We recently decided to shop for a new sectional. We decided to shop Ashley. We were greeted immediately by our salesperson Bobby T. We don't like the hard sell and we advised Bobby what we were there for and that we wanted to look around. He allowed us space while continually checking in with us, answering our questions and making suggestions. We didn't make a purchase that day but promised him if we returned we would ask for him. We returned a couple of weeks later, waited for Bobby to assist us and made the purchase. One of our questions was in regard to negative reviews for Ashley customer service. Bobby suggested that if we had any problems to come back and follow up with him. He would personally handle for us. Dealing with customer service over the phone is most often a nightmare but with Bobby's reassurance we were confident in our choice to purchase at Ashely. Terrible investment. I bought this sectional may 2024. Started linting up balls 6 months in!! I shouldve called it out & asked about warranty at that time however i was grieving the loss of my husband and priorities were elsewhere. Now here Iam Sep 2025 and the customer service rep says there is nothing they can do as it is only a 1 year manufacture warranty. Purchased a couch 7/25. When delivered, section was broken. I understood, things happen..... it's currently 9/29 and I still haven't received the rest of the couch I've paid for! They keep scheduling deliveries...then again telling me the new piece is also "broken". I have never experienced this from ANY other furniture stores. A Fantastic Shopping Experience - Thanks to Keith Orgen & Jay Phillips Store Manager! My boyfriend and I stopped by just to browse for a new couch set, with a general idea of what we wanted to purchase in the next month or so. The first person to greet us was Keith Ogren, and luckily for us, he was the one who helped us throughout our entire visit. Keith was incredibly kind, patient, and knowledgeable--walking us through the entire store and pointing out sectionals that matched our style. While there were a few "no's" from me (personal taste!), he made the whole experience enjoyable and stress-free. If I'm not mistaken, we spent about two hours exploring our options, and thanks to Keith's great energy, honesty, and expertise, my boyfriend ended up making a big purchase today instead of waiting! A special shoutout to Jay Phillips, the store manager, who checked in with us to ensure we were having a great experience. He was supportive and kind--but to be honest, Keith had already covered everything! And Jay, I have to mention--my boyfriend swears that Frosty was a gift, but if it were me, I wouldn't have let it go! DO NOT GO HERE! Spent $8000 in one day and they cancelled half my order without notifying me. When I called in to ask them how much I would have to pay (for the items I did receive) they said told me since I was financed, just to pay part of what the creditor is charging me but I asked them to give me the amount I SHOULD be paying and the woman Sydney or Cindy told me "well do you know how to do math?", "I'm sure you can figure it out with a calculator", "I am refusing to tell you how much you have to pay". So if they can't tell me how much I owe, who can?? Ashley's has the worst customer service and unfortunately we don't have many selections in Stockton. The service was horrible. We didn't get a hello or greeted when we walked through the door. We were there at the sofa we wanted to order and no one came by to see if we needed help and we sat there for about 20'min. We saw 2 workers that we tried to flag down but they walked away as if they didn't hear us. I ended up ordering online and there was a glitch in their system. I ordered the 5 piece Omaha by Ashley and when I got my email confirmation they said it was the 4 piece. I called customer service and they were no help, I canceled everything. I am so beyond upset, I don't even know where to start. We had a wonderful customer service experience. I had my previous sofa set for 20 years, but it was finally time to get a new set. In November 2021, we purchased our new reclining set, and we loved it! Unfortunately, in December 2024, the frame snapped. Thankfully, we had elected to purchase the warranty. After fighting with the warranty for two months, we were authorized a full replacement. Excellent, right? Well, the only problem is that now my set has been discontinued. So, I need to purchase a new couch. Today, I went to Ashley to replace my set. I found a similar one that I like for about the same price, however, the warranty only covers the damaged part. So my options are: 1. Be happy with furniture that doesn't match. 2. Pay up the additional $1,000 for the matching loveseat. 3. Walk away from the refund, losing the credit and purchasing another set from another store that has a better reputation for standing behind their brand. We went in and bought a new set of couches about two weeks ago. Upon delivery everything was going fine until the people left and we noticed the couches had two different charging ports and the fabric color was a bit off. We called Ashley and they said a tech needed to come out and verify so they can be replaced . So they did. When I tried to call back and talk to the manager Eileen. The associate took my name and number down, but I never received a call back. I would give a ZERO if I could. First off, the couches went on back order for months! Then they finally get delivered so we move the old couches out, they unwrap them and find out they are the WRONG ONES. So then they are sent back and we have to wait another few months. Then we bought the warranty due to having animals and children. They stated that it covered many forms of damage and we decided to get it because of having the animals and children! Well fast forward and the electronic buttons to recline the seat don't work and the material