We walked around the store and they had really lovely things from local artists and vendors. Talking with the owner, we discovered she recently opened. She spoke to us about the various classes they are teaching there and they sounded delightful. I learned it is wise to contact Cowgill's by telephone directly. FTD subs out their work orders. My result on Valentines Day was frustrating. Did not get flowers I ordered. Got flower Order a day late. Received Seeds and Dirt to grow my own. I was scammed with extra fees when promised a discount on delivery fee. Lesson learned DO NOT Trust FTD. My efforts to contact Chicago FTD go no answer of telephone, higher price and no remedy from bank, FTC complaint and FTD. Cowgill's is a top-drawer business use them direct NOT FTD. The best part- I wasn't event concerned- I've been IN Flowers by Dick & Son and have met the staff that work there- ALL are friendly and want to do their very best to make the best arrangement they can. I've visited a number of flower shops in the past and they are more interested in turning and burning inventory than the actual finished product. It was easy to place the order online and pay directly on their site. Well, I ordered them a little too early because no one was home when they went to deliver (they were on their way home from the hospital). So they called me and let me know they couldn't leave them because it was below freezing but they left a door tag. Later they made contact with them and were able to deliver a beautiful arrangement.
