I am a current renter who placed a work order in on Saturday June 13th. It has been a little over a week(today is June 23) and it took me going to the front office to get an update (on June 22) on what the solution was going to be about the MOLD i found in my AC vent... in MY BEDROOM. I am 8.5 months pregnant, and up until the last week i enjoyed my time at these apartments. The location was convenient, staff was friendly, maintenance was Always respectful and polite. But since this new management team has taken over, this place does not feel like a home. Work orders typically had a turnaround time of 24-48 hrs. So this makes no sense to me. When i went to the front desk, i asked about an update for my work order, i was informed "we have had to let several people go so we are running with two maintenance men at the moment". Which, fine! But the explanation on why my apartment hasn't been checked was what got me. I was told "i printed out all the work orders and they are aware of them all and are working through them as best as they can, if they are not in your unit by today, they will be there sometime in the morning. It is currently 1:32pm and yet NOT ONE person has been in my unit. Oh but let me not forget to inform them if I will be renewing my lease! I have received a total of 6 texts, 11 emails (from June 4-June 22) about renewing my lease and not one text/email with an update on my work order. I informed the front desk woman that i was not renewing (the mold definitely played a part in my decision) and turned in my form right then and there. Any consideration of renewing left when lease renewal took precedence over health. Hopefully this gets their attention, because this is definitely a management issue and not a maintenance issue. Their lack of staffing should not risk the health of renters and management needs to prioritize the work orders and not just hand off to maintenance and let them figure it out. ***UPDATE*** Since Beatriz is based out of Austin and has clearly no professional experience when it comes to accountability, let me add an update. The cleaners mentioned showed up the next day. Thank goodness! In their professional opinion they mentioned, yes, that the AC setting should be set to "auto" not "on". This is my second lease here, and i moved to this unit to upgrade from the smaller one i was in. NOT ONCE DID anyone mention this to me, nor have i experienced this in any apartment I've called home., BUT also poor design. They mentioned how the layout for the vent in the shower/restroom pushed the air to the bedroom causing poor ventilation and being a big part of the mold issue. So it was a combination of both things. Now had the ac setting been mentioned, i would have gladly taken accountability. Clearly something you do not know anything about. My review was more so to draw attention to the facts... it took me writing this review to get a response and/or action 7 BUSINESS DAYS LATER. It was the lack of urgency and accountability in action and response that was more of concern, second to the initial work order, MOLD. Beatriz, a more respectful response would have been to leave a number and have me contact you to get my side. A review CLEARLY does not allow enough space to give ALL details. Your lack of knowledge and information regarding this situation is clear. Had you attempted to reach out to speak to me this could have been taken care of with the office here. But because you chose the right one, i didn't have time to make this edit, but i MADE time. It is now public. This is only one of the many concerns and issues that happen here. This complex is not a place to call home anymore. There has been SEVERAL vehicle break-ins, all within the same day or days apart. Vandalism to vehicles(caused by hit and runs). Elevators constantly being broken down and taking days to repair so if you live on the first floor but have to park all the way up because there's no open spots on the lower levels, the stairs is the way to go.(good luck if you're on the 6th floor parking). Break-ins to storage units. I've had my street access door almost broken(or entry attempts) several times. As well as things stolen off my porch (like my shoes). I could go on. But public do what you will with this info.

This is especially concerning around the townhomes, where there are no speed bumps or other effective traffic-calming measures. Children regularly walk through this area to and from the school bus and bus stops, and vehicles continuing to speed through the complex creates a serious and unnecessary safety hazard. Posting a reminder after weeks of complaints is a start, but a social media post or notice alone does not physically slow vehicles down. I strongly believe management needs to take more meaningful action, such as installing speed bumps or other traffic-calming measures in the townhome areas before someone gets hurt. Residents and their children should be able to walk through their own community without worrying about vehicles speeding through residential areas. This issue deserves more urgency and a real solution, not just a reminder to slow down.

