After some initial frustrations with maintenance and communication, Tony (Property Manager) and Laura Agar (property manager) stepped in and handled the situation professionally and efficiently. They took the time to address our concerns, followed through on repairs, and made sure everything was resolved properly. UPDATE August 11th, 2025 Maintenance here is great. Those guys are amazing. I'm dissatisfied with how long our AC took to get fixed but it seems like this is an upper management level issue. This is not to the fault of anyone at the leasing office or anyone in maintenance. It took a while to get sorted but truly everyone was understanding and kind. I work from home, so living for almost three weeks in a 77-80 degree apartment was rough. I want to emphasize how kind the maintenance workers are here and how hard they work for us. August 9th, 2025 I've lived here since Feb of 2024 and have had little issue living here up until the summer of 2025. Our air conditioning has been out for over a week in the 95+ degree heat. Our AC filter was replaced and we were told to "let them know" if things improved. When that did not help, a portable window unit was brought in several days after begging for something else. This will cool one room out of the over 1,000 sq ft apartment. I'm writing this as my apartment is 81 degrees on a Saturday afternoon in August. I have attempted to contact the office by both texting, calling and walking into the office to ask a real person, and everyone seems to be on a different page about my unit. Things were not like this when I moved in last year. The maintenance team hasn't really changed, and they are all really nice and just do what they are told to do. I used to have maintenance be out at my unit to fix the smallest thing within 24 hours of making a maintenance request. This is no longer the case. read more

Our rates kept going up and we had horrible maintenance people on site . our AC was horrible and they never fixed the problem until the unit burned out and started to smoke out our apartment. called the maintenance emergency on call and they never picked up . Pur AC wasn't fixed for almost 3 days and we had a new born . then we had a bug problem and that was never fixed at all . waisted $2000 a month on. just the name of the apartment. We needed to keep our kids in the same school until the school year was over. We decided to rent a one bedroom apartment at SYNC at Nobu for three months. We DID NOT live in the apartment. We just paid rent. I took pictures and did inventory and emailed to the main office. The apartment was dirty inside and the balcony had bird poop all over it.No big deal for us since we weren't living there. Fast forward- Time to turn the apartment back in. Well they did the walk through and we informed them we didn't live in it. Everything seemed fine. Well they sent us a bill for $70.00 for power wash for a carpet never used. Then we are given the whole thing (it is in writing). We didn't sign our inventory form that magically is not available to them bc you have to come in and have leasing office and you sign it TOGETHER. Amazing how they follow protocol at the end but not at the beginning (where papers need to be signed) So *****WARNING**** if you decide to rent here: * You will get a dirty apartment * The only clean and nice place is the leasing office *You WILL get charge power wash for a carpet not used and a service never done.( I did get a dirty apartment) *The interior of the apartments are really worn down *They are quick to send you to collections for the power wash scam. I am sure they have a few others up their sleeves. *Make sure Leasing office and you sign the Inventory sheet at the beginning. Nothing luxurious about this place, no one cleans up after their pets or themselves. Dog feces and beer can all over grass and parking lot. Noise complaint are don't exist here and when you tell them to reduce noise they say you are threatening them. Walls are thin and can hear upstairs and side neighbors arguing. Huge gaping hole over patio door that has been patched several times,but never repaired. Everytime it rains my unit gets leaks all around the patio door frame. Door is frame is actually shifting due to dilapidation by water damage. I've received an email stating it would be fixed to no avail. I'm approaching my 9th month out here and still no repair. I got an email in August, but still no repairs or response to my last email. My Navy dollars are being misappropriated because this is definitely not services rendered for payment. She gave me a tour of the grounds, answered all of my questions to make sure I felt comfortable. Just moved out of our apartment. We didn't have issues while we lived there. The staff was great. Once we moved out, we were sent photos of items that were left in the closet. One of which was a file that had tax returns, photos, birth certificates, Etc. I immediately called them, and they said they threw them away. How can they just throw something like that away without contacting me to let me know it was left behind. I realize it is my responsibility to remove items but mistakes happen, and things are crazy when you're moving. Now I have to worry about my personal items floating around. A little common courtesy, and a simple call could have resolved all of that. I have been in that same industry, and I would never throw something like that away without contacting the previous renter. When we called they simply said we forfeited our items. This is the worst customer service and just plain lack of human decency. ****Update on review. After contacting numerous people, I was able to get my file box back. Thank you. At first, it was a smooth move in - they had a deal where you got first month free, and no deposits. We read previous reviews, were confident it would be a great experience. Four months later, after several issues that arose, we learned that safety was not of this community's concern. I did not want to elaborate on the rest of the issues (maintenance, noise, trash, etc) because I felt this reason was good enough to warn potential residents about. The rest seems to be what others are talking about already on here, anyway. Within 4 months, there were multiple reports of burglaries, mostly car theft or even motorcycle theft. Cars were being broken into, and within a 4 month time span, only one email was sent to residents warning them of these instances. Every other instance, including one that personally happened to me, was brushed under the rug. They claim to have cameras - one personnel says they had none, while another one said 'they don't work', etc, gates are stuck open and broken for several days, and they claim to have fixed those issues, however, this happens more often than not. The courtesy officer doesn't appear to ever be utilized, and if they have police on property, they aren't here for them and have their own jobs to do. This community is more concerned with bringing in money and less about keeping their current residents safe. Please, before you consider this property, consider somewhere else like Marquis or Cortland, or anywhere else that actually has security. read more

