I myself grow more exuberant by the day at the growing slate of opportunities to secure work in our chosen field of endeavor right here in New England. You are receiving this notice b/c you have indicated a strong interest to me in attending the Free Actor's training workshop that is being offered at "A Quest Actor's Studio" by it's founder, Ms. Debra Crosby, on Tuesday, April 7th at 7pm. As your friend and fellow craftsperson, I can personally attest to the quality of her instruction/guidance and the effectiveness of her methods. I have attended her intro. class myself and have come away the richer for it. Feel free to review her website for a list of her qualifications; you'll find a wealth of information there. I've experienced firsthand the value of the techniques and exercises that are freely shared during her introductory session - no hard sell techniques are applied during or after the class. For any one of us that are serious about honing our skills in the craft of acting for film, stage and/or commercial work, this valuable and insightful instruction is a product that tends to sell itself. Obviously Ms. Crosby seeks to grow her student enrollment for her weekly classes; this, however, is a novel & generous way for her to offer substantive "test drives" to each of us as prospective regular students. I'm sure that the instructor/facilitator would be happy to s/w you about future enrollment after the free introductory class is completed - that's your for you to decide. Please reply to this message promptly to confirm that you intend to be a part of this great road trip to Salem, MA together with your fellow talented & aspiring New Hampshire actors this Tuesday evening. I am coordinating the carpooling; and I will need a reliable & accurate student headcount to relay to the instructor. I do hope you can and will make it to this class - I think you'll discover value and inspiration there as a performing artist. I know I did. Be well, be kind, do good work. ~ ERE

Her presentation was warm and inviting, memorable and empowering. I plan on making use of her suggestions on a daily basis and will sign up for more instruction the first chance I get.

The food is good, I've made plenty of good friends, and almost everything that I need (like shopping, food, essentials) is within walking distance for someone like me who isn't yet a car owner! The education I've received so far has been pretty exceptional considering my first year of college has been amongst the global COVID-19 pandemic, but the classes are awesome so far and I can't wait to see what my next three years at this school look like! So far, my only complaint is the confusion of the campus-bus service, known as the Viking Shuttle, and it's kinda unreliable schedule and clarity of routes and destinations. I'm never quite sure which bus I'm on, and where the stops are, since the bus drivers seem to be operating on a different schedule than what's on the website. In lieu of that, I would like to say that I knew this school was the right fit for me the second I first arrived on campus in the fall of 2019 for my campus tour! Also, there's a convenience store right beside my dorm hall that's perfect for buying groceries, lottery tickets, and more!

I was placed in peabody hall this year with no notice that there would be construction directly outside of my dorm for the ENTIRE year. As someone who works full time and usually until 12 am, getting woken up EVERY morning by drilling and beeping sucked. When I contacted housing and the RD of my building about moving dorms I was ghosted. I've gotten food poisoning from the dining hall over 4 times. Everytime I've stepped foot into marsh dining hall, there's been mice. The students here are inconsiderate and if you get asked to do a group project, be prepared to do the bulk of it. Faculty doesn't reach out and help with career guidance upon gradation- you get to figure it all out on your own! If you are just looking for a degree and no community or a miserable college experience Salem State is the place for you!