It seems like there is a new issue almost every day, and considering how expensive these apartments are, the number of ongoing problems is unacceptable. The office staff is another concern. Instead of providing solutions, they are often unhelpful and sometimes rude. They do not clearly explain policies or procedures, and the terms and conditions seem to change frequently, even though I originally signed a different lease agreement. There are also too many rules and restrictions. While some neighbors are very friendly and respectful, others are rude and inconsiderate. It is common to hear arguments and disturbances throughout the community. Although the property is attractive and generally well maintained, there are still issues such as cigarette smoke odors, despite smoking not being allowed. Another major inconvenience is the guest parking policy. Residents often need permits for visitors, and when the office is closed, it can be impossible to obtain one. This creates constant concern that a guest's vehicle may be towed. Overall, while the complex is beautiful and clean, my experience during this second year has been very disappointing, and I would not recommend it based on the management and ongoing issues.

Immediately there were 2 big issues. First, the Zillow posting I found them through said that the unit had a washer and dryer (I have the screenshots) and it did not. When I asked about that they told me they had to select that instead of hook-ups available because it was the only option they had. Stupid lie but whatever. They sent me my lease the day before I was supposed to move in. It was supposed to be a 1 year lease, but when I received it it was only for 10 months. I reached out (they do NOTHING in person) and they told me at the last minute the owner decided they wanted leases in the neighborhood to end at the same time and I could take it or leave it. It was the day before move-in and everything was ready to go so I didn't have time to find anything else. They could care less about repairs while you live there. But the real fun starts when you move out. They steal your security deposit. It is illegal and I am not sure how they get away with it. First, they seemed surprised when I drove to their office in the middle of nowhere because I didn't trust them to be honest about receiving my keys in the mail. When I told them who I was, they said they didn't know I was moving out. I have every email communication with them for the entire time I lived there. I let them know 3 months in advance (only require 60), and reconfirmed a month out. I received late rent notifications for the next 2 months! Then, I did not receive my list of deductions until a week and a half AFTER my 30 days within which they are supposed to have my security deposit to me. I received the actual check almost 1 month late, 2 months after I moved out. I disagreed with the deductions and wanted an explanation and I was told (again, I have the email) saying they couldn't tell me as they don't look at the units. They hire an outside company to come in and whatever they charge the tenant is charged. So I assume from reading the reviews that this company goes in and charges regardless of condition to Turnkey, and then Turnkey marks that up to make profit. There was NOTHING wrong with my unit. In my decades of renting I have never had any portion of my security deposit not returned. Also, my security deposit check is from a company out of Fort Worth, Insight Realty Network. In searching that company, it looks like it was in a virtual office and has rolled into another reality group. So I assume they ran into legal issues and had to dissolve somewhat. Everything about this company is shady. I made an official complaint with the BBB that now shows on their company page. I reached out to every news agency in San Antonio and told them about this company but sadly there was no interest in this story. This company keeps deposits in bad faith which is illegal in the state of Texas. They regularly break the following Texas State rental laws: §92.103, §92.107, §92.109. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. They blocked me on IG because I added this review to their post. They have also removed reviews from their FB because they had 1 star reviews there as well!

update after move out…read more.. reasons why my rating significantly dropped: 1) ROACHES!!!!!!! we got our apartment sprayed at LEAST 6 times with 1 supposed "bombing" and the roaches never left. our dishwasher was completely unusable due to the tons of roaches that made a home inside it. not to mention roaches in the STOVETOP and in kitchen appliances!!! no matter how much we cleaned and got sprayed they never went away. we actually weren't given our full deposit back due to the state of the dishwasher (which was never used by us) 2) lack of security!!! had my car broken into (like many others) and all they asked for was an apartment number at the front desk. filed a police claim and nothing happened. apparently this was an ongoing issue that had happened multiple times before. also the fact that we were told our entrance gate code would change every few months and remained the same for the entire time we lived there. 3) trash pickup. our trash can was constantly not being picked up, and we received letters saying it was too heavy (which it hardly was) or torn into (mice/cats would get into it when we would place it out). it was very annoying!!! overall, it was an okay living situation. i wouldn't live here just for the roaches alone. you decide!!!

