Brenda did a fantastic job helping with layout planning, timeline creation, decor/floral ideas, coordinating with other vendors and making sure everything ran smoothly the day of. Even prior to the month of, she was already touring the venue with us and gave suggestions when I had any questions or concerns. She made sure to meet with / communicate through e-mail / text/ zoom in a timely manner to address any issues and coordinated smoothly with other vendors. Overall our special day went exceptionally well, exceeding my expectations. We were very grateful we had Brenda to help make sure everything went smoothly and did not worry about anything the day of. We had several meetings to ensure I was on the right path and checking off all the to do's. And the day of coordinator was perfect. She knew exactly what to do, never bothered me asking for anything. She kept us on schedule, she did all of the day of set up, coordinated with all my vendors and handled the tips. I was also so pleasantly surprised and thrilled when I came back on Sunday that she and her assistant had put everything away, all decor and staked the tables and chairs and put away linens. Not enough ice arrived and the bar was lacking some items and her assistant went to the store to grab everything. I am SO glad to have hired Cierra because I was fully present during my wedding day and can't imagine how differently and stressful the day would have been without her help. Best money spent!

The building was a printing press back in the day, so it's a bit of a maze but that's part of the charm. I've discovered some amazing local businesses. I recently went to their February artisan food fairs, and bought some delicious food products. They had a variety of food vendors: hot sauces, honey, dips, cookies, teas, and more. As for the craft fairs, respect jewelry, candles, cutting boards, and even a few food vendors. That's where I discovered Apisol, a woman-owned company based in the Peninsula that makes delicious sparkling honey beverages. Don't miss the vintage store on the first floor, which has really unique vintage products like postcards, buttons, posters, and more. There are so many fairs in the city, but the vendors here are ones that I haven't seen anywhere else. So check out their insta or their website for dates to their upcoming fairs.

I never heard of this place until a fellow Yelper brought this up to me and I said SFBox? I never heard or been in this location before and I am sure most of you never heard of this place either unless you search for history of the William Randolph Hearst printing press building so many years ago. The building was built in 1926 as a printing plant for the San Francisco Examiner. It is a nice mixed use building like a nice cozy maze to explore the nice layout and architecture of the old print shop. So upstairs about 2 floors and vendors are scattered so it's like a hunt for them, almost like a needle in haystack. Lol Well it's not that hard as you won't miss anyone. Too floor that where you will satisfy your sweet tooth . Yummy. The vendors that were there were a nice mix from tea, cheese, spices, India coffee , Turkish spreads, ice cream, giant cookies, healthy drinks, spreads, and I am sure you will find something you will enjoy. I don't normally buy stuff, but the honey , red beet, 2004 sweet land Bingdao $95 brick tea that is aged 21 years that can make 175 tea servings for $95, Il Fiorello basalmic vinegar was thick and smooth great texture and syrupy taste very captivating and Taste of Levant tahini and their chocolate jar of molasses was excellent and I had to buy them. Yummy in my tummy! Not sure if same vendors will be there again, so catch them the at your farmers market, festivals or next Eats event!

