I purchased a new LG fridge from Lowe's, and pretty much since the day of installation, we noticed food on the left hand side of the fridge was freezing. After a few weeks of trying to figure out what happened, we contacted LG as the fridge was under warranty, and they set up an appointment with Action Appliance. There was a hiccup at the start with Action Appliance not showing up for their scheduled appointment between 8-noon, but that might have been a communication error between LG and Action Appliance. That's the only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5. Anyways, after I contacted them again at noon, they showed up within 30 minutes. The repairman took a look and said that there was probably an issue with the back of the unit, which holds the thermostat, etc. and he would replace it when the part came in. 5 days later when the part came in, the repairman set up an appointment, arrived on time, and completed the repair within 5 minutes. The fridge works fine now. The repairman was professional and courteous, and other than the original problem with no one showing up to the original appointment (again, which may or may not been LG's fault), I am very satisfied. read more

They just blew us off. Some very sloppy repair man came out to look at our refrigerator. Didn't call ahead of time, just showed up. Looked at the situation and kind of smugly said we could either repair it or get a new one. Couldn't have cared less. Promised to send us an estimate repairs that never came. I don't know. If a company treats a potential customer like that, they will treat actual customers the same way. Ditch these people. read more

Action Appliance - Wall - Appliances & Repair Near Me - Stuart, Florida

A little background. Stuart is our second home and we go back and forth all year. My wife went down with a friend and she called as soon as she was in the house. Said the fridge was off and of course all the food was spoiled. Being that I was in NC I started researching who could service us. Based on the reviews and Action Appliance being an authorized service business, I gave them a call just after they opened. I had to leave a message but less than 1/2 hour later I got a return call. They scheduled a service visit for the very next day! The service person showed up within the promised window and within a few minutes called me to let me know what the problem was. The appliance was fixed under an hour. I could not say enough good things about the office communicating with me the whole time and how courteous the service person was (mom said so as she was baby sitting the house). I would highly recommend Action Appliance if you have a need for service. Lastly, I read where someone complained about the $95 service charge, well I want to know if you work for free. I don't.... read more

Owner of a very unique 10-year old Sharp range/oven/microwave that was discontinued several years ago, even factory-authorized repair shops have walked away from occasional service requests. Action Appliance has stepped up to the plate and hit home runs on 3 separate occasions. To me, a service call includes 4 elements (bases). 1st base: Courteous, efficient, timely response 2nd base: Knowledgeable, professional, congenial service tech 3rd base: Excellent, reliable, durable repair Home run: Fair and reasonable service charge Lenny is an All-Star member of an excellent team. The first time, I was pleased. The second time, I was happy. The third time has convinced me to rely on Action Appliance exclusively. "As good as it gets!" read more

Terrible! I've been using them for years & they used to be very good but evidently had a change of ownership and lost their best technician. The cable that controls the dishwasher door from falling when being opened broke but the dishwasher worked perfectly. However it wouldn't work at all after the tech reassembled it incorrectly. He should have tested it before he left. I didn't think it'd be a problem to have him come right back but was told it'd be about a week when I called as they only wanted to make one trip and wanted to do it when they got the part to fix the falling door problem. Really! No dishwasher for a week, when it's their fault? They charge an up front fee of $95 & then leave you waiting. read more

Do not use Action Appliance based in Stuart, Fl as they are inept. Service man came, no diagnostic work followed up with extensive and expense work quote. Totally unprofessional company. Avoid them at all costs! read more

They installed a new freezer door on my refrigerator and the water line was not connected all the way so it leaks onto my floor and they are refusing to come back and fix it. Very poor business practices read more

In February a technician came to our house to evaluate the repairs needed on our freezer. After inspecting the problem he said when the parts needed for the repair he would call and make another appointment. Well, a few weeks later we received a check in the mail for $1,200 with a letter attached saying that our extended warranty contract had been paid off with no further responsibility. Never did hear back from Action Appliance (no action) to inquire if we still needed a repair to be performed. After watching a YouTube video I decided to take the freezer apart myself and fixed it. A big part of customer service is follow up. read more

I called Action Appliance for a repair on a Maytag dryer that sounded like it was grinding when it ran. The receptionist was pleasant and scheduled my appointment even though my schedule was hectic. The repairman came ON TIME (which is unusual in Florida) calling prior to his arrival. He quickly found the issue, replaced the part, and put everything back. The area where he had to work was small. The price was fair. i will use them for my appliance repairs. I would HIGHLY recommend this company. read more

