Their customer service is awful!! Do not order from them if you expect to be out of town within 3 months of ordering. I had ordered a few doors to test the look, I was unaware that I had to sign for the order and no notice of shipment was sent to me. When UPS left a final notice, none in between, I called and they told me to contact the company. Immediately I emailed and was met by the rudest email back from Dan about not dealing with undeliverable addresses, I get plenty of deliveries to my home, when asking for them to simply contact ups to hold the order where I live for me to get when I get home. I sent an email to inform them and a photo stating photos were taken after adjustments and that I was a retired general contractor fully capable of hanging and adjusting cabinet doors. I was not asking for replacements or refund as reading reviews I decided it was not worth the fight. I received a nasty email in return stating in capitals NOT warped and preceded to tell me I was wrong, doors were not warped I hadn't adjusted them, etc. even though you could not tell adjustments from photos. After reading some pretty bad reviews, I was very skeptical of this company, but since it was a small order and the price was unbeatable, I decided to take a chance. I received the complete order yesterday and all was perfect! The doors were to my exact dimensions and made with good wood, and they were packed very well. I have to admit it is very scary that it is not possible to speak to someone on the phone, however, Dan was very responsive via email. I placed my order on December 1, and received it in Miami on January 22. Not the 2 to 4 weeks advertised but the X-mas holidays might have been a factor? I think this southern California company takes online orders and has the doors made in Mexico, and they just distribute. I ordered replacement cabinet doors without first checking reviews online. The online form for customization was easy to use and directions on measuring straight forward. Price was good also. The website said the doors would ship within 2-4 weeks. They shipped right at the 4 week mark. There were in perfect condition and built exactly to spec. One improvement I would suggest would be sending out order status updates and the shipping confirmation number. I wouldn't have known that they were shipping on a certain date if I hadn't emailed to check the status of the order. I also didn't know they were arriving yesterday until I got home and they were on the porch since I didn't have a shipping confirmation number. read more

They do not respond to questions, they do not give any information as to actual ship dates and they most definitely do not deliver the order in the "2-4 weeks" quoted on their website. After no shipping notice or arrival, contact again and they say it shipped already. After another week, we told them we had received no shipping notice, we saw no packages in transit from USPS, FEDEX, or UPS and want a tracking number immediately. I was quoted 2-4 weeks on 20 or so doors. Only after constant contact on my end did I receive a first portion of my product after 12 weeks. After 93 days I still haven't received a call back. I ordered cabinet doors and hinges on December 26. Paid the invoice the following day. After 4 weeks I gave them a call. No response. Numerous phone calls followed by emails I finally received a tracking number on Mar. 4 for what was actually half of my order which I received on Mar. 11. The order was missing a few doors and all the hinges I'd ordered, rendering the whole shipment obsolete. At this point a few phone calls later I inquired about a refund for the items I hadn't received. I was told they don't do refunds and that the 2nd part of the shipment was coming soon. This was the first time I'd heard about a second shipment. Still, a few calls and emails later I got what I thought was a final tracking number. I was told I'd receive my hinges and final doors on Mar. 26, a full 3 months after my original order. However, it ended up just being 2 more doors without the hinges. I've called them at least 15 times and never received a call back. Only after emailing and calling would I receive a curt email back. When asking for a refund I received verbiage that stated simply "Please see your invoice." According to my invoice I was quoted 2-4 weeks. After filing a complaint with the BBB I was sent an email with a final tracking number for hinges. I then received a few other emails threatening legal action if I didn't close my BBB complaints. They kept promising me that they would be delivered "by monday, by wed, by fri" but would never send a tracking number (because they'd never shipped them). They replied "DO NOT THREATEN US" and nothing further. 