There are pet owners who not only don't pick up their droppings, but regularly (several times a week) allow their dogs to urinate, vomit, and diharea on the stairs and landings. read more

They say there's no reserved parking yet they don't stop multiple people from saving themselves front parking every day by using their motorcycles to make sure no one else ever gets a spot in their very limited parking. They know everyone in the building hates them for it so one of them even put a camera up in his front window to make sure no one vandalizes his motorcycle. Now my wife feels like she is being watched at all times and doesn't feel safe as a woman coming and going. Plus the walls are paper thin. We will not be renewing. read more

Okay, so I haven't lived here long, but this is for those people that are considering moving here. PROS: the amenities are great! A big, shiny pool, sitting area, grills everywhere, super dog friendly. The exteriors are very nice IMO, a bit more modern looking than most of what's nearby. I have a three bedroom townhome with just over 1600 square feet---huge for that sort of thing in this area! The hardwood/faux hardwood flooring in the kitchen and entry are fantastic, harding materials! The time backsplash is so pretty! There is a Dunkin' Donuts/Baskin Robbins being build at the corner of the development---a huge bonus/temptation for all! I completed everything online for the move-in process, and although it was a leap of faith, it was *moderately* easy. Access to 1604 is a snap, and the area surrounding the complex is sure to be one of the next superdeveloping areas. CONS: the materials used inside the apartments are moderate to low-end at best. I can only speak for my townhome, but dang. The carpeting is bottom of the barrel, and you will not be able to wear shoes without marks everywhere. The paint is horrible, and even touching it produces a mark (let alone placing furniture anywhere near it, and no, we are not clumsy or dirty folk :)) The appliances are low end, with a small fridge and an electric stove. The cabinets in the kitchens will have you struggling to fit plates in fully as they are a bit on the slim side, but they sure look pretty. The countertops are laminate, although they are an unoffending color. There are blinds and lights that don't make sense-- like near or on the vaulted ceiling-- that make it impossible to easily open or fix them. If there is a hot tub, I haven't found it yet. Last, I haven't seen many kids under 18 here, but PLENTY of young 20-somethings who have been pretty respectful and mindful of others, so I guess this place is perfect for that age set. This is good for those wanting that, but not so great for me or my school-aged children. Overall, the place is pretty and for us, its benefits outweigh its drawbacks. I'd love for this place to be condos so I could buy and customize all the crappy low-end items. But for now, it's good and one of the more pretty complexes in the area. I can't speak to the customer service or the maintenance, or the paying situation yet...but may update later. I hope this helps! read more

Agree with the other comment, customer service is not the best. The apartments are ok, not bad not the best. I have found this same problems in other apartments, they are just polite as soon as you sign the contract, that's normal at the end they are sales persons. One problem here at NoBu is the main Gate, I do not think it was well designed and thus is ALWAYS broken. I also used to pay by the web and since it has been acquired by Elysian the web is NEVER working. The statement is very complex. My contract is about to run and I have not receive a notification neither a letter as they used to do with the other management. I feel it has gone from medium to bad with the management change. read more