I wouldn't even give them 1 star if I had the option. Terrible customer service. Scheduled an appointment with them through Lowes and they never showed up. Called to check and the "receptionist" said she had called and left a message to confirm the appointment with me (no messages on my voicemail). They didn't send anyone out because the appointment was never confirmed. So in the 6 days prior to our scheduled appointment she only attempted once (if they tried at all). She wasn't necessarily rude but very unprofessional. Cut me off numerous times while I was trying to talk to her and said there was nothing she could do about it and hung up on me. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone and definitely let Lowes know that they shouldn't use this company for repairs anymore. read more

Got an estimate for repairs on my refrigerator had two problems the estimate stated both problems was only going to fix one call them back to give me an estimate on the one and they said just minus the part and they refused to deduct any of the labor for the seconsentially they were telling me they were doing it for frech I know is not true I called to talk to the manager and he told me tough luck don't like it go somewhere else I would never use these people again. read more

The gentleman who came here was rude to say the least. You could tell he hated his job and we were the last job of the day, so he was ready to get home. Charged us $95, for service call and after doing minimal said when they come back for repair it could run $400 to $600 on labor alone. Part was under warranty due to 2 years old. Anyway we ended up calling maker of unit and they sent someone out for free. They also said it shouldn't be more than $300, to fix anyway. read more

We had to have this company service an LG product as they were the 'authorized service company' for LG. The technician Tim came to our home and replaced the compressor and never did a leak test which blew out the condenser and when he had to return after we called again he came back into our home with an attitude and blamed us for his poor workmanship. He told his company that we were to blame and they then refused to come back to correct their mistake. He did not replace the parts back into the refrigerator and the screws are now missing. I am amazed that a company would allow such horrific service. Now we are still without a refrigerator as we have to wait for another company to fix the original problem and the repercussions of this companies poor work. read more

DO NOT CALL THESE PEOPLE! Trust me when I tell you it's not worth the run around. $95 for a diagnosis - no problem. HOWEVER, when you misdiagnose and then you get stuck with a part that can't be returned, you think they would pony up to their error. NOPE. Not this place. Very poor customer service skills. I have everything in black and white too. Literally all texts and emails since they refuse to call their customer. Talk about pitiful. You would think you're dealing with children. So do yourself a favor and take a minute to read my review. Ask yourself before you call these people, how does these even happen? And I can assure you, you will thank me later! On March 2nd I contacted LG with regards to my fairly new washer machine that stopped working. (No power). I did all the troubleshooting wit them over the phone and of course ruled out anything else that could be no power related before they advised I need service. LG has a $125 service call however they also provided me with two local service providers in my area. I contacted both (One of which was Action Appliance) and I went ahead and gave Action appliance the job since they had the first available service date. (Which by the way, I gave them wide open availability - any day any time and still had to wait a week). Whatever. Anyway - after their service tech "diagnosed" they sent me an estimate for the computer board to be replaced. Unfortunately that is a part no longer under the LG manufacture warranty. No prob;em, it is what it is right? Well I did my own research because obviously if I can save even $20 these days that's exactly what a hard working person is going to do right? Try and save. Well after finding a company willing to order the part and come install which was going to end up saving me around $100 I decided to move forward with this other company. This company of course located the part based on model and serial numbers but they also had me confirm with Action Appliance the part number just to be sure. I have an email from Connie confirming the part number in which I needed to order. To my surprise after ordering the part and having this other company come out to install, turns out the computer board is NOT WHAT I NEED!!! They wrongfully diagnosed. And guess what?! They won't fess up to their own error and refuse to assist. They won't give me back my $95 I paid for a a diagnosis their tech couldn't even get right. They won't call me after I have requested a phone call repeatedly. Instead their tech and their owner Connie both choose to text and email their customer all kinds of excuses. Connie even acknowledges in a text to me that she "shouldn't have given me the part number for reasons like this." Like are you kidding me? So you screwed up and you know it but you still refuse to work with me? I am now stuck with an almost $200 part that can not be returned and I have paid them $95 for a diagnosis and the other company another service call to come and install the part that isn't what I need anyway. I have all the texts and emails to back up my complaint so I really hope they are petty enough to respond to this google review because I will happily upload everything to show the public what kind of clowns you people really are. On another note, between my husband and I, we know A LOT OF PEOPLE. From the Palm beaches all the way to the Treasure Coast. Rest assured NOBODY WE KNOW will be doing business with you. I also manager over 400 rentals and well, I know not not utilize your services. Toodles read more

Diagnosis of problem costs $95, not applied to the repair. They charged me $300 to replace the faulty part, which sells for less than $100. The part goes bad after six weeks and has to be replaced, but they charge another $95 to diagnose the faulty part they installed, and although they won't charge for the part itself, they will charge for the re-installation! What a ripoff! read more