on one of the cushions is worn down so bad! I called about warranty and it took a while but finally got installed just to find out it's backwards!! So the directions are wrong. My wife and I went in on April 2, 2021 to buy a sofa. When we first walked in, we were immediately met by a store employee named Rick. He told us if we needed anything to ask him, and he informed us of their 50% sale that was going on that weekend. Afterwards, my wife and I began looking around the store for our sofa. Rick kept popping up out of everywhere constantly asking if we needed help. It almost felt as if we were being spied on to make we didn't steal anything. The funny thing is when it came time to make our purchase Rick was gone. Nowhere to be found. I had to now hunt down an employee. Finally, I found the manager talking with an employee named Victoria. Victoria was helpful, and we purchased our sofa. She told us that we should get a call to set up a delivery date. The earliest it would be delivered would be between April 28th to May 2nd. We were ok with that since we got a great deal. The problem began when Victoria worked us after purchasing that their delivery people are known for forcing people to sign paperwork that everything is ok, without even having built anything. What? Why would you keep using thugs to deliver your furniture and make your customers uncomfortable? Then she told us, again after paying, that they have a no refund policy. She gave us our paperwork and a card with a number to reach her should we have questions. As I write this review, it's April 28, and we haven't received any call concerning when our sofa would be delivered. I called her up, only to find out our delivery is now expected to be May 21st or 22nd. They didn't even bother to call to let us know of these changes. Victoria stated the only she could do is have us come in and pick out another sofa that might be available sooner or she could refund us the $99 delivery charge. I told her a I want the delivery fee refunded. She then stated well, if I can get it delivered it to you sooner can we keep the delivery fee. No, you breached the contract. I want my delivery fee returned. This company is nothing but con artist who use thugs to deliver your furniture. Don't buy from here because they don't have a clue what customer service means. Bought this set back in a AUGUST 2020, said will be delivered Oct. Got another call will be in November. Now just got notified that it will be March of 2021. We received an automated message saying delivery would be in 30 minutes (this was at 10:30 am) meaning delivery would now be at 11 am -- hardly any notice. I HATE writing bad reviews but this Ashley Furniture store is doing some shady stuff. I went in and purchased a recliner and after I got home and did some more research I found that the price was $600 cheaper for the same recliner on Amazon sold by Ashley Furniture. So since it says they will price matched I gave my salesperson a call. I was told Ashley only price matches brick and mortar stores not online stores (didn't see this disclaimer anywhere but whatever). So I told them it was SOLD BY ASHLEY on Amazon for $600 cheaper and I confirmed with their manager that they would not even be able to price match their own price! WHAT? OK then refund me and I will buy on amazon! Seems lame (I really wanted the salesperson to get a commission but $600 savings is a BIG savings!). So They assured me they refunded my order I had just placed and it would take 5-7 days for refund to process....FAST FORWARD 10 days later and still no refund and now I have to pay interest on the purchase to my credit card company. I called the store and was told that it was processed but it was "Up to corporate office to approve". UMMMM no that is not how a refund works. You click refund and it takes a few days to post back to your account but I digress. They then told me the order in their system says VOIDED. I said correct but you haven't clicked the REFUND button I bet.....silence...."please hold"......They get back on line and ASSURE ME that my case has been escalated and it will go to corporate for approval. MINUTES LATER I get an email from corporate saying "We just received notification that you requested a refund and we are applying refund now. Please wait 5-7 business days to reflect on your account". I checked my statement and sure enough there is the pending refund (WITHIN MINUTES!). Then I got a call from Ashley stating that my refund has been processed. I called her out. I told her...no it is not complete...it JUST started and will take ANOTHER 5-7 days because you guys did NOT click REFUND the day I asked. I asked if she would just ADMIT that they messed up...it was so clear...she refused to admit it because she knew I was out of pocket on finance charges. I again asked her to just admit her mistake! We are all human after all and if they cant admit when they are wrong them I will have to write about my experience warning others. Still nope! I honestly feel they were PURPOSELY delaying the refund because in a few more days it would have past the refund window and they would have kept all my money ($1965 to be exact!). This is shady. Almost 2 months ago I received a rug from the Ashley store in Stockton and immediately called when I noticed the package was torn and had dirt inside of it as it was a white rug. Call customer service. They stated that they were making a claim. I had no idea what their policy was. Come to find out. I needed to have returned the rug to the store within 48 hours. They didn't tell me that I could have just done that now. At this point they are not willing to do anything. They're not willing to refund my money back or even send me another rug. I will never purchase anything at Ashley ever again or set foot in any of their stores as they were rude because I only wanted to purchase a rug on that particular day.
