Staff were not particularly interested in engaging with us from the very beginning and it just got worse when we got out on the track. I told the guys running the karts that this was her first time but they just ignored me. Then they had a bunch of folks on the track with us that were clearly regulars, and who also hit me multiple times while we raced, despite that the video you watch before the race says that any contact between karts is strictly prohibited and will result in removal from the track. Guess they didn't happen to see any of those instances... Such a shame, too because this could have been a fun experience. If you are a novice to karting, don't come here! read more

Montreal's most famous bachelor party scene is only better when there are places like Action Commando Paintball around. It's a giant facility - where there is both a paintball arena and a giant go-kart track. In more or less words, it's the ultimate men's playground. The paintball scene is among the best I've seen. After opting for the adrenaline package ($60CAD per person), my group of 10 and I were given uniforms, masks, and semi-automatic paintball guns, 500 ball ammo, and our very own referee. A couple of tips: Wear clothes that are paint friendly and know the uniforms are really just coveralls, which are meant to be worn over the clothing (hence, no real changing area). It goes without saying, the venue is massive. It reminded me of an indoor tennis facility with all of the nets separating each section. Most of the "courts" are truly different paintball environments, which almost feels like being outside, except in my opinion, far better. Despite being littered with paintballs day in and day out, the place was surprisingly clean and didn't smell like a locker room. My group and I had a blast. Each of the fields had a different element to them and the fact there was no time limit was super nice. It is super easy to get trigger happy, so we got an extra 300 balls to keep the fun alive. Even though we were only 10 guys, I think 20 would've been ideal. And despite the fact we had such a fun time, the one thing that kept this place from being a five star was the fact we had such a tough time communicating with some of the staff. My initial reservation took almost a half an hour to do because the guy on the phone wasn't able to understand English too well. It might've been the same guy who was our ref, who sadly decided to revert to Quebecois French to explain the game ("capture the flag") and confusing 3 native French speakers (Belgium and France) in the process. It's a bad day when even the Frenchiest of folks aren't able to keep up. read more

It was my first time ever go karting(YES its not only Paintball!) and I have to say I really enjoyed the rush feeling and just racing. It's so easy to learn, and the excitement is just great. Just a few tips tho(as I had no idea how to get ready before it) -wear sports shoes, dont wear sandals or anything like that(in case you forget, they give you shoes tho so its perfect!) -don't carry a lot of valuable things, but even if you do you could put it in a locker for 1$ -don't be scared to go a bit fast but not too much, as then you start enjoying it a lot -time flies by! enjoy read more

Action 500 - Montreal was an absolute bear to deal with. Visiting from the United States, my friends and I prepared for a fun time of Karting and an Escape Room. After a 30-minute phone call to set up our reservation, we were presented with an unmentioned $5 per person membership fee. After hearing the absolutely absurd rates, we decided to cancel our reservation less than 5 minutes after getting off the call. Unfortunately, we were denied our $240 refund, which is another policy that is not mentioned on the company website. (No refunds, irregardless of the situation) After realizing that we were stuck with our plans, we arrived and prepared for our go-kart race. One 6-minute briefing video and a 10-minute, 70 km/h race later, the experience was finished. Absurdly overpriced for what is included. At least you get a letter-sized print out of your lap times. The escape room was actually quite interesting. Still pretty expensive, but definitely more worth it than the karting experience. In summary: Terrible customer service. Absent, horrid at best, descriptions of company policy on the website. Very underwhelming experience that will leave you pissed off and your wallet empty. 1/5 stars. We will NOT return. read more

I came here with a group of about 9 for a bachelor party. The shop owners kept talking about the a costume for the bachelor, but didn't say anything about one when we got there, but the length of the races made up for that. They let us go in early which fit our busy/limited schedule. It was fun for the price. The winners got medals and the service was polite. Most of the go karting places I've been to give you head socks, but this place gives you hair nets. I'd suggest bringing your own unless you want to wear 100 strangers sweat on your face and head to the next shower. read more

The racetrack is cool, prices are good and service is friendly. However, it is slow to even get registered and though we had a reservation scheduled and prepaid the day before, we still had to wait over 40 minutes to get in and had to ask repeatedly to get information (our wait times / info were not visible anywhere and were not communicated clearly at all). Also please get rid of the annoying air scare machine. We hate it and I'm sure your employees do too. read more

Fantastic! Action500 (Dorval) were very professional. We were 12 people. We enjoined the X-Cape rooms . The Karting was very well organized. The manager and staff took very good care and everyone enjoyed themselves. The Karts are electric and very fast. No GAS FUMES which is really nice. read more

KARTING: Came for a birthday party for kids (age 6) they told us it was totally age appropriate (we asked 3 different times!) and that they would take care of everything. First, It was NOT age appropriate, I would say 8-10 is about right. Second. They scheduled other groups in between our rounds (fine) except that we had all kinds of child care to do... about 1.5 hours worth of the 3 hours we had scheduled. Also fine, but not for that price! Furthermore we were not prepared because we were so multiply assured that they would be 100% on kid-duty. Third, the "training" video they showed the kids was NOT age appropriate. Nor was the "training" round really a training, They just put the kids in the cart and said go -- never mind that 6 year olds don't know the difference between an accelerator and a break pedal, this is a BASIC difference between grownups and kids and needs to be accounted for. All in all quite expensive for little service, and dangerous. read more