I have been staying at NoBu Station (now Elysian) apartments for almost a year now and I must say, I have never been more disappointed with an establishment. Yes it looks very nice, neat, and modernized on the outside but don't let them fool you. Behind closed doors I have a dishwasher that you must force shut in order to use and that's after having it fall off the tracks EVERY TIME I go to load dishes into it, making it a wrestling match in attempt to get it back on track every time I need to load/unload them. I have a light fixture in my bathroom that has been out since day one, someone came in to fix it and left with it still broken. Same with my door which does not like up with the frame and you can see about a 1/3inch into my apartment at night through a crack on the side which the locks are on. Now that's safe! Again I had someone sent over to fix that and he left with a half done job again. The plastic shelving in the closet has fell down twice with minimal amounts of clothes hung on it. The bathroom door must be shoved closed or else it pops open. The pantry is half wasted space because it's all pushed back behind a wall which you can not get to. The toilet doesn't flush half of the time (another thing I had them come and "fix") and to be quite honest, I don't notice any type of hospitality from anyone in the office. They are petty, rude, and have their noses so high in the clouds. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. They need to shut this establishment down, go one by one remodeling and do things the RIGHT way this time. You can absolutely tell that they rushed these apartments and were most concerned with the outer appearance and filling people in them. One good thing, the location. 0 out of 5 stars. read more

I've been living here just over a year and the front office staff is always friendly and helpful, the pool area is incredible...perfect for hanging out, grilling, or watching football with a group of friends, and the apartments are nice and updated. I moved here from a different apartment and really loved it. I think my unit was called the "Broadway". It was 1 bed/1 bath and good enough for 2 people. Nice peaceful area and has some elevation to it. I think it's 1000 ft above sea level. Maintenance was done on time. Only thing I would recommend is making an adjustment to the month to month policy. But the rent was reasonable for what you get. Never had an issues. The added bonus was the new HEB that was built nearby. I would consider it an upscale apartment. read more

I've only been living here with my husband and toddlers for a week now and we love it! Three leasing staff and manager since the beginning have been nothing short of amazing! I handled the application and lease all without seeing anyone (was coming from out of town). The manager Jaida is a God send especially with her knowledge of renting when on active duty orders! Since moving in I've had a couple maintenance requests which almost ALL expect one (pest control comes on Thursdays) have been taken care of on the same day! Dryer didn't work, BOOM replaced it, something was up with the Dishwasher, BOOM replaced it! I don't fault them at all for those appliances because those things have minds of their own. So far we love living here! Pretty quite around here, we're probably the loud ones with a 1.5 & 2.5 year old currently going through the terrible twos! Lord bless my neighbors! read more

I loved this apartment complex until it was taken over new management. After that everything went down hill. Maintenance never came on time & if they did they would just knock & walk in. If you don't want maintenance in your apartment you have to leave a note on your door, front office doesn't communicate with maintenance like they promised. They lost my move in email/paper of damages some how? Now that's on me to pay. Im having to take them to small claims court. Just sucks the new management ruined a place I loved. Needless to say if the management didn't change I would still be there & not be dealing with all this. Save you a headache & go somewhere else. I don't normally write reviews but this place really hurt my heart at the end. I'm all about treat others how you would want to be treated & the front office drained me & upset me. I am someone that has been a resident over a year and has enjoyed my stay. I really want to highlight that the staff is phenomenal with working and communicating. And with major issues they even included higher management to get involved to make sure everything was taken care of. All the people on the phones have been a lot of help being informative and quick to get answers if they didn't know. A couple highlight people I'd like to mention are Jessica Little who not only showed us the unit we are currently in but has resolved and worked with us with certain issues. Did an incredible job straightening them out and making us feel cared for. Austin Roy is another that has helped several times even with all my questions, he has been very helpful. Other staff have been too (Nadene Perkins, Erica Castellanos & Colleen Flores)! Upper management, Ast. Property Manager (Jaida) also helped me around with the apartment lingo that I was not familiar with and resolved some major issues making a smooth transition to my newest unit here. Very pleased and appreciate all the help they have done already. This is definitely a place where the staff that wants to help make this a great place to stay. read more

My Fiance and I lived at this Apartment Complex (NOBU Station aka Elysian at NOBU Station) for a year... I have a family member that is Bipolar and that is exactly what the leasing office including Management are like. They can be nice and polite, or most recently selfish and just plain mean (Stacy-Assistant Manager). Expressing a cold attitude and impolite tones with me, completely unprofessional attitude and hostility. I don't know if it has anything to do with our lease being up at the end of the month or what. Regardless, we deserve a more professional behavior from the leasing staff regardless if we are in our last month of our lease. Especially, since we've had excellent payment history (never missed or had any late payments). Stay away from here if you want excellent Customer Service... Because you wont get that here at Nobu Station. Good luck. read more

