I visit this acme during my visits to YMCA in Upper main line. There's plenty of parking and shared with other shops the shop is well lit even in night times and decently crowded. They do have a nice selection of vegetables come out fruits for which I shop in this location. They do have quick grab hot food available for takeout. The store is maintained well, and the restrooms are clean. The staff is friendly and attentive. The checkout counters are always easy to navigate. Overall, this is a nice place to shop if you are in the area. read more

Apparently when you clip a digital coupon and place the item in your on-line shopping card, the discount does not apply if you go into the store to check out the promotional item at the store register. Just one additional reason to not shop at Acme. How stupid could they be. read more

I live in Devon, but I always shop at the Acme in Paoli because it is attractive, priced right, clean, and friendly. The Devon Acme still looks like the store my mother frequented in the 1950's. The Paoli Acme is bright and well stocked with a variety of good products. The meat department is especially good. read more

Need a little more diversity here. Sick and tired of the cashier Karens who fail to treat you with the basic civility of a hello and thank you (I am a paying patron you know) , failing to engage with you at all, essentially treating you like a nonperson. Could work for the older well heeled residents of the area but the region is actually now quite diverse and even those with some shade who live here are of some means and do expect at least the minimum of respect in their interactions. ACME, come on, you can do better. And for those who are not dissuaded by this post from patronizing this place, I would remind you again. This places is way more expensive than other supermarkets (Whole Foods excepted). It is prime location in a neighborhood known for its wealth so if you are budget conscious (or just don't like getting ripped off, even if you have the money to waste), I strongly recommend you shop elsewhere. read more

Wow! Swanky renovations in 2017 include a REAl in-store Starbucks (Yes, you can use your Starbucks app or card) and re-done ladies room (THANK YOU). Nice new floors in the deli and prepared food areas. Still a great spot to get some cheap sushi for lunch. I come in a few times each week on my way to work. read more

This is by far one of the better Acme's in this area. Very clean store, well stocked, large produce area. it is a very pleasant shopping experience. Why only 3 stars, it is because Acme, as a chain, is one of the HIGHEST priced stores around. in many cases prices are 30-50% higher than Giant, Genardi's and other competitors. So if you don't mind paying higher prices I would recommend this store. But if you're like me, price means more, thus the 3 stars. read more

This Acme is better than the other Acme's around here - but that's not saying much. They have fancied it up some. The main office is nearby so sometimes you see people in business attire with clip boards. When that happens customer service improves some - but not much over what other reviewers describe. read more

This store is one of the best shopping experiences in the area- the store is uber clean and well organized, the selection of groceries is great and the meats are always trimmed well and delicious (not paying for hidden fat or bones here) All the staff are polite and helpful with A special shout out to Mike Dolan, the store manager, for going above and beyond for personally delivering our patio set when it didn't fit in our SUV, on his own time! Just Amazing...today there are so many options to FoodShop but this Acme is fantastic. The bakery is top notch the seafood is fresh and amazing. Shopping here is Fun, esp on Holidays and Eagle game days..making overhead announcements about "hat alerts" in certain isles..very amusing and entertaining. I ONLY go in here because it's convenient (I go while my kids are at CCD). The attitude I get, week after week, when I don't bag my own groceries myself is inexcusable. This is by far about the worst place to purchase fruits and vegetables. They are often beyond the ripe state and are highly priced. Though, I am not a Whole Foods shopper their prices are comparative. The prices are about the same. The reason I am writing is the in store ads that often say two for a set price and are deceptive. The Paoli Acme is a disgrace in this social distancing time. The aisles are far too narrow and there are way too many set up displays blocking the aisles. It's impossible to keep a distance from other customers. Also, there should be disinfectant wipes available as you take a cart. As always, Wegmans is doing a far superior job and their prices are way lower. read more

Lunch time! I just bit into my sandwich made from lunch meat sliced and purchased a day ago from this Paoli Acme and its filled with plastic. And it's not just a small error - every piece of meat has plastic around the edge. The Deli worker who sliced my lunch meat never pulled it back far enough. Really?/! Thanks for my plastic sandwich. Nice to see one of your deli workers has no standards or pride in his/her job. read more

The store has been renovated and now has a Starbucks inside. Prices are much more competitive! I come here about once a month now.

My worst experience yet. I treat people with respect and expect the same in return. To go and receive an attitude from a supervisor and for her to actually have the audacity to tell me to get off my personal phone is outrageous. My call was not interrupting any of the transaction. I was Listening and responding to every question. I am not her employee for her to even think she can advise me to get off of my personal phone. Little did she know I was on hold and wasn't even having a conversation at the moment of being checked out. If she doesn't want to have a positive attitude at work she should find other employment as should some of the other workers as well. It's a shame. I used to make daily visits but I'll find somewhere else. read more

The Location is actually Paoli I have been shopping at this Acme for several years, I think I will be buying meats, especially chicken some where else. On Sunday 3/30/2014 I bought a Whole Lancaster Brand Chicken to make soup. When I took the insides out I was SCHOCKED by what I found. Attached to the Liver was an Green elongated 1 inch growth/tumor, part of the liver near the Green thing was also green. I took the chicken back to the store and showed it to the clerks, they couldn't believe it either. They of course gave me my money back. I sent an email to Acme/Lancaster Meats, I doubt I'll hear back from them. Its enough to make you go Vegan, who knows what we humans are ingesting. I would really like to know what the heck the thing is. Where can you buy REALLY free range hormone free chicken? read more

Service at this store has become worse. Although its been newly renovated and added a Starbucks and liquor sections, they've sacrificed customer convenience with these additions. They've removed the self-check counters to make space for these new additions which used to help reduce the wait times. But with this reduction, they've also reduced staffed check-out counters to the minimum. Last Fri, I had to wait more than 15 mins just to checkout. There were only 3 counters opened and the lines were ridiculously long with many customers verbally complaining. No action was even taken by store mgmt to help in this situation. Prices are also not competitive as others have posted. Wegmans is just up the road and a much better store in terms of freshness, quality and pricing. read more

This is your basic grocery store that charges high prices for food that is not of the highest quality. I go to the store for convenience to purchase some basic items when I am out. I wanted to spice up my salad this evening, so I decided to go here to buy a few avocados and possibly a vegetable. The ACME avocado price has to be the highest in the region, $2 per piece of medium sized fruit. We all have choices to make and whether you buy or not, is a personal decision. Some of the fruit was so over ripe I could not even conceive eating it if it was given away for free. It is obvious the produce manager does not know much about fruit. Guacamole is not made from rotten avocados! Is it possible that the store drives the employees not to get rid outdated produce in order to drive sales? Instead of buying from ACME, I went to Whole Foods and purchased several nice avocados for $1 a piece that were firm, but soft allowing me to make delicious guacamole. ACME is not worth the time to shop there, after this experience, I am very skeptical about all their food. I will drive the extra mile to shop at Whole Foods, where most of the produce is reasonble, and the quality is at leat three times greater than ACME read more
