When we met Danny, we took a weekend trip to Texas. We wanted to meet our new realtor and visit some houses in San Antonio and the surrounding area, and we realized during this weekend to Texas we would need more time to find just the right home. The weekend we spent with Danny was a fun time getting to learn about him, and he learned about us so that we knew we were on the right track to find the right home. We needed to find a place to stay quickly once we move to Texas and during the weekend visit luck was on our side, Danny has a fully furnished Airbnb that we decided to rent while we search for our new home. Once we moved to Texas, we rented the Airbnb. We did find a house quickly (thanks to Danny listening to what we were looking for in a home) and we rented the Airbnb for four months while our new home was in the process of completion. Danny is very knowledgeable, professional and listens to his clients. During the closing process, Danny made sure we felt at ease during this process and took all our many questions and all were answered in detail. Danny was with us every step of the way. It took us a while to realize that the realtor was 20 years behind the times on how to market homes. We would go to check on the home and find that there were no marketing materials in the home. Or the brochures in the home were not for our home- the realtor had put another of her listing's brochures into our house (understandable because it was identical to our brochures, only a different address!) The MLS listing she wrote for the home contained spelling errors. Emails were never answered Calls were never returned. Or the realtor would call and say, "Did you call?" only to discover that she had meant to call another client. We never got any information about showings. Never got updates from open houses. We finally moved our listing to another company because it became apparent that the agent was disorganized, scatterbrained and incompetent. After we left, the manager of Kuper's sent us a letter praising the agent as one of their best agents. We had to laugh. When we moved to another agency, the new real estate agent was incredulous at the performance of our Kuper's agent. We received more advice, feedback and information from our new agent in the first week than we received in weeks with the Kupers agent. We're wiser now. Anytime you deal with an agent ask them exactly how they plan to market your home. If they don't talk about specific marketing that involves social media and the internet, don't sign with them. If they talk about "staging" and "open houses", they are behind the time on how to market homes. If they don't walk the home with you and give you specific feedback, don't use them. If they don't give you weekly updates on the number of showings and the feedback from those showings, take your business elsewhere.

From the day we moved in, our experience has been disappointing. We've submitted multiple maintenance requests that have either gone unanswered or been marked as completed without anyone ever coming to our home. One of the most concerning issues is a large hole our neighbor's dog dug under the fence, allowing it access to our backyard. I was told they would "look into it, and call me back" but I never received a follow-up. Despite multiple calls, voicemails, and an online work order, the issue remains unresolved weeks later. We also reported an unbalanced ceiling fan that appears unsafe to use. After waiting over two months, I received a notification stating the repair had been completed, even though no one ever came to inspect or fix it. Communication has been extremely poor. Calls are rarely returned, voicemails go unanswered, and it feels nearly impossible to get a response from maintenance, the tenant coordinator, or Property Manager Melisa Day. Another frustration is that because these are new construction townhomes, tenants are expected to coordinate directly with vendors for certain repairs. That responsibility should fall on property management, not the tenant. To make matters worse, there is a significant gnat infestation. Despite paying for private pest control every two months and purchasing Zevo traps at my own expense, the problem persists. After speaking with several neighbors, I learned this is a community-wide issue. My experience has left me feeling that once the lease is signed, tenant concerns are no longer a priority. If you are considering renting here, I encourage you to carefully research the property before making your decision. We looked at new developments and older homes. We covered as much ground as we could in one week. At the end of the week, we chose to buy a home and flew back to LA to pack. There was a small period of disconnect between us, H1S, and our home builder. Things eventually worked out and we moved to SA and into our home... although a week after we had anticipated. H1S helped us set up all of our utilities. The staff patiently answered our slew of questions. They even allowed us to use their office as our office in the week that we were "homeless" (living in a hotel). We had access to their computers...were able to print and fax...all free of charge.
