Renter beware. Management is not proactive in anything they do. They seem to purposely make themselves unapproachable to encourage you not to complain about issues so they can keep your deposit and charge you when you leave? What I do know for a fact is they ultimately refused my drs note for my emotional support animal and instead said they'd just pretend the animal does not exist. Ok, well then where is the hundreds of dollars for this pet that doesn't exist in my lease? ADA says fees cannot apply to ESA on a lease. When I provided the proper paperwork they demanded I have my doctor detail my disability so they could decide if I really needed an ESA or if my ESA qualified under these conditions. Completely violating my renter's rights, I moved on because it wasn't worth dealing with Amy. But when I was out getting enough food incase the winter storm Landon was going to be extra harsh I recieved an email from stone chase saying they were going to be taking ice prevention measures. Because of this message I put the big bag of salt back on the shelve and felt relieved that they were actually doing something. I didn't realize they were doing what they always do; lying. They simply left signs up lied about salting the stairs and sidewalks. Before they left for the day or two later my stairs were as iced over as they were in 2021. I had a medical emergency that cause me to call the non emergency 911 line and they asked if I could contact my Dr to ensure it was necessary to send to fire department to get me downstairs so I could save my life. My dr agreed that this is a medical emergency, but I just felt very guilty to have a fire department come out because of ice. If I recall correctly they normally deal with hotter problems. End solution was to over medicate at dr orders and sleep until the stairs thaw. Life at Stone Chase is awful. Here is the email residents recieved: Feb 2, 2022, 11:49 AM WE ASK THAT ALL RESIDENTS ADHERE TO THE FOLLOWING PRECAUTIONS: Please make sure the heat is left on and set no lower than 65 degrees. If you plan to be away, have someone check your home daily to make sure the heat is still on to prevent freezing.Please allow all of your water faucets to drip steadily 24 hours a day.Please keep all windows closed in your apartment unit.Be sure to open the cabinet doors under the kitchen sink and bathroom sink(s) to allow heat to get to the plumbing.For the Washer/Dryer, please follow these steps closely to prevent lines from freezing:Turn both the hot and cold water lines off.Wrap the Washer faucets with a towel or rag to help insulate.Be absolutely sure that your utility closet doors remain closed. Notify management at Stone Chase ASAP if you notice any water running from a building or from behind your walls. As an additional precaution, it is advisable to stay indoors during severe weather. If you must walk on icy, wet, or snowy sidewalks, you should wear shoes that have a good tread. Be aware that ice forms on steps and porches before it shows up on sidewalks.  Keep in mind that frost can also cause slippery surfaces. Our team is currently putting down de-icing pellets throughout the community on building stairs and walkways.  This does not guarantee that ice cannot form so please use extreme caution when coming and going from your home.  As of right now, we are unsure if our office will be open tomorrow and/or Friday.  However, should you have a maintenance emergency, please call 210.852.4000.  In the event our office is closed, we will be keeping contact with you via email with information as it becomes available with regards to any possible water outages. Again, we are being told that this storm will not be as severe as last year but, we still want to be sure we are taking all precautions to avoid any possible complications from this weather event.  As always, we appreciate your understanding.  Please stay safe and stay warm. This property is nice IF you do not have any issues in your apartment and IF your apartment is move in ready when told it would be and not a tenant still living in it the day of your move in. I moved here in November 2018 from Illinois and this was the case with me. Present day my ceiling has been leaking for 14 days straight. Yes maintenance came to look each day but to no avail, the issues had not been fixed. I wrote a letter to corporate and have not received a response, phone call nor text. I asked Amy in the leasing office for the property manager info and she did not provide it. I asked Amy to come look at my bathroom and she still has not. I'm of course concerned about mold growing in my ceiling, walls and floor but I'm told those chances are slim. Mold grows in wet/damp/humid places so yeah, the chances are greater! I keep getting the standard apologies they give when they mess up. Trash dumpster is ALWAYS overflowing to the point residents just have to put trash bags on the ground near the dumpster, the gate is broken and left open periodically. Dog poop in the back grassy area, and the list goes on. I will not be renewing in the next few months! read more

At first, this apartment was great. The front office was always very helpful and quick to respond. However, the area is trash. I lived on the first floor, and I can't count the number of times someone attempted to break in through the sliding door to the patio. Another occasion my own and my S/O vehicles were broken into at least twice. They stole both our gate clickers so now they've got access whenever they please. There was a growing crack in the wall, every time you looked at it, it was bigger than the last time. Water damage in the bathrooms. The mail station was a bit unsafe feeling as well. It's a small fenced in area with a heavy door that was very uneasy feeling as a woman especially when I have to check the mail alone. My most major problem with this place is they successfully told me I could not break my lease without giving them CLASSIFIED DEPLOYMENT ORDERS, and denied the memorandum I provided stating that I was deploying. They decided that I couldn't move out due to "convenience". Which is not up to them to legally decide. But I was tired of fighting and wanted out badly that I paid a $1200 buy out. Not military friendly if you ask me. They definitely need to do some research on military specific issues. read more

I really like this apartment complex. The move in process was easy. They utilize a website for maintenance request and for rent which is very convenient. The renovations that were done in the apartments are nice. Granite counters in kitchen and bathroom as well as nice tile flooring. My only complaint is with the noise in the bedroom at night from a train that is a couple miles away. I'm not sure if it is because my apartment faces that direction. Parking is plentiful and right by apartment. Overall good community. read more

