This is a dark and scruffy Oxfam indeed. But I have to say, it seems very popular. And that's why I drop my charity stuff in here as I feel they would have the best go at selling it.
They have quite an extensive space, and sell some furniture and also wedding and formal attire. But the main part of the shop is a cluttered and almost old-fashioned and cramped type of charity shop.
The worst bit is that the staff can be quite dour and miserable. I suppose we shouldn't criticise volunteers, but it'd be nice to have a big smile in return for taking things in or making a purchase. Rarely received in this branch.
Good in many ways, and the dinginess perhaps works for it, oddly enough, but come on, staff... Cheer up a bit! read more
