However as this place is so huge you'll probably still find what you are looking for. Since I've lived in Oxford I've come here about a dozen or so times. We tend to try and stick to mid evening as the crowds die down a bit and they are not quite into their horrible restocking mode. Generally you can find fresh products and a wide selection of near everything (do not come to this Tescos if you are looking for home goods/ electronics/ etc). The prices as it is Tescos are decent. The staff are generally friendly as long as you're not getting the end of shift crowd. PROS: Large selection Good quantity of stock Price CONS: Gets ultra busy Leftover stock can be of bad quality Other side of the ring road.

This is known fairly widely as 'Big Tesco', to distinguish it from the Tesco on Cowley Road, and it…read morecertainly lives up to the name. It's got a huge range of items, although no adult clothing (other than underwear) or much in the way of electronics/media/toys, unlike even bigger stores. For groceries, though, it's got a lot to offer. Fruit and veg are of good quality and usually well-stocked. The deli and fresh fish counters offer a lot of choice, and they even have a large 'Polish food' section. They have two 'car trolleys' which amuse small (and big) kids greatly, and make the shopping trip easier with children who are too big for the trolley seats but too small to walk all the way around without whining. Staff are friendly and helpful, and offers on food are good value.

This is the mother of all Sainsbury's on the ring road and is great for blitzing a fortnightly or…read moreweekly shop. There's plenty of parking and cash machines outside, and inside is enormous by Oxford standards. As well as all the different food ranges (you get the whole lot here from Basics to Taste the Difference), there are some bits of clothing and essentials like umbrellas and household equipment and electronics. However, like most supermarkets, they're not experts in this area, and better deals can usually be found elsewhere if you shop around. I came in here looking for an umbrella, but they had sold out of their cheap ones and the others were quite pricey. I ended up getting one from a corner shop for £2.99. My favourite part of this Sainsbury's is the salad Pick'n'Mix. You select a plastic tub and fill it with pasta salad, potato salad, fried bread, cherry tomatoes, couscous, beansa whole variety of yummy salad goodies. You can cram a surprising amount into even the smaller tubs, then eat it for lunch with the plastic forks they provide, or take it home to accompany a meal later. Definitely a healthier alternative than fast food, and a darn sight cheaper too.

There are only a few of these around and I guess they aren't really much different from one…read moreanother. They do tend to be in fairly similar sorts of areas so I guess the customer here is expecting the same sort of stock. It's classic elegant and simple - in the right way. They do quite a big range of Habitat-esque products but for a slightly more up market and in the IKEA, disposable furniture ago, these items are built to last. Oka doesn't do the throwaway lamp or binable lamp stand. You know that magazine Country Living? I bet the editors there would like Oka products. I would imagine they patronize the same church with its soft beige pews, sparkling crystal glass of designer blood and gently upholstered priest with elegant detailing on the arms. It's up market and expensive and not totally to my taste but it's quality and it's very hard to find fault with anything.

Planned delivery was late one item was faulty and one item missing. OKA customer service not able to do anything apart from sympathise . I see from other comments that many customers have had the same issues - why is a company offering luxury products using such a rubbish delivery service - is your profit margin so narrow that you can't use a more effective courier!