8/24 the items showed up with an 8/20 ship date. On May 18th we placed an order for 13 MDF Shaker doors without any priming or pre-drilling for hinges. The delivery window offered was 4 to 6 weeks. Once we placed the oder there was complete silence from ACME. At 3 weeks we called for an update and were told to write. We wrote and received an email from Dan Miller saying the doors would ship from CA on June 16th - presuming ground transportation - we expected the doors around the June 21st. Nothing arrived. We wrote again this time asking for a carrier and tracking number. Dan said the doors would arrive on June 29th. Tonight (June 29th) I wrote Dan once again asking for an update, a tracking number, and a shipping company. I also said that he could not provide those and ensure the doors be here by Wednesday, I would prefer a refund. I just got an email from Dan saying, "Refunded. Good Luck." This of course leaves me with only one conclusion ACME is a scam. ACME is a sham of a company that cannot deliver on its commitments and will lead the customer on as long as the customer will let them. We are set to move 9 days from today. We received all doors from Acme Cabinet Doors. The quality of the doors is impecable. We had issues with shipment as they arrived a few weeks late and would have hoped they came with a bill of laden in only one shipment. The total order was for 50 doors and cabinet fronts. The items came in small packages in various shipments with no bill of laden. We recommend their work with a lot of margin in the schedule to make sure you do not have to dismiss the contractors for lack of product to work read more

Like other reviews here I found that they do not respond with factual information. They lied to me 4 times saying my product had shipped with delivery dates of 2/1, then 2/3 then we will check on it and then no date given! Only after I informed them that I was going to dispute the charge on my credit card did it magically ship that day! The fact that you can't actually talk to a person and have to wait for them to get around to emailing you back is a terrible way to service your customers! I surely hope that the order actually arrives in good condition and is made correctly because I know there is no way I will get any support from them if it is not. As far as quality goes, I dont have any complaints, product was as advertised. Shipping was also very well packaged, better than expected actually. Only complaints echos most others regarding timeline. The website mentions 4-6 weeks, I ordered 4/24 and received them 7/23. I sent 2 follow up emails on between and was given 2 different dates for shipment and when they would he received, both were not true at all. On Tuesday I emailed him again to ask if they had been shipped and for a tracking number. I did not receive a reply. I emailed him again on Wednesday, June 20 requesting the same information and added that if I did not get a response I would be disputing the charge. If you have plenty of time to wait for these doors, they are as advertised. We owned a cabinet shop for years and always communicated with our customers on progress and shipping information. If production was slow a quick email notification was sent. Never had complaints. Acme only responds when notified by the customer, not the other way around, which is a poor business practice. We have two more large kitchen's coming up and decided to test this company to see if we might use them for those jobs. We ordered 4 doors as a test. Ordered on October 1, 2017. After sending two emails, requesting a tracking number, we finally received the tracking number on November 20, 2017, and the doors arrived November 21,2017. That seemed reasonable so around the 10th I expected to see them and asked for a tracking number. There was no response. After 3 emails, I contacted PayPal to get involved. They weren't able to get in touch with them either and I was refunded mid-November. You would have thought they were sucked off the earth as there was no contact after the first email. I would email to get a status of my order and would wait a week with no response. I finally got to the point where I had to contact my credit card company to consider filing a claim. I notified acme of my plans and received an email right away. They then shipped half my order (without even telling me it was just half). Then 2 weeks later (after more emails with very little response I got the second half. The shipping plastic wrap stuck to the paint . The custom color I choose does not match the paint sample from Sherwin Williams at all. so I have to spend more time, money to get them repainted. The homeowner I was doing this for was very upset. I placed an order on acmecabinetdoors.com because they were nearly half the cost of other cabinet doors I had researched, and they had the exact doors I needed for a kitchen remodel. As soon as the order was placed, I dug a little deeper to find these negative reveiws. I was concerned I had bought myself into a world of headaches. Surprisingly, every expectation I had was met. From the product quality to service, acme fulfilled what I would expect to get for the price paid. Even when I contacted them saying I had to quickly replace one door due to my own error. I received the replacement door the next day after ordering it. The only reason I gave them 4 stars is that there is no way to contact them by phone or even get a call back. I can say that most of my emails to them were answered promptly. If they can fix this issue like they seem to have done with the rest of the operation, I would likely do business with them again. read more
