My therapist, Henry, was really communicative and wasted no time helping me with the specific issues that needed to be addressed! I felt relief immediately after the session and the following day. I've since been feeling better physically than I have in a long time, both while practicing yoga and at my job performing onstage. read more

The session was fantastic, the staff is so friendly and helpful and I am looking forward to coming back!

Siara is a craftsperson, for sure! After my few sessions with her recently, I did not have to go for any subsequent massage for more than three months!! This has been, hands down, the best-ever treatment I could get. After yesterday's massage-session my finger no longer seems to exhibit those freezing bouts early in the morning, just too good, I almost forgot I had this problem!!! I think the intensity of the massages comes down to the fact that this is a SPORTS massage center, and it is not one of those other kinds of massages. It is high-value, no doubt, but you get what you pay for. I will continue visiting for maintenance-based sessions on a regular basis. Thank you so much, Siara! read more

a welcoming environment with the best patient care. It was my first time there and I will definitely be visiting again in a couple weeks because of the new intern Teresita. She was polite, thorough, & very professional in treatment. I look forward to my next appointment of getting these running legs back to feeling fresh!! read more

Awesome, I'm just 25 and have aches and pains all over from sports and over training. Deep tissues are making me feel like I can push my body like I used to, can't wait to progress and see final results. read more

Active Bodywork had a booth at a recent running event I attended. I had been struggling with a ridiculously tight IT band for weeks and thought any treatment, despite the quality would help, so I ventured over. Natasha was there and went to work, and WOW! She was absolutely amazing, she went right to the spot and in just the short time I was on the table made a huge difference in the way by body moved and felt. I will be going back to her for sure! read more

First time ever going something like this. I do several of sports and intensive workouts. I have been having some lower back pain recently and tried to take care of it on my own. Unfortunately it agitated it. They were super helpful in explaining the mechanics of the body and sometimes it may seem to us that because it hurts in a specific area, that's where it should be concentrated, in this case it wasn't that. Having lower back pain came with an intense deep massage in the hips, gluted, thighs, and lower back. I am very happy and satisfied with the services. I feel great! read more

Sandra has helped me tremendously. I was having shoulder issues and unable to lift overhead. After 4 sessions with her I am feeling great. Definitely recommend. read more

Even massage therapists need therapists. And the kind of bodywork I need does not come with slippery lavender creams and oily feet. Instead, it comes with outer worldly, freakishly powerful Todd thumbs, elbows and forearms. It comes with swearing, and some tears, but in the end, I get relief and can get on with my life and my own work. I have no patience for relaxation massages - I need WORK done. If you use and abuse your muscles, if you are an athlete, and you require specific, intensive, and effective bodywork, then TODD is the man for you. read more

I've been an endurance athlete competing at the elite level for over 10 years, as a cyclist and competitive runner. Two years ago, while living in Sacramento, I came down with an IT-Band injury. I was working at Fleet Feet Sports Sacramento at the time, and when I asked my co-workers if they had a good recommendation for a sports massage therapist they quickly turned me to Todd. After a few sessions, Todd managed to help get me back out to training at 100%. I continued to see Todd every Wednesday morning for over a year. His knowledge of deep tissue massage and Active Release Therapy is second to none. I've been to dozens of sports massage therapists over the years, and Todd is hands down the best, most elite therapist I've been to. Unlike most massage therapists, Todd seeks out the root of the issue and tends to it in the best way possible. He kept my legs fresh and balanced, and his work greatly improved my recovery process during intense training cycles. Unfortunately, after moving to Colorado a few months ago, I have yet to find a massage therapists as good as Todd. Although, he did manage to squeeze me in for a massage while I was in town after racing in San Francisco recently. I highly recommend Todd for all of your sports massage needs. -Chris Vargo read more

Courtney is amazing. She took the time to hear my story and asked several questions about the activities that I do. When I told her that I take spin class primarily for exercise she knew exactly where to work on me as well as the zones I had pointed to her to.I left there feeling much less tight and with some tips on how to stretch everyday! If you have chronic injury or you need to work on a problem area I highly recommend Active Bodywork and Courtney! read more

I came here because i was having trouble sleeping due to back pain and leg pain. It was like a week i was like that. And i knew i needed something so i did some research and found out about active bodywork and what they do. So i emailed on a on Thursday and they were able to get me in on friday with Sandra. I booked for a deep tissue massage (which I've heard before is really good for the muscles) which i have never had one done before, but with all the pain i have had the past week, i wanted to have anything done that would help. Came to my appointment and met Sandra after she was done with her client. And she was super nice and funny. I told her what i was having problems in and she examined me and knew right awAy what i was talking about!! Which really amazed me. She suggested cupping for my back. (Did not hurt at all actually felt good) and she did warn me that the massage might be a bit painful. Yes my legs did feel it more lol but my back felt really good with the massage. I did make another appointment with her because i know i will need more done to get back to normal lol but the days after i felt really good!!! Like no discomfort at all that i was having before. I would recommend anyone to Sandra she is literally the best read more

I've been getting "deep tissue" massages for many years at commercial establishments, and I have been left feeling disappointed and frustrated. I suffer from Rheumatoid Arthritis and chronic pain in my low back every day. Since I have been getting sports massages by James, my pain has been reduced to a much tolerable level. He finds all the knots, and he gets them to release. My muscle pain is really deep, so I require a lot of pressure during massages. James always exceeds my expectations and does a great job! read more

I went to Active Bodywork for the first time today. I have been in pain for quite a while and have been told to learn pain management as my shoulder had Impingement and it is what it is. I have had many friends try this treatment and my gym owners use Active Bodywork so I decided what the heck. I'm not gonna lie it hurt like hell during the session but I have full range of motion and almost 0 pain in my shoulder and Fabian even fixed my knee which has been messed up for about a year. I would recommend Active Bodywork to anyone that has chronic pain. Give it a try read more

I am a runner and first came here a month ago, 6 months into my plantar fasciitis diagnosis. Working with Alicia has been wonderful not only because she gets stuff done but also because, after countless appointments with physical therapists and doctors, I feel like she is the first one that actually listens when I describe my pain and everything I have been doing. She was the first one to listen when I said that I thought I was having nerve pain and not muscle pain and quickly got to work helping me with it. It's been a miserable journey and thanks to Active Bodywork I finally see progress. read more
