She had the most incredible vendors to work with (balloons, cake, entertainment, bartending, food, decor) and executed my vision PERFECTLY. Best of all - she handled everything the day of with swift and ease so that I could truly enjoy myself. Clara is an absolute delight to work with; supportive, engaging, hard working, thoughtful, easy to talk to and always listens to exactly what you want/need. Even as grown adults we felt like little kids back at day camp. Rock wall climbing, zip lines, peddle boats, bumper boats, fishing, basketball and tennis courts, swimming pool, mini golf, a mini Fenway Park wiffle ball stadium, kayaking, baseball fields, and my fave the awesome bumper cars among others! The place itself is huge, and the grounds are well maintained. The event staff on hand were terrific, and there was so much delicious food. Highly recommend this place for any company gathering. He was very communicative--even with the 13 hour time difference, I was able to coordinate with him easily. I had my husband be taken out of the house three hours before the party to set up... the balloon arch was delivered right on time. The photographer showed up half an hour earlier than the party. The magician I wanted to hire was booked somewhere else and I only found out a few days before, but the balloon sculpture artist Mark recommended instead was an absolute hit with the kids as well as the adults, which was a pleasant surprise. He made my husband the most outrageous birthday hat. Right when he was supposed to be done, one of the kids tripped and popped his balloons and got upset, and he stayed longer to make him (and a few other stragglers) more balloons. Truly kind. The photographer David was also really so helpful, friendly, and on it! He came early and helped with some of the set up... he was attentive and also very nice to talk to. Very natural (sometimes it's awkward when a photographer's in your face taking pictures but it wasn't awkward at all). We got a USB full of pictures right after the party! Dharmi is an extremely detail oriented planner who was always there at all hours via text message, email and phone call away to answer any of my questions and to provide me with the attention and assurance I needed to ensure everything would run smoothly and care free on the day of my wedding. My wedding day was absolutely perfect in every way and I could not have asked for anything more. She was amazing during the rehearsal the day before to get everyone in line and she's awesome with kids and got them (ages 3 and 5) to listen and understand their roles as ring bearer and flower girl. I highly recommend her to in trust her to guide and manage one of the most important days of your life!!

Dealt with Evenings of Elegance in planning my wedding (for day-of coordination)…read more Wedding planners are usually hired in order to make the bride's life less stressful; however, Evenings of Elegance only made my life more stressful! Not a good listener, not very strong vendor relationships, and not very experienced. She was the only one of my vendors that I had any issues with, and she was also the only vendor that was hired exclusively to provide the service of being helpful to the bride! She was very sweet at first, and gave a nice pitch, but then when it came down to providing services to her client (me), she fell short. She didn't listen very well so vendor recs were off the mark; she kept trying to pitch me additional services, even when she wasn't doing what she was hired for well, and I hated feeling like she was just trying to squeeze more $ out of me; and she made it clear to me that my wedding and my business were not important to her (ie by not reaching out to my venue to learn about its layout, by not providing me a sample itinerary when i asked for it, by refusing to meet before my event to go over details, etc.). Compared to the services my other friends got from their planners, Evenings of Elegance seemed more concerned with their own image than my bridal experience. If you are looking for a wedding planner, there are a lot of them out there so I would suggest you keep looking - and don't get caught up by the hard sell (which is the mistake that I made). If you are at all detail oriented, have hopes of hosting a classy and upscale event, and/or are looking for a planner that will support you and make your life easier, I would recommend looking elsewhere. This planner cares more about marketing and sales than she does about following through and providing proper client service or doing the right thing for her clients. Pricing is seemingly low at first (before add'l fees are tacked on) - but I guess you get what you pay for.

My taste had changed since our wedding was postponed over a year and she made every single change and stayed without our original budget. I wanted fairytale, but before I was doing more colors and then I decided I wanted a more ethereal feel, so we revamped EVERYTHING and she created exactly what I wanted in her studio. She created multiple centerpieces to choose from and we arranged everything in her place to exactly what I wanted. She did samples of the high and low centerpieces, my bouquet, the girls' bouquets, even the boutonnières and corsages. She also had all of the accompaniments, from the floating candles, all of the hurricane glass for down the aisle, etc. They do it all! She even was spray painting asparagus fern for me to go with my dusty blue and white color palette. Even her stands for the florals was gorgeous. For some pieces, like our ceremony arch, she constructed it all herself. She also moved pieces around from ceremony to reception so we didn't have to buy the same pieces twice. She also set up all of my homemade decor/signs/etc. and decorated them with florals to match. It was everything I ever wanted in wedding flowers, they truly felt en vogue. The flowers lasted SO LONG too, we had them for over a week in our house and our parents houses, and they were so stunning. They made sure everything had the proper water supply and was misted, especially because it was July so it was hot! The photos of the flowers speak for themself!
