I was wanting to go to a chiropractor for some on and off neck pain as well as overall posture concerns. I found Arena Chiropractic on an online Kaiser participating provider list and then cross referenced their Yelp. With the positive reviews, I called them and confirmed that they're accepting new clients and take Kaiser insurance as well. The receptionist over the phone was very nice, cheerful, and informative and I ended up making an appointment over the phone for the following week. When I arrived, there was parking available directly across from the suite and with visible signage, the chiropractor office was easy to get to. Right when I walked in, it felt like a standard chiropractor office with a small waiting room and a receptionist desk area right when you walk in. The receptionists again were very welcoming and warm. During my first appointment there was about 8 pages of paperwork I had to complete first and then I was escorted into one of the rooms. The receptionist took my blood pressure and temperature and then told me to wait for my chiropractor who is Dr. Diaz. She's the female chiropractor and they also have a male chiropractor in their practice. Dr. Diaz walked in shortly after and introduced herself, then proceeded to the computer to begin reviewing my file and begin the mobility assessment. I felt comfortable and Dr. Diaz was personable and professional. She adjusted my back and neck and explained everything thoroughly. Then, I was told about their two treatments offered which include a massage table that's like a spinal decompression table (they have a few towards the back of the office in an open, peaceful, and dimly lit room) and electrical stimulation (they have a few stations set up behind the receptionist desk area for this). The treatments are free to try out for your first visit, and then are $5 each during all subsequent visits. These treatments are entirely optional. I'm really glad I found this conveniently located chiropractor office and appreciate how Dr. Diaz has helped me immensely in just 2 visits thus far! My second visit, I was in and out within 10 minutes tops which is great since they're only open M-F. Lastly, I'm very glad they accept Kaiser insurance which allows me to pay just $15 out of pocket each adjustment. read more

Both receptionists were friendly and nice. I had a couple of text reminders before my appt. My insurance covers here. Dr. Chung listened my health history very carefully and recommended what I can do in home and adjustment was gentle enough but effectively working. Waiting time was reasonable. Plus, doc gave me free two massage therapy sessions (rolling bed and electric) for the first time. Mari for massage! She is AMAZING. Not only did she accommodate me by allowing me to do the whole massage on my back. But she also applied perfect pressure and didn't speak during the massage which really allowed me to relax and unwind. I ended up falling asleep too! I had my weekly adjustment with Dr. Chung today to help with my sciatica pain, which always helps, and then I decided to get a massage. Thankfully the friendly staff were able to fit me a little later with Ary. And she was fantastic. She found knots I didn't even know I had, and really worked on them and the rest of my body. I asked her to NOT be gentle as I really needed to destress my body before the busy weekend. And she did not disappoint! It was the best massage I have had in a long, long time. So for me, Arena Chiropractic helps me in many aspects of my physical well being. I have been getting treatment here for the last 3 months after I was rear ended. The staff here are super friendly. All the doctors here are superb. They are great listeners and made me feel comfortable since day 1. Most of my appointments were handled by Dr. Fry and Dr. Diaz. But they are all wonderful. I had multiple massages from Ary. I had a chiropractor for years when my insurance changed and I was left outside of the network, so I reluctantly changed my chiropractor. I have to say that I wish I had changed years ago! The first thing they did was to Xray my back, which showed my scoliosis--something the other chiropractor did not even mention!--which explained why I was throwing out my back regularly. They also have machines that they use in the practice, which, again, is something my original chiropractor did not have. I'm not saying that this review all comes down to modern machines because it doesn't; what it comes down to is that this office is very attentive and works to get to the bottom of what's causing your pain and I appreciate that! read more

I have been seeing a chiropractor since I was about the age of 16. I initially started for a sports injury but realized that chiropractic care is good for maintenance of the body. When I moved to Sacramento I was referred to Arena Chiropractic and scheduled with Dr. Emily Fry. I have been seeing Dr. Fry for a little over two years now. I call her, Dr. Bones, Dr. Magic Hands, and Dr. Miracle. I always thought I had a bad back from a car accident however, she recommend seeing a rheumatologist as my symptoms should be resolving with how much Chiro I was doing. Turns out I have an autoimmune disease. Dr. Fry could have kept treating me and not said anything - but she cares about the well being of her clients. She has demonstrated compassion, empathy, and love for the work she does! I still go back for maintenance care and it's like we never skipped a beat. She is a beautiful and kind human inside and out and is more than just a miracle worker! I can not recommend Dr. Fry enough AND the practice, Arena Chiropractic! Their office is clean, their staff are lovely and helpful, and they ambiance is comfortable and inviting. They even have in house massage - Mari also has miracle magic in her hands! He's helped me get back on my feet several times, from herniated disc, back surgery, stiff neck, etc. It's always about what's best for me, what I can do myself in between visits to keep improving. Waited way to long on first initial appointment, about an hour. When I said something to the chiro all I got was attitude. The staff was very nice, the doctor was an idiot. Don't walk around all high and mighty....it's a privilege for you to have clients not the other way around. This place is a joke.. Every appointment I had to wait 15-20 minutes past my appointment time to get into the room and then another 10-15 before the doctor would come in. The adjustments were decent. I do see a chiro weekly now and I never experienced the type of relief I do now when I was a patient at Arena. I also got a sport massage that was AWFUL! Probably one of the worst over ever had. My biggest issues were the lack of available appointments AND then having to wait and wait to be seen. I don't like to feel like my time isn't treated as just as valuable as yours. read more