Anjali and Flora! What an incredible experience it was working with both of you! Hiring you for…read morepartial planning services for our wedding was the singular best decision we made throughout the planning process. Together we crafted the most beautiful wedding that we actually got to enjoy, fit our budget, and truly felt like us. From the beginning, Anjali was excited about helping our vision come to life and transparent about cost. She was upfront about full versus partial planning and constantly looking for ways to maximize our budget in the areas that mattered most to us. When you work with Anjali and Flora, you aren't getting a cookie cutter wedding. They truly care about who you are as a couple and help you show that through the fine details to make your wedding feel uniquely yours, which is exactly what we hoped for in our wedding planner. We loved how much you care about us as people and our well being throughout the planning process. You never hesitated to schedule meetings late in the evening to accommodate our busy schedules and were always showing up with excitement and energy when we hit roadblocks or lulls. Anjali, you are nothing short of incredible and literally had us in awe for most of the past year. We genuinely don't know how it is possible for one person to be so reliable, organized, transparent, communicative, creative and attentive to us while doing all the other amazing things you do for your other clients! You are an unparalleled enigma and we love you for it. Flora, you were such a gem of an addition to our team: always our cheerleader and always willing to hop on extra calls with us to knock out tasks when we hit those lulls and for that we are so grateful for you. Truly the testament of why you should hire Anjali and Flora is for how they easily find solutions when things go wrong. We had several vendors unexpectedly drop out a few months before the wedding and we were worried about having to find new vendors so close to our date. But Anjali and Flora immediately jumped into action, tapped into their network of vendors, and went out of their way to curate for us a list of available vendors who fit our budget and vision without us asking. They went so far as to pre-interview many of the vendors and go over contracts to ensure we got the most out of what we paid for. Because of their efforts, we secured vendors who were even more excited to work with us. Time and time again, Anjali and Flora's help extended far beyond their duties within our partial planning package. Then came our actual wedding weekend where we discovered the true secret of BehlEvents -- the white glove service. We had the dream team of Anjali, Flora, Anokhi, and Risha; together the four of them worked seamlessly to make not only us feel like pampered celebrities but also our guests. They are experienced problem solvers: you can count on them to sew on buttons for your guests or to DoorDash suspenders for the father of the bride's tux just an hour before the event. Special thank you's to Flora, Anokhi, and Risha for ensuring we were hydrated and fed through the whole weekend and for packing Liquid IV drinks for us to recover after each event, and to Anjali for doing constant under the radar problem-solving jiu-jitsu to ensure the whole weekend went smoothly. There truly is not a better wedding planning team out there and we are endlessly grateful to you all for giving us the wedding of our dreams. Thank you Anjali, Flora, and the BehlEvents Team!

Being based in Seattle and planning an Indian wedding with fusion multicultural elements in Los Angeles, reaching out to a Bay Area based wedding planning team felt like a leap of faith, but we couldn't have made a better decision. We began working with Behl 10 months before our August 2025 wedding, and Anjali's expertise immediately shifted wedding planning from utter chaos into organized process. The relief I felt after our first meeting was palpable, and my confidence in the team only grew as we saw the depth of knowledge and organization they would provide. Anjali made the planning process so seamless as she helped us put words to our ideas, guided us through vendor selection (with an incredible database full of vetted selections), and kept our planning timeline on track. While I was (literally) having nightmares about absurdly high decor quotes, Anjali was already prepared with a backup plan with different vendors and idea adjustments. We chose the partial planning package, but even our vendor communication felt well-supported through regular check-in meetings where she answered any and all of our questions. As our wedding went from fleeting ideas to a concrete concept, we were introduced to Risha. Her attention to detail and promptness were so crucial (and so so appreciated) as the chaos of the wedding day loomed closer. Risha took over all the vendor communication several weeks before the wedding and became an invaluable resource to us as we had last minute thoughts and touches for our day. What really stood out to us about the planning process was how both Risha and Anjali were so proactive with the fine details! Whether it be about how the timeline should be adjusted to include a snack break inbetween baraat and ceremony or how we could set up our welcome table with all of our desired elements, they both always had creative ideas and a solution for a problem (even if it hadn't happened yet). But however impressed we already were with the team, they truly blew us away on the actual day of. There wasn't a single moment throughout the entire ceremony and reception where my (now) husband and I were stressed or concerned about anything because the Behl coordination team took care of it all. I only got to see glimpses of them in full force because they were all covering so many duties with grace and professionalism (and incredible speed - one of my highlights of the day was watching Anjali sprint from one end of the venue to the other to manage traffic around the baraat processional). They made magic happen for us, our families, and our guests. When my saree blouse zipper broke as I was supposed to be getting ready, I didn't even have the time to be stressed about it because Anjali returned with the blouse fully fixed with a new zipper within 30 minutes. My bridal attendant, Riya, helped me switch between my wedding heels and crocs no less than 1000 times during the day (while ensuring I had my lip combo on as I hydrated). Risha not only acted as our personal bodyguard during our reception so we could eat a little bit of dinner, she also somehow procured a glass of mango lassi after it was done being served for my sister, who missed cocktail hour. We had so many guests note on how smooth the event was run and particularly how incredibly kind the entire team was throughout the day, and we couldn't agree more. Their special touches took our wedding from amazing to exquisitely marvelous. We would absolutely, wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone and everyone!

