Longer version: Our system had been making a strange grinding noise every time we turned on the heat, and we could never figure out where it was coming from. On top of that, it took forever for air to reach the upstairs. The company that originally installed our system came out several times but couldn't identify the problem. After so many visits with no real answers, I lost confidence in their work. I started looking for another HVAC company and kept seeing great reviews for AARD, so I decided to give them a call. Scheduling was quick and easy, and they even offered a free inspection, which was a nice bonus. To be honest, I was a little skeptical at first and expected a quick visit followed by a sales pitch. That wasn't the case at all. When Joshua came out, he was incredibly thorough and took the time to carefully diagnose the issue instead of rushing through the appointment. He explained what he was seeing, gave us multiple repair options, and even changed our air filter for us before leaving. The next day we received a very reasonable estimate with several options, and once we approved the work they scheduled us within a few days after confirming the parts. On the day of the repair, Allen was the technician who came out. What really impressed me was that instead of simply replacing the motor -- which we initially believed was the problem -- he took the time to listen to my concerns and re-evaluate everything. It turned out the issue wasn't the motor at all, but the burner and a few other components. Even better, Allen came up with a smarter and simpler solution for reducing our zones that required less work and actually saved us money. He also coordinated with his management team to get the necessary parts the same day so the repair could be completed properly. He took his time, tested everything thoroughly, and made sure the system was running perfectly before he left. Overall, I'm incredibly impressed with the level of care and professionalism from AARD. It wasn't just the technicians -- the management team and office staff were also excellent throughout the process. It's rare to find a company that is this responsive, honest, and focused on actually solving the problem rather than just selling a repair. When the repair guy told me there was no warranty on the work because my AC was so old, I knew it was time to stop throwing money at it and replace the whole thing. I started calling around and getting quotes from several HVAC companies. Surprisingly, the pricing was all pretty similar. The big difference was the equipment. A lot of the companies were quoting brands I either hadn't heard of or didn't have much confidence in. Evolution was the only company I spoke with that was using American Standard and really stood behind the quality of the equipment they were installing. That ultimately made the decision for me. The entire process with Evolution was professional and easy. They showed up, got to work, and had the full installation completed in about 5 to 6 hours. I was expecting the house to be without AC most of the day, but they got everything done much faster than I expected. We've had the new system running and love it. The first thing we noticed was how QUIET it is. Our old condenser was so loud that you always knew when it kicked on. With the new one, I sometimes have to actually listen for it to make sure it's running. Replacing an entire AC system is not exactly something anyone gets excited about spending money on, but if I had to do it, I'm glad I went with Evolution. Good equipment, professional installation, and no games with the pricing. Very happy with the decision.

We have a couple of visits left for the HERS inspection (along with Rebel Air staff) and the City inspection. Looking forward to a hopefully smooth closeout to this project. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I hate to leave this review, because everything had initially gone very well with our project. We spent well over $20k to do ductwork, put in a new HVAC system in and add a mini split. The initial visit with Johnny was wonderful and he did a great job explaining the work and provided a competitive quote compared the other estimates we received. He also provided great recommendations on additional registers/vents to balance out our airflow. Those were installed, but instead of the additional vent he originally suggested in our west-facing living room, one was added in the kitchen, making the kitchen very cold but the living room very warm. The work took longer than the original 5 days planned (about 7-8 days), but they did a great job cleaning up after. This was in March 2026. It is now July 2026. During the initial estimate, Johnny had indicated that they were happy to come by to adjust dampers as needed, and Vincent was very helpful with that although advised that we need to rotate the TDuct feeding into the kitchen/living room to better balance the airflow. The work wasn't done correctly to begin with, but we are ok with that solution if it helps the situation. When the HERS inspectors came to help finalize the City permit in April, they noted that none of the caulking was done. This morning we had an appointment from 8-10am to do the caulking and rotate the TDuct that I am taking time off of work to do. I called in past 9am to get a status update but I'm told a representative (Edwin) knocked and called but left when no one answered. I was in the back doing a bit of yardwork with my phone on me - several calls, including spam came in, but no voicemails. No videos from our doorbell or cameras out front show anyone coming to the door or up the walkway. I have texted Andrea to get a status update or reschedule and am waiting to hear back. Given that the initial interaction was positive, I hope that this is a fluke and a dropped ball with the miscommunication this morning and not a lack of interest on Rebel Air's part since they have already been fully paid. I hope to finalize this project soon and finish the permit with the City.

They sent another company, I didn't get any "pre-paid" service but was quoted $3,300+ to fix it. I was graciously offered a short term fix for $1,000+ and charged $89.00 for coming out. Bait & switch, I'll get my heater fixed by another company.

The unit is amazing, and the level of service they provided was exceptional. The team was professional, gave us a great price, and also serviced our other AC while they were here. 2,000+ I had Service champions come out to do a free…read moreinspection of the air-conditioning unit. I was told I needed the $12,000 worth of free doing my ductwork. I did that. The day before they were going to do all that work I had the free plumbing inspection where I was told I would need to do $18,000 worth of free Plumbing. I asked for the hot water tank to be flushed and a snake to be run in the kitchen. Neither of those things happened, I guess because I wasn't willing to spend $18,000 plus the 12,000 within a week. When I called to say well, I guess I need to cancel the air-conditioning over the plumbing. I was told that wasn't necessary. When I called to cancel the monthly service, I was told oh well when the guys come out for the heating inspection, will put in the note that the owner doesn't want to know if there's any problems with her issues. Then why would I have a service. The people that came were very friendly, sales people definitely like to talk and tell you everything that you really need to know I felt the Plumbing person was building up to the large bill The two guys that came to install the ducks in the attic were amazing. While the sales people wanted to put additional vents in the house, I was told it was overkill. And not necessary. Yes, the air conditioner is working and feeling much cooler. I'm not sure if it was worth $12,000 that I had to take out of savings. I would not use Service champions for Plumbing or any other service.
