Luann's hospitality was delightful and we felt welcomed from the on-set. The breakfast basket was well worth the extra fee as it offered a nice variety of items and we had the freedom to eat whenever we wanted to in the morning. Having our own kitchenette was a perk. The breakfast items were wonderful and the views of the waterfront were spectacular. There is a private full size swimming pool, kayak, canoe and other amenities for the whole family. Locate just three minutes from great dining and only about 15 minutes from St Michael's at a fraction of the price. I would highly recommend this place.

Pros: There are many more popular B&Bs and inns in town, but Point Breeze has several perks. We felt like we had really lucked out and ended up with the best choice! 1) Lovely waterfront location with a great view of the harbor and lighthouse. Most of the B&Bs in St. Michaels are right on the main drag and not on the water. I doubt any of the other places have such a great view! 2) Kayaks, canoe, and bikes available for guest use -- no extra cost! 3) You're free to laze about anywhere on the beautifully landscaped yard. 4) You can fish from the private dock, and the innkeeper will help you "chicken neck" for crabs, if you want. 5) Joan, the innkeeper, makes a mean omelette and awesome German pancakes! 6) Speaking of Joan, she's a sweetie! So wonderful to talk to! 7) Very quiet area. Not right in town, so you don't get all the road noise. Very peaceful. 8) Free soft drinks available any time. 9) Costs quite a bit less than most other places in town. 10) Everything was spotlessly clean and comfortable. 11) Wi-Fi for all! 12) If you have a family of 6 and 2 people don't mind twin beds, you could rent the whole house out. Cons (sort of): 1) This isn't a con for me, but I can see how it could be for other people: Point Breeze's guest rooms are not fancy. You feel like you're staying over with relatives. We liked it, though! 2) No TVs in the guest rooms. A small TV is available in the great room. We really didn't care, however. We weren't there to watch TV. 3) If you don't want to take a short walk or bike ride into town, you'd be better off staying in town. We enjoyed the walk in -- not far for us at all! 4) Not many rooms -- only 3. But if you want to stay someplace quiet, this shouldn't be a problem. 5) 2 of the rooms share a bathroom. Not a big deal if you are staying with family or close friends. If you are a couple, there is one room available with a private bath. 6) Bare bones amenities in the bathroom, but more than adequate and comfortable.

I know what hospitality is like and is all about. I've never been to a northern establishment that was up to par with kindness even if it is faked. Stay out of the kitchen!! Our first overnight visit to St. Michaels, a friend suggested this B&B for our stay. I sent email…read moreto inquire about reservations and got a call within an hour to talk through it and book. I suggest just calling vs trying to work it out over email...there's plenty to consider when renting here...which building, which room, etc. The website does a good job describing things but no substitute for talking with someone there who knows... Our Chesapeake Room was in the main building, second floor. This is an expansive room with romantic appeal. Street noise minimal, footsteps from the third floor not so much, it is what it is, didn't bother us. Large flat screen TV, jacuzzi tub (if that is your thing) and a shower w/o curtain, doors or wall, inside the jacuzzi. Keurig coffee machine worked well. Bed was comfy. Situated in the heart of the business district and just a couple of minutes walk to the harbor. We ate and drank on the water, Foxy's Harbor Grille, walked over to the Harbor Inn for a drink then finished at Ava's back on Talbot St. Morning breakfast was delicious. I had the sausage benny. The breakfast room was not open to the public and it is small. The Inn schedules your breakfast visit for this reason and I can imagine it might get crazy if it is open to the public at the same time. I don't how know how this is managed but it did not affect us. All in all a great visit. Just be reminded that the Inn has multiple buildings and room options. Do some research and then talk to them to sort out your preferences and expectations.
