I've had quite a few roofers knock on my door over the last several storm seasons and I had been…read morewaiting for some storm to make a new roof covered by my insurance.  Albert simplified the nuances of how the claim system works, answered all of my questions, and made me feel comfortable by walking me through all the processes. Not only did the insurance company reimburse my entire roof less the deductible, but Albert upgraded it into a more modern long-lasting shingle at no additional cost to me.   Albert also coordinated with solar panels removal, cleaning and replacement. And coordinated with Solatube (which I love) installing 3, and his roofer installing 1 Velux sun tunnel skylight (which I definitely don't love because it probably gives 20% of the Solatube light.) Some locked windows were left unlocked 3. Some shutters were originally closed and were left opened 4. Some lights were left on. 5. The homeowner hired Agassiz to landscape the backyard of this home and it truly looks beautiful. However, that is where the story takes a sharp turn south! Part of Agassiz's service is to winterize the irrigation system and then in the spring, to turn the system back on, while making sure it is working properly. When they turned the system on, they clearly did not check to see that all was well and we found a small lake in the backyard. We contacted the property manager, who in turn contacted them. They sent someone out, who did NOT check the problem in the backyard but said they fixed things and charged the owner a substantial amount of money. However, the water in the back continued to pool and the entire area was like a swamp. I once again contacted the property manager, who again called them and they sent another person out who stated it was fine and was about to leave until I insisted he come into the backyard and look at the problem. I showed him the excessive amount of water that would not turn off and how mushy the entire area was. He FINALLY checked and found something was stuck in a valve and the water had been running non-stop day and night for weeks. You can guess what is coming next......a $509 water bill. The owner has reimbursed us for the excessive bill but Agassiz not only didn't admit they were in any way negligent but sent an horrific email to the property manager blaming her!!!!!!! She has another client who has the same problem at their residence and Agassiz was once again the culprit. So what did they do, they told her they would not service any homes that she represented. WTF! We had initially scheduled an appointment with Agassiz to provide us a plan and a quote to do the landscaping for our new home. Needless to say, we cancelled the appointment, retained another landscaper, and I shared my reasoning with Agassiz for choosing not to use their company. Though they make things look "PRETTY" when they initially do the landscaping, there is absolutely the worst follow up service and zero accountability for their neglect and lack of follow through. BEWARE! They think they are in the catbird seat right now due to the current state of affairs within the service industry but this too shall pass and the bridges they are burning will likely never be able to be rebuilt.

What an awesome experience! My house needed to be re-roofed. I reached out to four roofers for…read moreestimates. For two of them I had to send weekly reminders that I wanted an estimate. Chris at High Elevation got me an estimate within a few days of my request. The fourth? No idea, he said he'd call me back in 20 minutes and I'm still waiting. Their price was very competitive and they scheduled the work for when it was convenient. Unfortunately, the weather didn't participate and we had to move it out two days. Not their fault and I'm glad they decided to be safe. On day 1 about 7 workers showed up and went at it. My house is 2,700 sq. ft. single story with a 2 car garage so there's a lot of roof. They put a trailer in the driveway and all I could see was roofing raining down all around the house. They had the old roof off and underlayment installed by the end of day 1. The new shingles showed up but the truck couldn't get up my driveway so they couldn't use the crane. So, they carried the shingles up a ladder - heavy but no complaints. They cleaned up everything before they left. On day 2 the same workers showed up on time and went to work. I was impressed with the attention to detail and at least one worker constantly picking up scrap and depositing it into the trailer. They didn't quite finish after day 2 and came back early the next morning to complete the roof and do a final clean up including going around the perimeter with a magnet to get any nails. My yard looked better after they were done than before they started the job. All in all, a great job by a crew of hardworking, knowledgeable professionals. Would definitely use them again and I highly recommend them.