This place is run by people who have no idea what they are doing. We booked a "VIP" experience for a bachelor party and needless to say there was no VIP treatment or any of the things we were promised including a chicken suit for the bachelor. We were supposed to get 4 large pizzas and only got 3 and they were cold. The track assistants were clueless and had no idea the order of groups. We were only able to complete 2 of 3 races because the cars ran out of gas and then conveniently broke. Avoided this place if you have an event or a large group. Also the pictures on their website are misleading. Nothing went well or what we had planned we ended wasting 4 hours of our day for two races that lasted maybe 7 mins. Totally unprofessional no refunds for a service that wasn't provided. This place should be shut down and the karts donated to a place that knows what they are doing. They are stuck in 2002 and it shows. The cherry on top is that they refuse to give refunds. AVOID THIS PLACE. ***UPDATE*** If I could give something less than 1 star I would. They don't even deserve a star. I emailed their marketing manager, as per their response. As have others in our group, to make things worse even their "apology" is horrible. It has been over 2 weeks and no response from their leadership team. This place is a joke the owner and establishment are the opposite of professional. Honestly, their customer service and satisfaction is laughable. Clearly you can tell from all these reviews that this place could care less about your experience. This was one of the better indoor paintball places I've ever been to. Me and my group of friends had a blast, the service was great and the management was good all in all I recommend this to anyone who doesn't mind getting a little dirty while playing. For anyone who likes intense competition I highly suggest coming here. read more

Waited around over an hour after our scheduled start time before getting on the course, staff was not helpful or friendly. Each of the 10 minute races, at least one go kart would break down or have something wrong with it rendering it useless and having to stop or delay the race to change it out for that driver. Wish I could give this place 0 stars. Would not acknowledge a 1 PM reservation and had my bachelor party waiting around until 2:30, while letting people who showed up after us skip us in line. The 3 employees at the front desk were the most unhelpful people I have ever dealt with. They would not issue a refund for the wait. After finally giving up on the go kart experience (after a 1.5 hour wait), I asked for a refund and was told they cannot do that. Dangerous place for kids for paintball. If you don't have a private room they let adults shoot at kids. All five boys (ages 12 and 13) came back with huge welts and bruises. The adults didn't follow the rules either and shot at short range. When the kids complained to the management, they didn't care. Stay far away from paintball unless you want to get injured. KIDS BIRTHDAY PARTY - HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE - STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND - STAFF INEXPERIENCED WITH CHILDREN, PLACE DIRTY, UNRELIABLE, RUDE SERVICE, ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE AND STAFF WITH LACK OF CARE AND EMPATHY. I don't know where to start other than we had a horrible experience and as a health care provider for children, I would strongly suggest a different venue for children's birthday parties. Here are some of the reasons: (1) UNSAFE FOR KIDS .... as kids were doing laser quest in area besides bachelor party with paintball, staff asked all kids to gear up as if paint balling with masks ... however they did not have sufficient or appropriate clothing for kids 7 and 8 years of age thus required kids to dress in oversized clothing (causing them to trip over the oversized pants) and masks that kept falling off their faces (2) NOT CHILD FRIENDLY (indeed, CHILD SCARY) ...upon entering the play zone (with many masks falling off), several kids cried in fear after the staff failed to prepare them for what to expect and STAFF YELLED (specifically Omar) at the children as they entered the play area to comply with rules they never received (i.e. keep masks on at all times; yet masks couldn't stay on as too large for this age group) (3) FILTHY.... the party room and washrooms were DIRTY, indeed disgustingly unsanitary to point kids and adults felt uncomfortable even using the urinals and washing hands was more hazardous than not. (4) UNRELIABLE party planning ... the pizza (that we were told was mandatory to order through your company) arrived after the end of the party and staff claimed "not their problem". (5) POOR MANAGEMENT ... we asked to speak with a manger and were informed none present; only to learn one was indeed present at end of party. We were given name of SENIOR manager to call and provide feedback (Eric Labrecque) and despite email and multiple messages, no accountability to call back and at least hear our feedback read more

Bad experience. Unprofessional staff. I should rather say, horrible staff : immature and hardheaded. Overpriced laps that are very dirty and small. Simply, don't waste your money. There are better places to go to for Karting, don't get fooled by some positive reviews and their advertisement. There are two locations! We went to the one in Laval, which is a short drive on the highway from downtown montreal. Came here for a bachelor party on a Friday afternoon. There was a lot of down time between events (took about 2 hours to finish a go-karting package that was three fifteen minute races) because the place was so busy. The karts had good speed, and the staff were quick to help people who were stuck along the walls. The paintball area probably had too many large places to hide behind. I would personally prefer a few smaller obstacles to encourage movement and not just camping. The ground was also completely wet--it was like playing in a swamp, but I guess it's tough to maintain an indoor field. All said, we had a good time. read more

this place is huggeee!!! my boyfriend and i got there around noon for paintballing and it was just the two of us so we got the whole place for a 1 on 1. unfortunately, i bruise like a peach so i called it quits after getting hit 6 times (my bruises are still healing to this day lmao). another guy came in tho and they made the field smaller for them to play. we got 500 balls each and it cost us about 75 USD per person + unlimited play time! girls get chest armor too so woo for that. too bad i only got hit every where else T_T read more