We viewed their 2 bedroom townhomes, but finally decided on leasing the 3 bed townhome to afford us more space. While we didn't get a chance to view the unit we would ultimately be leasing, we were assured it was almost identical to the 2 bed we toured. Because we lived 2 1/2 hours north at the time of reservation, we postponed signing the lease until we could do an in-person walk-through. Thank God we did. Lori was our leasing agent and the individual who gave us the tour of the units. She was also the one who took us to the unit we reserved to do our pre-move in inspection. She should've just told us to start looking elsewhere. Black mold in the bathroom, unknown mold in the kitchen cabinet, hornet's nests everywhere on the exterior walls and eaves, cobwebs throughout, broken blinds, cabinet shelves and doors? I was shocked that Lori would even bother to bring us to such a place! It explained why she kept rushing us to get back to the leasing office to sign the contract. The fact that she thought we would after seeing all of that was insane. I asked to speak with Sarah (the apartment manager) when I became infuriated at the realization that her employee expected our family to be okay with this s#!tshow of a townhome. That, coupled with the fact that all of our worldly goods were to be delivered to this location within 48 hours, enraged me. Sarah brought over the maintenance supervisor and attempted to mitigate all this drama, but it was spiraling out of her control as I peeled back the layers. We had nowhere to sleep that night, so I tried to find a hotel asap. Thankfully we did, but we were still left with not having a place to receive our home goods. Sarah offered us another unit, same situation: pests, cobwebs, dirty cabinets, hornet's nests, etc; in addition to the unit's being way too small. We agreed to let them clean up a unit for us to move into the following day. I left feeling dirty and pissed off. As I lay in our hotel bed that night I came to the conclusion that there was no way I was going to rent a place that was too small for our family for close to 2K a month, just because P@WA didn't have enough respect for potential (or current) residents to take pride in their property. The plan was to temporarily rent the smaller unit until one of the 3 bed units could be "brought up to standard", then have us move into that one. So, to recap: 4 moves in less than a year? We're a lifetime military family and we have never done that with the Army, let alone because a "luxury" property is too lazy or inept to maintain a unit. We called the property manager and told her we would not be returning and asked her to refund our complete deposit. She did so. It's been a week and a few days- we just received the refund check today. I wouldn't recommend P@WA to anyone, let alone military families. I think the property is a pig painted up with make-up. That's actually an insult to pigs. We were left scrambling to find a place to live with our two children and I'd be utterly disgusted if anyone involved in this debacle still has their jobs.

But it was actually some one stole their tires and left truck on bricks. I got all of my stuff from the truck stolen. The office told us to make a police report, and they can't do anything. Well ok. This can happen anywhere too I guess. They have a patrol for the club house to make sure to kick everyone out at 10pm, but not for security of tenants. Fine. Second, the trash valet is trash as it is. I don't know who the contractor are, but they simply throw your trash bin away after they pick it up. I put out trash bag and recycle bag separately and they don't even pick up the recycle bag. Instead, they just kick the regular trash bin (or throw it back to floor) your are lucky to find your trash bin out of your door after you put them out. I found mine front of the next door because there was 2 of them and one is like on picture. I really don"t see the point of paying $35 a month when I actually have to go dump out my recycles every day. Overall, this apartment looks great when you see it while you do a tour. But what you see is just sugar coated. It is not worth it to pay this much money for this place. I truly regret my contract here. Do more your homework before you move in here. Oh. I had to add up some more after I read the other reviews. Yes. There is a lots of dogs. I do love pets but there is alot of people don't clean up after their beloved one do their job. I stepped on the poop few times already. There are so many other things to mention too such as fixing dish washer like 5 times and still not working, gate clicker issue that happened many times and other stuff that other ppl mentioned. I researched whois for the parkatwestave and it only shows they are from Arizona. I'm going to find out and report them to BBB as well.
