The worst tire service ever. I had an appointment for 11 a.m. to change my tires, but for some reason, they didn't start working until 2 p.m. During this time, no one informed me of the longer wait, and I was left waiting in the store for 3 hours until I saw an employee casually come in with two cups of coffee, which is when I realized that no one was actually working. When I asked the front desk staff, they seemed unwilling to help and told me to wait for the manager to come back. The manager had even told me before they started that it would only take 1.5 hours. I don't understand why they would lie about such a thing. They can't even handle such simple time management and basic respect for customers. It's hard to believe that this shop would properly maintain customers' cars. read more

If you want to get RIPPED OFF BLIND, then I highly recommend you go to Active Green & Ross at 580 Evans Ave, Etobicoke location. My son had an appointment scheduled at the Dundas location for a Safety Standards Certificate. Unfortunately, the individual was off sick and he was sent to this location. When my son called me to inform me that he was at this location and what he was told needed to be done, I immediately requested a copy of the work order so that I could confirm with our regular mechanic what they said needed to be done which Tiziano emailed me. I asked him to let me look it over and that I would call him back shortly. I called our regular mechanic who knows the car (should have just went to him but it was just a Safety and they are close) and when I told him about the quote, he laughed and said don't do it, he's ripping you off! I called back 5 minutes later to say I could not afford the outrageous price and he told me it was "too late" because the car was already on the hoist. Why didn't he tell me it was being worked on when I requested the work order and said I would look it over and call him back? When I insisted to not proceed because I could not afford to pay that amount, he hung up on me. THANKS FOR HANGING UP ON ME TIZIANO! GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Let me just say this much, a 2 year old vehicle with 47K needed 4 new rotors???!!! My regular mechanic confirmed they were absolutely not needed and everyone I spoke with agreed he was RIPPED OFF BLIND!! NEVER AGAIN!! I gave it a one star because that is the lowest I can give. I've never had anything but great experiences here, and frankly, at any active I've been to! They have nice, clean, comfortable waiting areas, lots if seating, magazinesm newspapers, tv with cable and and remote water, team coffee, hot chocolate, all FREE....! I desperately needed to get my winter tires off end of April/early May, cause it got warm all at once! I was gonna have to wait a week for an appointment at 6 places that I called or visited. Because it been there before, they took me, even though they did not ACTUALLY have any appointments available! Great, friendly staff as well. Highly recommend. My complaint is that they won't price match oil changes with other nearby active stores. So I don't go often. Too bad! read more

Came here for the first time to get my brake pads/rotors replaced, I figured that since they had to take the tires off to do the brakes they could easily put my summer tires on, however I was still charged $40+ dollars to have the tires changed. I could've changed the tires in my driveway for free! Now 6 months later I'm at the dealer to switch my tires over and they are telling me that the brakes were put in backwards? If you're going to charge me and arm and a leg, could you at least do the job right? read more

These guys are brutal. I brought my car in for an oil change and they told me my brakes needed to be replaced. They told me the pads were so thin that I had to do it right away. I decided not to do it because it seemed fishy and after taking my car to a mechanic he showed me that the brake pads were still at 50% life. I will never under any circumstances bring my car back here. read more

Set up an appointment to have my winter tires put on for 11:00 a week earlier, it was after 12:00 that I returned to see that my car had not been moved. When I asked as to when it would be started I was told that they were running a Little behind and that the car would get in today. When I asked for a rough estimate of the time I was told 2:00 or 3:00. That is 3-4 hours with a booked appointment. Seriously, that is what you call running a little behind? Never encountered this with any other Active green and Ross, what's the point of booking an appointment. read more

I made an appointment for an oil change and they told me it would take 45 minutes. It took them 2 hours to complete the oil change. I would have gone elsewhere if I'd known it would take that long. Disappointed with the service here. read more

Came back right before they closed. The car was where I left it. Nothing had been done. The guys told me they were busy. Had tires installed there . On the highway the truck bounced all over the place. Took it back and they told me I must have removed them an rebalanced them somewhere else. Never happened. They told me my alignment was way off so I took it to the dealer and it was perfect. They told my wife her battery was worn out three years ago but it still starts also they showed her the cabin filter filthy . She brought the vehicle home I removed it and it was fine. I have taken my car here for an oil change twice now. They seem to do a good job. They have always tried to sell me service that I feel I do not need (I do as much maintenance on my car myself, but i feel that for the price, taking my car to get an oil change makes sense). I appreciate this location, I'm not sure about the prices... For me car repairs is a bit of a BLACK HOLE; they could tell me it's $400 or $800, I don't know!? I can walk to this location, I love that. MAJOR DOWNSIDE; they are leaving... We apparently need to make room for a few more CONDOS, the city doesn't have enough of those.. There is talk of a new active in the lower part of the new buildings, who knows.... Probably a year or less left on this location. read more

I've been going here for 2 years now, always great service. Location is perfect. Reception area is great!

Changed winter tires there. Nice and clean customer reception area. Professional order taking. Ugly, disgusting way of treating customer property - car returned with a big dirty oily smudge on the driver seat and smaller stains on armrests. A front desk employee tried to wipe it off with a piece of cloth and some de-grease spray, but to no avail since the dirt is already inside the fabric. When I went fuming about the damage, both front-desk employees who were out there with me, seemed to be unhappy of my outburst which is understandable, but I never heard any apology, as if nothing serious had happened. Bottom line: neglect, disrespect, lack of culture. Don't forget to bring a spare driver seat if you ever plan to get your car serviced at that place. read more

Extra long waiting for snow tires to find out one tie rod end was gone. Only to find out the Tech driving vehicle out of shop was unlicensed driver in my car!!!! Took vehicle to two other garage. No bad tie rod found. Never again. Stay away!!! read more

wow this location is fantastic staff is very nice to deal with not pushy. they explain everything to you about your car. also they bring you to visit the car and show you what they are taking about as well. and if work or service is required they give very good deals with premium parts. i purchased mt tires here and there where cheaper than everyone else. read more

I made an appointment earlier in the day to bring my car in due to a nail in my tire. When i got there they took my car in right away and it was fixed in a reasonable amount of time. the price was good too. i would definitely bring my car back here if it ever happened again. i also liked that they are open until 8pm on thursdays since i work downtown and live near this place i needed the extra time after 5pm to get there. read more