I have used Action Appliance several times due to a malfunctioning ice maker in my poorly designed Samsung refrigerator. They have always been professional, courteous, and thorough in their work. The receptionist was very pleasant and the repairmen were very helpful in their efforts to work with Samsung to find a solution. I would highly recommend this company and wouldn't hesitate to use them again. read more

On April 1st we had a technician come to our RV to diagnose our washing machine. Which is stackable. We made an appointment for between 1&3 pm he showed up at 10:00am. Fred the owner was the technician that came out diagnosed the two parts needed to fix the machine. We were told he would get back to us with a price and the availability of the parts before 5:00pm. We never received a call back. We called at 4:00pm Monday and talked to Anthony he said someone would call back that day. No call back before end of day. We called them at 1:00pm Tuesday still not having got a call. Spoke to Anthony again gave us a price for parts and labor wanted payment then before ordering. When we insisted on availability of parts he put us on hold for 10 minutes at which time he told us parts were in stock at supplier. When asked how long to get the parts he said however long the mail takes. He had no idea how long or how it would arrive. I insisted on paying for parts and the labor when job was completed. He put me on hold again for another 10 minutes a woman came on the line said parts would be inThursday Would repair Friday between 12 and 3:00pm. Called them at 3:30!on Friday when they did not show up talked toAnthony again parts hadn't come in and we should never have been given an appointment. He had no response or apology as to why we weren't called. Told again we would be contacted when the parts arrived. The following Monday I went to their store I had to be let into a locked store told the parts were coming in the following day. Given another appointment Wednesday from 12-3:00 pm. Received a call Tuesday afternoon for Wednesday to confirm my appointment for am first thing. I protested we had given a pm appointment and it had to be pm The owner came on the line and said am or wait another week for an appointment. When I asked about good customer service and their lack there of Fred said it was an am appointment only at which point I acquiesced I then agreed. At 7:15am the morning of our appointment we received a text from Fred Telling us after the conversation the previous day would not be coming and refund our money. I recommend if you don't want to be lied to an accused of being a liar run from this company as fast as you can. They don't care about service not a priority. Oh yes I was told my husband Approved the early morning appointment time. I am not married. read more

In December of last year, Action Appliance diagnosed my LG refrigerator after it stopped working. They charged my card hundreds of dollars in parts and labor up front, and then damaged other parts in my refrigerator when they tried to repair it,. Action Appliance left me without a refrigerator for the entire month of December (over the Christmas and New Years holidays) while they closed their office for vacation, and with excuses about not having parts to repair it. This company took advantage of me (likely because of my age) by charging me excessive labor costs for repairs that were covered under warranty. It is unfortunate that LG actually still refers customers to Action Appliance for warranty repairs, considering that their own LG Technician has told me that 1/3 of his repair work is fixing Action Appliances botched repairs. Lastly, personnel from both the Better Business Bureau and the Florida Attorney General's Office (Seniors vs. Crime) have reached out to Action Appliance on my behalf to mediate (in consideration of my age) but Action Appliance's employees hung up on Investigators on both cases and refused to communicate further with them, leaving them to counsel me on the small claims process. So, please heed this warning, and use this company at your own peril. read more

Action Appliance does not rate even one star. They are terrible in customer service from the office personnel and terrible for repairs done by their technicians. They are a service provider for warranty work for Home Depot. Technician replaced a discharge hose on a LG dishwasher and failed to reconnect a water feed line. The result was a cycle of water under the cabinetry. Additionally we are getting error codes on the machine that we have not previously experienced. read more

I would never refer them again. We had them on our preferred vendor list at our condo and they are no longer on that list. Wouldn't even give them 1 star. Customer waited 4 weeks to fix his frig. It was working but making noise and tech Lenny said it should continue to work until the part came in. 2 days later it was not working at all, all food rotten and was tossed out. He has had no refrigeration all this time. 1) On the day they were due to come out, their office staff (Anthony) forgot to give the tech (Lenny) the gate code. So he was a NO SHOW, 2) Wanted payment up front before part was ordered, 3) Part came in on a Friday and due to be installed on a Tuesday. On Tuesday AM, they look at part and it was the wrong part. 3) Waited again and when part came in, it was only part of what was needed, now waiting again for the rest of the part. We asked several times to speak to the manager Fred and he has never tried to reach out to us about all these issues. We even asked for another service call to make sure nothing else was wrong and they refused to send someone out until all correct parts were in. Worse service ever. The store itself is a disgrace. Very cluttered and unorganized, papers everywhere, what a mess. 1 girl kneeling on floor with lap top on a box working, old coffee with bug in it sitting on top of front desk next to business cards. read more