I know that I won't be leaving stone Chase for quite some time. :) Full sized Washer and dryers are included in every home. Listen Up! I've lived at this place for almost 2 years because it's close to my career and a overall good location. First year was okay. But let me tell you about my second year here. For some reason the plumbing is absolutely terrible now. The pool was out of commission for a month. This place always smells like catpiss because of all these wild cats roaming around. Let me elaborate on the plumbing. My entire first floor apartment was flooded, and they told me it would take a few days to fix. Now today, at 0900 the water to the ENTIRE APARTMENT COMPLEX has been shut off almost 2 full days. This morning we went to speak with the manager. She seemed like she couldn't even manage her own life. Saying that all these people concerned about how there is absolutely no water, were HARASSING her! Ha! This lady obviously has no idea what harassment is. They sent out emails saying it would take less than a day to fix. So, I expected this morning to be able to shower, clean, and utilize the latrine. But, nope. We came to find out that the plumbers actually called it quits early yesterday, and the management team was fine with that. The plumbers were supposed to show up before 9am today, it's almost 930am and no plumbers. This place has turned into a joke. And the manager obviously doesn't care about the guests in her care. And don't ever raise your voice at my wife again just because you are "stressed" that you didn't solve the problem you said you were the night before. Let me reiterate. NO WATER FOR THE ENTIRE COMPLEX. Paying too much for this kind of service. read more

I have never lived in an apartment before and I have to say my first experience with Stone Chase is a great one. The staff are really friendly always waving and saying hello. I couldn't ask for a better spot for my apartment, I can park right outside my front door, the pool is right around the corner, the mail room is right out my front door, the dog park is on the other side of the complex but that's just means more exercise for Ella and I. I love that they provide poop bags and garbage cans in the dog park, even though hardly anyone uses them. I live in a 2Bd 2Bth apartment, it's very spacious and the closets in both bedrooms are perfect and great size rooms! The master bath could use a little more counter space where the vanity is but nothing a shelf can't fix. The kitchen is beautiful and so spacious and perfect for my cooking! Only wish for the kitchen is a garbage disposal, maybe in the future since they're still new! I love that there's a washer and dryer in unit makes it so much easier and I don't have to worry about leaving my laundry in the washer or dryer. Could use some shelving in washer dryer closet but that's something you could do yourself. I've never lived in Texas so I'm not sure how cold it gets but it's pretty cozy touch that there's a fireplace in every apartment! The complex is very conveniently located next to I-35, FSH, major restaurants, stores, high schools, churches, and not far from shopping! Other residents keep to themselves don't really talk unless you engage a conversation. This place is supper new and everything in the apartment is beautiful especially the pool area and I recommend anyone moving to the area to check out Stone Chase Apartments! Definitely worth it :) Only reasons for a 4 and not a 5 is because of the other residents. 1. People with dogs: People hardly pick up after their dogs and it drives me crazy especially since the complex provides bags and trash cans! It takes maybe 30 seconds for you to bag it up and throw it away!!!! And for the people who don't pick up after their dog outside of the dog park you're just being rude! That's like having a neighbors dog shit on your porch everyday - ANNOYING! And it's a health hazard to our pets. We don't like going to the bathroom when there's feces or urine on a toilet so what makes you think our dogs like to walk on it??? 2. People who use the pool: The gate doors around the pool don't have locks on them or they do and they aren't being used. Every week (I've only been here 3 weeks) there's at least one or two nights people are in the pool past 10pm (the time is it supposed to close) and the back of my apartment is the pool so if people are down there I can hear everything and at 130/2 am it doesn't make me a happy resident especially when my husband has to be up for PT at 4 in the morning. Then they leave their garbage everywhere when there's at least 3 trash cans in the pool area, toys in the pool, broken toys on the ground, cigaret buts everywhere, it's like people don't care at all. There's also a no pets allowed in pool area and for me I don't like bc my dog is very well behaved and she just laid there while I swam (before I read the no pets allowed rule) but the other day someone had their dog in there and all it did was bark the ENTIRE TIME it was in there, I would have complained but it was after office hours so no one was there. (The pool is beautiful though) read more

I have been here two years, and want to point out that Amy Moya (management)and Jeff Hahn (maintenance) are the best. They are both fast to respond to request. Customer Service is outstanding, you couldn't ask for a better team. Not sure what they pay them but they should be getting paid more. They go beyond job description to take of the residents when a request is made then follow up. I believe this team is what makes this community run so smooth. My husband and I really do enjoy living at this apartment complex. The staff has been great. The only issue I've had is that they haven't gotten back to us about our move in inspection checklist. I submitted quite a bit of issues upon arrival and they haven't been addressed. Other than that it's quiet, friendly, and close to everything! read more

The apartments are quiet and just outside the hood, which is nice. They are overpriced for the "fix ups" that were done on the place. They look nice online, but are not in many ways, "bugs,plumbing problems.falling apart" Upon moving in pieces of the cabinets fell off, and the "stained" cabinets were in fact painted with a brush, badly and they half painted the back of each drawer. The apartments are old, and at first glance, this does not seem to be the case, but after staying there it becomes very apparent. The water was cut off on a minimum of once every two weeks, mostly hours at a time. The maintenance is quick to come for emergencies, but anything else will not get done. I put in more than 3 requests for screens added to the windows and ended up moving out before this was ever accomplished. Upon moving out we assured the apartment was clean and took pictures of the entire place as I moved out before my lease for an emergency situation. They sent a letter back stating that ALL of the carpet had to be replaced and a few other completely bogus claims about the apartment being dirty or damaged. The manager was absolutely rude from the first day. I absolutely despised my experience here and hope that anyone with a brain can see that they are overpriced old junk. read more

the unit will look nice online and on paper but not really, low quality is the best description. you will share your unit with mosquitos, ants, spiders. dirty carpet when u moved in, you will need to rent a carpet cleaner from home depot, learn about plumbing, backed up sink = backed up dish washer even if u never used the dishwasher. Office staff is not at fault. these units are just old and tired. read more
