't stepped foot in this unprofessional nail salon ever since. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. From the moment I walked in, I was unimpressed with the staff and lack of communication, but I figured that I'd give it a try based on the other 2 existing reviews. I opted for the "Pamper Me" pedicure-a $7 upgrade from the standard spa pedicure. It was anything but pampering. She barely filed my nails and there was no massage, just a slathering of some warm lotion post "sugar scrub." But, beyond that, she cut in to my toenail with the cuticle cutter. She knew that something had gone wrong and asked if I was OK. At the time, I was. However, now, 3 days later, there is a large crack down the center of my toenail that then veers to the side. It has been bleeding ALL day, is painful, and will result in loss of 25% of my toenail. I went back in today and asked for a manager. The same two women were working and said "No manager, sorry." Then, the woman who had not done my pedicure came to see what was happening. When I explained everything to her, she just denied that this could be associated with the pedicure telling my "You must have hit your toe REALLY hard on something to get a crack like that. You need to be more careful." Ummmm....I think I'd remember if I'd hit my toe THAT hard. There was no use in debating the point. This place is a disgrace. read more