It was a total surprise, flawlessly planned and executed by the incredible team at Bash Please, and filled with exactly 40 of my favorite people. Yes, 40 people for 40 years -- how perfect is that? The setting was stunning. Bash Please somehow captured everything I love and turned it into an effortlessly beautiful, inviting, and joy-filled atmosphere. Every detail -- from the long communal tables to the coastal-inspired décor -- felt personal and thoughtful, like it was made just for me. Because it was. And the food? A crab feed feast that dreams are made of. Piles of fresh, buttery crab, warm sourdough, crisp salads, and all the fixings. The kind of meal that gets messy in the best way -- everyone cracking shells, passing platters, laughing, and making memories. It was communal, it was delicious, and it was so me. Champagne flowed, the conversations never stopped, and I felt completely surrounded by love. I genuinely can't think of a better way to ring in a new decade. Massive thanks to Bash Please for pulling off a night that was perfectly designed and truly unforgettable. I felt celebrated, cherished, and completely surprised -- and that's no easy feat. 10/10. Would turn 40 again.

There are so many amazing exhibits here but let me tell you about my favorite one. It was an exhibit in a gallery dedicated to explaining and demonstrating how AI works and how it can be used. We were asked to make a drawing of anything, anything at all. I drew a house and a cat. Then we were asked to pick a musical style -rock, hip-hop, blues, kiddie songs, techno or whatever. That was all it took for the machine to take off into cyberspace. The AI gears whirred away and out came a song combining our drawings and chosen musical genre. Who knew a rocking rock song about houses and cats could be so great? They have six galleries with hands-on kid friendly exhibits covering math, illusions, technology, electricity, magnetism, biology, cell structure, light and color, sound, and social science. There are demonstrations scheduled throughout the day in these galleries, on topics including magic, lasers, biology, botany, and weather. So, if you've ever dreamed about seeing a cow's eyeball get dissected, well,,,, you're in luck because a cow's peeper gets dissected five times a day for your viewing pleasure. The Exploratorium was jam packed with kids having the time of their life exploring the wonders of our world. This big kid had a blast as well.

First of all, Delancey Street's event manager is dynamite, and she handles everything from space rental to catering to audio/visual equipment to room set up. Among the variety of venues I could rent at their well-tended center on the Embarcadero boardwalk, I chose the spectacular Club Room. The photo on their web page shows only the balcony from the outside - wow!, you should see the view from the *inside* overlooking the San Francisco waterfront and the awesome west span of the Bay Bridge! My friends were floored by scenery as well as a most memorable sunset, with light reflecting off Yerba Buena Island. Our evening program was staffed by a host of gracious and friendly Delancey Street residents who greeted us at the gate and ushered guests up to the Club Room for the evening. The event coordinator had arranged the space so we could easily and comfortably navigate the flow of people picking up name tags, enjoying healthy cocktail food, ordering wine and beer at the bar, or visiting out on the balcony. When it was time for our formal program, the staff had set up a laptop projector and a large screen with a podium and microphone - all situated so that the guests could have clear views from seats around round tables across the room. For our party, we ordered the healthiest combination of cocktail food on the Delancey Street menu. It was delicious - and abundant. For dessert, we caved into the chocolate cake and gingerbread cake. :-) The Restaurant below had kindly agreed to make a few additional cakes for us even with only a couple day's notice, and I'm glad we did because it was so good that only a few pieces were left at the end! During our program, I had invited our event manager to say a few words about their residential center for people who have hit rock bottom and found a way to Delancey Street from a path that otherwise would have led to prison. The guests listened intently as she described their program for helping residents recover, take responsibility for their lives, learn three marketable job skills, and teach other residents around them. It was truly a teachable moment about human potential. People started to put the dots together - Oh, so you are the Delancey Street Movers, too! The spirited applause from the guests was deeply gratifying for the staff, and I was heartened to see friends approaching the residents working the party to ask them more about their experience. The Delancey Street Foundation supports itself through the many enterprises its residents operate like the movers, the Christmas tree sales, their restaurant - and the catering and space rental business. Though the party wasn't cheap to host, I don't think there is any place on the San Francisco waterfront with the same combination of easy access (BART, Muni, CalTrain, bike, and plenty of parking), healthy food prepared at a terrific restaurant, flexible and adaptive floor plans, ready A/V for music and slide shows, ample staff support, and purposeful profits - all for about $35/person for the whole evening, including tip, tax, drinks, equipment rental, staff, space, the works. When the program was over, some guests wanted to linger, so I was happy to be able to invite friends to simply join me for a drink at the Delancey Street Restaurant right down stairs - marvelous. I hope someday I get to do it all again, but in the meantime, I highly recommend taking advantage of this amazing venue and the remarkable people whose personal investment in the success of each event makes it all the more magical.
