For someone who doesn't drive I am pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed this activity…read more The staff is very nice want to come in you give your name and because it's Covid they do check that you do have your vaccination passport. once you pay they give you a head cover that is worn under the helmets you can either keep your mask or you can take it off because the head cover they give you acts as a mask and as a barrier against the helmet. (You will look like a ninja with the black head cover - they give it for you to keep or toss after you're done). Once a group is ready they bring you into the side room for someone to give you instructions on the signals the the different flags and the meetings of each flag as well as instructing you how the pedals work. Again being that I was the only one who didn't have a license and I'm afraid to drive I was feeling really nervous and scared. They call your name and give you the number of which car you'll drive. As I started going the first her and I was a little wobbly but after the first laugh I let go and honestly it was a lot of fun it was exhilarating adrenaline going and just a good way to free any pent-up energy. I love this so much I'll end up going a second time and because it was so easy to maneuver with the right pedal which would generally be your gas pedal you only use that to go and you slowly lift your foot off the pedal to be able to slow down or to even break. You don't use the other pedal which is the brake pedal at all because the right pedal slows you down as you lift up your foot. I took one star off because of the pricing it's $25 for eight minutes which would give you 12 to 13 laps. But just thinking about $25 before tax for that little time is pretty expensive but I do understand the cost of the place the machines the cleaning the everything but overall it's just a little expensive. This was a activity that I really enjoyed with my significant other and I would have like to make it a monthly activity but because of the pricing it's not some thing that is sustainable to do every month. I definitely courage you to go in groups for birthdays friday activity it's definitely a lot of fun. For some people am I give them a sense of nausea or heartache because of how fast you turn on the curves and sometimes you get bumped into the walls but it is definitely worth at least one try. If driving in real life was exactly like driving at the go carts I would already have my license!

Because his car was an older model he was met with very cold attitude and laughed at; although his car is very well built and suited to this type of track-day racing. The staff were quite unprofessional. He suffered a mechanical issue and the staff acted like it never happened on a track-day ever before (usually mechanical issues are a common occurrence in racing). They asked him not to bring his car again and got laughed it even though his was one of the faster cars on the circuit that day. Moral of the story, if you do not fit the ''clique'' or have an expensive car or what's accepted as the norm for a track-day car, you will not be greeted warmly and or treated well. Very pretentious.

OK, so time for some honesty, I'm not a huge Car enthusiast (at least I wasn't). I know, I know, a…read moreguy whose mojo doesn't get going as soon as he sees smooth curves, candy apply red gloss and hears the purr of an engine akin to a very loud kitty. I'm sorry, but to me this all is kinda boring... and I think it stems mostly from the fact of likely never being able to afford an exotic car makes it unattainable so therefore I reason, why lust after one? Right... RIGHT? I always thought there was something wrong with me... a deficiency in what makes a guy a guy. That macho-machismo thrill, that need for speed, that male essence that can only be defined by Tim Allen grunting at the top of my lungs. Then my wonderful girlfriend bought me a pass for the iCar experience for my 30th birthday and i thought, well heck, this is kinda cool, I'm looking forward to this. So "race day" comes (last Friday), as the sun began to hang low in the sky over top of Woodbine racetrack, I stepped out of the comfort of my Jeep and into the front seat of a LAMBORGHINI GALLARDO LP560. As I entered the car my backside went closer to the ground than a back-up dancer in the music video for Get Low. At the same time, as I sank lower into my seat, I felt a tingle... it started low and from somewhere deep inside of me and gradually got bigger and bigger and moved to my stomach, down to my toes and up into my chest making my breath come out faster and my heart beat louder and louder into my ears... Just when this new testosterone rush was hitting a crescendo, my instructor, a hulk of a man, entered the vehicle and welcomed me to the iCar experience and told me I was about to have a blast. I think my testosterone levels hit an all new high and my beard and chest hair grew 3 inches each instantly, GRUNT GRUNT GRUNTTTT here we gooooooooooo! My first half lap was a tad cautious, (you tend to get like that when you're in control of a vehicle worth more than your home), but the car, I named her Alexis, sensed my apprehension and began to handle and adapt to me with such ease that I felt like I was born to drive her. Midway through the first lap I hit straight away and dropped the hammer like I've never done before, plastering my instructor and I to the seats like we were taking off in apollo 12. I hit the first pin turn with precision accuracy not even touching the break while still going over 100 km/h and then proceeded to drop the hammer again on the next straight away. My laps soon ended, as I had 2 included in the price, but because of some scheduling delays, the staff at iCar awarded me and extra lap. When I pulled back into the start area and parked my car, my instructor thanked me for a fabulous ride and even told me and again to my girlfriend waiting on the side line like a sexy race-car drivers wife, that I gave him his fastest laps of the day and was a natural behind the wheel. GUSH!!!!! It's been almost a week and driving my comfortable Jeep just isn't the same anymore. I miss the adrenaline rush like a heroin addict misses their drugs, now I find myself thinking of other ways that I can feed this speed craving. I think the only solution will be to buy one my own some day, so if you're looking for me, I'll be on my computer scanning autotrader for deals on used Lambos and Ferraris. VROOM VROOM!!!

Now what more can I say about this park other than it is very under appreciated and strikingly beautiful in it's own unique way! The rides here are what they are some of the coasters are nothing short of incredible as Goliath is one of the best hyper coasters in North America and Le Monster is also a very fun wooden coaster with a unique layout wit some really fun laterals that are sure to throw you out of your seat! The backdrop to this park is a huge bridge that connects two different parts of Montréal making for a beautiful sight anywhere in the park! The food here is super good for a Six Flags Park like some of the things I had here are better than anything I've had anywhere else in the chain which is a total plus as who doesn't like yummy park food when your paying that price for it! Overall this really is an amazing park with lots of awesome qualities and after hearing about that fireworks competition that they hold it's on my list to get back here at some point because that just sounds amazing so with that said are you when I see you again La Ronde!

The beauty and artistry of these pyrotechnics are some of the best I've seen. Especially the grand finale. You can buy the entry for the show inside La Ronde amusement park for about $CDN 65 or watch it for free at many points around the city.

We picked the game The wizard four and the book of black arts which is for 4-10 players and they recommend at least 8 people to do this room. Everyone gets a wand to start that is used to activate various different parts and items in the room. The game master is also part of the story and if you need any help or guidance you can do so by calling out the name of the character. I love that they integrate it into the game, all other escape rooms I've done you just get a walkie talkie. It was a great experience and moderately challenging. I recommend! *Slight spoilers ahead* I also loved that they had an actor be a part of the experience, it added a layer of theatricality that I haven't seen in other escape rooms. Usually the person who lets you in the room is dressed up or is part of the explanation of the room but rarely have I seen them be in the room later on as part of the story. The only criticisms I have about the rooms is that when we solved a puzzle or unlocked an area, it wasn't obvious where the change happened so we needed to be reminded to look around because we had accomplished something and there was a clue to pick up but there was no announcement so we never knew if it had worked or not. There was also a puzzle that was completely in the dark so it was necessary for me to use my phone which usually is a big no for escape rooms but it was truly too dark to see. We wasted maybe 10 minutes trying to find this last clue so I believe we could've solved the room a lot faster had we known. There is no timer in the room but you can always ask the game master to let you know how much time is left. We solved it with 8 minutes to spare!