The new traction roller tables are amazing! All the doctors are great. I like how they are consistently growing and updating. I'm particularly fond of Dr. Doan the newest addition to the practice, as she seems to find all my spots and fixes them pretty darn well. I've actually been a patient since 2013 and started with Dr. Chung. Dr. Wellborne, Chang and Doan are all good and just have slightly different techniques. I would advise to try them all and see who your prefer. I've got at least 100 visits here and my family combined over 200+ visits. I would highly recommend them to anyone especially those people who are scared of chiropractic work. My previous office closed and I needed a new chiropractor and was more than happy that they are also close to home. I've had experience with other chiropractors and there aren't too many options for chiropractic care in N. Natomas. Luckily they are close by and they are the best! Disgusting! I took my daughter in for care. Waited 45 minutes and then proceeded to have a 15 minute discussion about whether Insurance was going to pay with an open case or how payment could be secured. Why? Because the issue may stem from an auto accident the Dr. was concerned that he may be subpoenaed and require additional documentation. I stated clearly that I was there for the concern about my daughter. He could bill me directly if there was any concern about receiving payment. I have insurance and could even get a referral from our family physician if needed to secure their payment. Then he stated that he would prefer to refer me to another practice for our conversation was being adversarial. This practice is NOT about Chiropractic. It is an AMBULANCE CHASING FACILITY disguised as a holistic care practice. Not once did we discuss care for or potential issues that could be happening with my daughter. A business like this should not be around and it is a shame that someone like this can continue to operate like that. Even worse, it has to exist in Natomas. So much for the Chiropractic Oath. Only giving 2 stars because Dr. Welbourn was amazing but only got to see on initial consult. There is never any consistency in seeing one chiropractor. Dr. Chung and Dr. Doan are terrible. Terrible bedside manner. My insurance was going to change so I wanted to get in for adjustments and massage. I had all my appts in place and then was told that the masseuse assigned to me needed emergency surgery so all my appts were canceled without recourse. Plus they must not be giving therapists a living wage because they still ask for tips! Wth? read more

Everyone has been friendly. They take my insurance and I haven't had any billing issues. A few times I have needed receipts and they promptly emailed me all the information I requested. I have been going to Arena Chiropractic since 2012 and I have nothing but good things to say about them. I started by seeing Dr. Welborn for adjustments on my back and have seen great improvement. They also have electro-stim tables in the back which can be quite relaxing and definitely help with the back pain I had been experiencing. Recently, I started seeing Dr. Chung for active release therapy (ART) and Graston to help with my plantar faciitis. I have been dealing with foot pain and had tried everything from cortisone shots, to night splints, and even surgery. I wouldn't recommend this therapy as a first resort, but I was willing to try anything at this point. I am not going to sugar coat this, it is definitely painful, but the improvement is instantaneous! I have so much more mobility now and much less pain. I don't think I will have to go many more times before I am completely pain free! Dr. Chung also ordered me custom orthotics which will help with my pronation. I could not be happier with the results! Lastly, I have also been seeing the masseuse Heather. I have gotten massages from other massage therapists many times in the past and Heather is definitely one of the best! She is able to work in conjunction with the chiropractors to target your injured/painful areas and provide you with relief. The office also has Saturday hours available which greatly helps my busy schedule. read more

I was diagnosed with scoliosis in middle school, wore a back brace most of my teen years, and have never been to a chiropractor until this year. After working an office job for 1.5 years, I noticed the back pain was increasing and it was hard to sleep, move, and do basic movements like lifting boxes. I decided to check out Arena Chiropractic and I'm glad I did! Dr. Welbourn is extremely friendly and really cares that everything is feeling good. Getting adjustments is such a treat for me! The Stem machines were intimidating at first, but it's pretty relaxing after you figure out which settings you like.
