My friend and I did the wine and art tour. Sorel provided a wonderful experience. He picked us up in a very comfortable SUV and our first stop was the di Rosa Center for Contemporary Art. We had a wonderful tour of the various galleries. The only complaint, we needed more time to explore, but now we have a reason to come back. We then had a leisurely lunch at the Red Grape, which was lovely. We ended the day with a wine tasting at Imagery Winery. We thoroughly enjoyed the wine tasting and capped it off with a viewing of the art gallery on property. We couldn't have asked for a better day and can't wait to curate a trip for next year. Fun and informative wine tour with a very knowledgeable guide! What a lovely way to get to know Glen Ellen and its history and vineyards!

Like hiking? How about wine? Then Active Wine Adventures is what you're looking for. This last weekend, my husband and I opted for the easy hike which lasted about an hour and forty five minutes. It followed along a charming creek and Sorel was a great guide, stopping for breaks, tidbits of knowledge and photos. After, he dropped us off for lunch at a beautiful restaurant, Brasswood, which had great food and even an art gallery in the back. Finally, Sorel took us to an organic winery (almost reading my mind!) which was amazing. The location was scenic and the wine was incredible. So much so, I came away with a few bottles (rare for me), but with almost all of the proceeds going to charity, it was another reason to buy more delicious wine. Overall, Sorel was a personal guide with excellent taste. As a couple who travel to Napa about once a year, this was a wonderful way to experience a different side of Napa. read more

Booked the art & wine tour with Active Wine Adventures for my birthday celebration with my boyfriend and we had an amazing time! Loved that it was a private tour and Sorel really made it feel like a VIP experience. The car was very clean and he had safety shields up and sanitizer after every stop. We went to 2 beautiful wine tastings and had a really yummy lunch. It was hassle free because he set up everything for us and sent over the itinerary before our tour so we knew what was going on! We even had a little bit of extra time, during which he took us through Yountville to see some of their art walk. It was also a nice touch that he took photos of us during our tour and emailed them to me after. I highly recommend booking one of his tours if you're looking for an upscale experience in Napa for a reasonable price. I will be booking one of his other tours in the future! read more

My husband and I wanted to do something a little different with our winery trip, so we decided to stay in Sonoma (instead of Napa), and look for ways to incorporate fitness into our getaway. I found Active Wine Adventures, and was thrilled! Sorel picked us up from our hotel, and took us on a history hike at Jack London State Historic Park. After that we went to a nice lunch, and a great little winery. The hike wasn't too strenuous, and Sorel had some great info about Jack London and his history in the area. We had such a great time on this hike up into the hills above Napa... a place we may have never fun into on our own. We had wanted to do a strenuous hike that day - which Active Wine Adventures offers - but temps were soaring toward 100 at the end of our morning hike, so we dialed it back a bit. Sorel was conscious of the heat and its effects on us and we had a beautiful stroll through the woods up to Lake Marie with sightings of turkeys, deer and even a skunk along the route! Afterward, Sorel dropped us off at Laird Family Estate where we got a head start on our wine tasting while he picked up our lunch from a nearby restaurant. It was perfect, even with the ridiculous heat! Sorel is an even-keeled, friendly, knowledgeable host who took care of us well. We had a fantastic 6.5 mile ultra hike which we did with just the right amount of effort and it felt good to be active after an over abundance of food and wine the previous days of our trip.