We've been residents here for almost 4 years and I've always been in good standing with the office. I'm never late on rent nor have we ever complained about anything. We had our first dispute and it just so happened to be over parking arrangements. The original leasing agent who filled out the paperwork made a mistake and entered the wrong parking spot. The current leasing agent, Monica, refused to acknowledge any of our grievances and completely blamed us for not closely reading what we signed, which, in hindsight, is a good lesson to learn. This does not negate the fact that she was completely rude and unprofessional. When working in a business that relies heavily on word-of-mouth and customer relations, you would figure being more tactful would be a priority. The complex manager and the complex itself, I have no real gripes with, but this particular leasing agent may need some additional training. read more

Lived here for 2 years and had minimal complaints until I moved out. Upon move-out, I was e-mailed a final move out notice that indicated that I was to receive my deposit back. The management then decided to send out a second final move out notice a solid 8 days after the end of my lease and charge me for my carpet. When confronted about the conflicting reports I received, I was told that it was a "system error" and that the first notice was never to have been sent. A system failure on NOBU Station's part is not my problem however, the management did not seem to understand just how shady their business dealings are. Overall, they're great until you move out. Then it's an all out money grab. Stay away unless you plan on living and dying in your apartment and never moving. Also, the front gates will ALWAYS be open. They are constantly 'broken' and seemed to be fixed for 1-3 days maximum before they're 'broken' again and need to be propped open constantly despite the fact that management declares that safety is such a priority. I had my car broken into during one of the month long spans with the front gates open. read more

I'm giving it a 4 star based on me moving in a few months after it opened and loving all the amenities. I never had issues except when I moved in to a brand new apartment with spiders and dusty. I paid on time and I loved how easy it was to do it online. A few months before my lease was over I was asked if I would like to renew and due to me moving out of town I didn't. But the week before I left I met the new management and let me tell you. I was glad I was leaving. She was rude. No manners. I was shocked. Was okay during our first year here. Afterwards, theft started becoming a big issue. The gates at the front let any one that follows the first car through them. If pest control isn't requested regularly, the rooms do get overrun with silverfish which are prevalent. Walls are super thin and footsteps can be heard through the ceiling very easily. The pool is usually full so living here we have only used it once. If any issues are brought up to the front staff, if it doesn't involve them directly, they will just shrug it off. I have lived here twice. First time was in 2013 when they FIRST opened up. It was a brand new complex and the management was horrible. I left due to many reasons. I have since then moved back in 2015. I like the location, it's perfectly situated in the green, yet still right by a major highway with easy access to other interchanges. I travel far for work and this is a great location. The neighborhood is quiet and the neighbors are mostly friendly. I will say, of all the places I have ever lived, this place has the best staff. Everyone in the office is great. I don't expect perfection like some other reviewers, but in comparison to other places, they are amazing. Super helpful always, they are willing to spend the time with you and address anything. There was a hiccup with my move in, and Brande worked with me and made my move in GREAT. Anytime I need something fixed, it is done asap. Trash service is great. I had so many complaints when I lived here in 2013, but it's improved substantially. The pool can be annoyingly busy at times, but.. its such a GREAT POOL! Parking is limited at times as well, but I rarely encounter a double parked car, or just plain rude people taking up unreasonable space. Neighbors are courteous, and I've never had a complaint there. I get notifications when I receive a package. Which is great, because I am ALWAYS so busy. The ONLY complaint I have is - during the holidays, there are a lot of stolen packages and car break ins. This has not changed from 2013 - 2015. I honestly don't feel that is a fault of the management. The apartments are nice and located next to a main highways, so easy access and tempting to the bad guys. I will look into renewing my lease, but possibly upgrading to a bigger space. I hope the same management team is still here when I renew. read more

Issues since day one. Cheap stinky paint that didn't cover weird stains on the wall (it took about a month for the paint stink to completely be gone.) Stove broken upon move in. Dryer broken upon move in. Carpeting yellow foam glue exposed in dining area coming out over the carpet edge. Wasp nests in balcony upon move in. Baby roaches in sink upon move in. Stained bathroom floor tiles. Old out dated appliances/fixtures. Light fixtures not centered. Light in laundry room did not work properly upon move in. Missing door stoppers. Restroom door did not properly close upon move in. Leaking sink upon move in. Roof leaked and it took 19 days to fix. The carpet is the cheapest of the cheap, and lumpy. The staff pretend to care, but they don't. And they only throw community events so they can eat or drink alcoholic beverages in excess. These are just some of the reasons why you should spend your money elsewhere. read more

Not recommended... nothing but trouble with my water bills which they indicated were NOT submetered but which in fact are. My water bill continued to increase as more residents moved into the bldg. They charge you 21.00 for trash included with your rent however you pay for it in your water bill as well. And if you choose not to pay for covered parking .. good luck finding a spot when you get home from work. Glad I'm out of there. Look elsewhere! read more
