It's a black box in the style of a music hall, squeezed in to a two bedroom colonial. I really enjoyed, but this may be a polarizing space for theatre-goers. Still, tickets for musicals run $15-22, and you can find deeper discounts online for most performances. Then learned they were a primarily reservation-based restaurant, BUT they were able to snag me a table...Yay! The restaurant was unusual in that it felt like a fake establishment, almost set up as a prop for a comedy skit. The server came over promptly and told me that all food arrived from outside, and they just heated things up, and that they may or may not have all things on the menu. Anyway, it all worked out, they had what I wanted, and it was all actually really good, and the concert was... AMAZING!!!

The venue is nestled in a wide expanse and there is plenty of parking. The building is gorgeious inside and out. You are able to order a meal ahead for dining before a show. I thought it would be chaos but it was well organized and the seatings timed in a way that you could have a leisurely meal. GLP is truly everything that is wonderful about community theater…read more The material I have had the privilege of seeing performed has ranged from Shakespeare (Macbeth, Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet) to musicals (Urinetown) to contemporary drama (Rabbit Hole). I've found every production to be exemplary. This is a group with limited technical resources, as compared to some larger and older theatres in the area. (Their performance space is the Parish Hall of the First Church in Marlborough, which has understandably limited infrastructure for hanging lighting instruments, backdrops, sound equipment, et cetera.) However, they have very much made this limitation into a strength, focusing on the actors' craft to create performances that are deeply captivating - perhaps even more so for the minimalism of the sets and lighting. The ticket prices (usually $15 for general admission, $12 for seniors) are more reasonable than some of the other (again, older and larger) community theaters in the area.

My most recent play was Misery and all I can say is WOW! they did an amazing job working with a small set to create a story that delivered a fantastic performance. It is a small theater but there are no bad seat in the house. They also have special offers for tickets that can make the experience more affordable. The variety of plays include many multicultural plays or including multicultural cast members. I applaud their commitment to diversity. Staff is super friendly and accommodating. Parking can be street parking or you can park at the church lot next door during performance nights.

Beautiful! Carole King... I saw this show twice in two…read moreweekends and I'd see it again! Olivia Palmer as Carole King was phenomenal, and Shad Hanley brought depth to Gerry's role. Martinez Napoleon, as the lead Drifter, had an absolutely amazing voice and stole every scene he was in. The entire cast was strong, the music was timeless, and the staff at Reagle were welcoming and professional. The show exceeded my expectations and was an unforgettable experience from start to finish!

The Reagle Theatre is a hidden gem a few miles out of downtown. I have been to the theater at least…read morea half a dozen times and every performance has been wonderful. For a small theater serving the greater Boston area they have fabulous performances. They put on some of the most historic plays, as well as some holiday plays and shows. It looks like the theater is in the back of a school however, the seating is somewhat comfortable.. I've actually been to a few of the opening day performances and once in a while, they have a spread in the front hallway where you can get to meet the performers and producers. This takes a very personal memorable experience. There is nothing like speaking to one of the actors right after the show.. parking is plentiful with a huge lot right outside the door. During intermission, they usually have concession set up with small items like ice cream, candy, and drinks. If you're into the theatre and want to see a well practice performance of a play that you like I think you'll be very happy if you came over to the Reagle. I definitely will attend many more performances here. FYI, all the seats are great so don't fret about taking one in the back. It's still not that far away from the stage. Oh, and let me just mention most of the performances I've been to there's a live orchestra in the pit right in front of the stage.. buy yourself a ticket. Have a great time.
