The Vintage is a lovely property located in the medical center. It is very quiet and has various spacious units with great staff. I had a problem with the application tool because I forgot my password to my email and Nick was so helpful. He gave an amazing tour and made the process as seamless as he could. The family stressed and he did a terrific job solving the problem. Nick is quite helpful and informative. He is knowledgeable a the consummate professional. I moved to San Antonio for grad school and wanted an apartment that was close to campus, safe, and well maintained. I got all of that at The Vintage and couldn't be happier. My unit has no problems and had updated features when I moved in. The property is gated, has a courtesy officer who patrols regularly, and the neighbors are generally quiet. We have trash valet service that comes Sunday-Thursday and a secure mailroom to make it easy to get packages outside of office hours. The only complaint is that some pet owners do not clean up after their dogs despite the availability of dog poop bags and trash cans. The office staff is prompt about answering questions and very courteous, but a special shout out goes out to James, their head of maintenance. He always does a great job, has a positive attitude, and has set the bar high. All my maintenance requests are completed within 24 hours and always done correctly. I wrote a review of this place a week after I moved in, and gave it five stars. The place was well maintained and James was a five star employee without question. But management here is abysmal. Watch your move out, as they will not return your security deposit. They'll say they needed to paint the walls and clean the carpets, even if they are spotless and look like they did when you moved in. That sucks over $100 of your security deposit into their pockets. And if you turn in your keys even a day before your scheduled move out date, they'll hit you with a "60 Day Notice to Vacate" failure and charge you for that. Break ins to the mailboxes and car thefts, and management ignores requests for installing security cameras. Management has no interest in maintaining a community of interested residents. Apartment turnover is profitable for them, and so their actions encourage it. Look elsewhere. read more

My husband and I recently moved here and the staff has been so nice especially James I give him a 5 star! he has been really helpful with our move. We had a light bulb go out and our toilet wasn't flushing properly and he was at our door in a timely manner and he made sure we were happy with his work before he left. He always has a smile on his face and asks if we need anything and it's really appreciated. The tenants that own dogs are what we have an issue with because they are not picking up after them, my husband and I are constantly picking up dog poop that is not our dogs everyday in the dog park and in the grass area located behind the apartments! It really sucks and it's disappointing the staff provides us with dog bags and trash can for the poop and yet tenants are not doing their part. We should be trying to keep the grass areas nice so dogs and people can walk through without worrying about stepping on poop. This morning we picked up 13 bags of poop in the dog park we were trying to play with our dog but we don't want her running through a bunch of poop! It's ridiculous and inconsiderate it's almost like someone needs to be hired to pick up dog poop daily because tenants aren't doing their part. I really hope this changes and we all keep the grass areas clean so we can all enjoy our dogs. Ok little update since I last wrote this review. The amazing staff took initiative and have been on top of picking up the dog poop I see them out there more than a few times a day picking up dog poop. They also sent out an email to the residents the day I posted this review telling them that they need to be picking up up their dogs. It's still unfortunate that the residents don't care and won't pick up after their animals but it's nice that the staff does care even though it's not their responsibility. Like I said before the staff at the vintage gets 5 stars and that's why I'm changing my review because they deserve it. read more

Amazing apartments with great staff. Definitely one of the best apartments I have lived in. The maintenance is reliable and easy to get work done, all thanks to James. Would recommend to anyone looking to live here. Very spacious floor plans for a competitive price, especially compared to the newer developments. It is very quiet here and the scenery is very lush. Haven't seen a cockroach once since my time here! They spray for bugs regularly, are repainting, and pressure washing the building. They keep up the facilities well. read more

I was living in 423 for many years until the new manager took over and within 4 months I was unable to stay because the manager who is, frankly, a snake in the grass! She has no respect or tolerance for elderly and disabled residents, plus my network was always being hacked into by the residents below me who are home 24/7 smoking weed. I would not recommend this place they never fix anything . They let us move in with broken dusty blinds said would replace . Elevator is so never never cleaned . The ladies never answer phones & maintenance only thing seems know how to do is blow dirt around with leaf blower . Had both vehicles broke into twice called police & insurance company. Called office & only thing could say they don't have cameras . Anyone can get through the gate . I pay over 1,850.00 & don't feel safe here at all . There is no security don't waste your time it's a put on make it look good when trying to get you to move in but then everything is falling through soon as you move in read more

This August I will have lived here for six years. My husband (died two months ago) and I always remarked how much we loved it here. The first manager when we first moved here was okay. Then came Angie, Christine and Ali. They were excellent. They were easy to communicate with and were always helpful if there were problems. Much to my chagrin they have been moved to other properties. This past week we now have Sierra and Lacey. Sierra immediately helped me when I was having trouble setting up a new portal since my husband died. The grounds are well maintained. The maintenance here is outstanding. James and George always call me by name and if anything needs attention one or the other is here immediately. Having lived in a home the last fifty years it is a joy not to have to be concerned about roofs leaks, yard maintenance and home repairs. A phone call takes care of that. James and George are always so pleasant. The parking garage is a plus instead of a huge parking lot. I am on a floor that the parking area is not in the totally covered part but it is still nice to have some cover over the cars. Even if there is an extra charge having garbage pickup at your door five nights a week is so helpful, no carrying heavy bags to a dumpster. I highly recommend this place as a place to make your home. read more

Although the Vintage is quite small, the apartment has been a wonderful home to my roommate and I. With a short walk, I can travel to and from from the medical center with ease. The convenience has been ideal! Management is great and the maintenance is truly the BEST! Every problem I have ever mentioned to the staff has been taken care of immediately. James is by far the most incredible maintenance staff member I have ever come to know. He is always happy to help and never leaves a problem unsolved. Very convenient to the medical center; very pleasant and cooperative management; friendly neighbors. We took a prefurnished apartment which was visually appealing. One peeve though was the cleaning service was sub par but it did not impact our stay at all. read more

This apartment has been so good for my roommate and me for the past 3 years. We are medical students at the school across the street (UT Health San Antonio). Though the appliances are a bit dated, The Vintage is certainly a luxury apartment and it's a quiet place to live and relax. There are beautiful palm trees and fountains onsite which make it feel like I'm at a resort. Neighbors are always walking their dogs within the complex and overall the place is very pet-friendly. I've gotten multiple compliments (and questions about rent) from people who are delivering food to me because they all want to know how someone gets to live here! By far, the best thing about the Vintage is the staff. I want to make a special shout-out to James & George, the maintenance staff. They are incredibly friendly, responsive, and understanding. We also love Mary in the management office! I think you get great value for your money living here. read more
