Suzanne is detailed, quick to respond (even on the weekend, I found!), and carried us along in the process. We were able to schedule the appointment in perfect timing for our inspection period. Brian is thorough, knows codes exceptionally well, and is willing (albeit at a respectful distance during COVID) to take you through his inspection step-by-step, answer questions, and offer advice within reasonable parameters. The process prior to the inspection outlines the stipulations of the inspection, what is possible and what is not possible (such as when accessing a sealed attic, which is not possible if it is sealed). The report that Brain develops makes him stand out from other home inspectors. It is comprised of labeled photos, with digital markups, and many, many written pages on issues that came up during the inspection, details on areas where he was not able to provide a full inspection (such as invading by cutting into a wall), and plenty of details on how to proceed once (and if) you become the homeowner. That, and the massive 300-page book he (might!) give you on how to operate your home from top to bottom, makes his service very worthwhile. We are also glad we ordered the Radon test, as the results showed us we need to act on it when we move in! Overall the inspection has given us great confidence in making a purchase on our home. In the past couple of months and before meeting Jeff, we got the opinion of a couple of remediation/mold inspectors. They were very unclear with their answers. We even had one say they would do the testing after another company (whom they recommended) took care of the "possible" mold issues. We were utterly confused and felt violated by the very shady behavior we had seen so far. When I called Jeff, he was patient and took the time to listen while I explained to him our situation (possible moisture and/or mold in basement), he immediately came over to check on the issue. He diagnosed the problem we were having by doing some tests for moisture/mold. He called me while he was at my home, I was out of state at that time, and let me know what he had found. He then followed up with a written statement a few days later. We had absolutely NO moisture and NO mold! We would recommend Jeff in a heartbeat. Joe inspected our prospective home before purchase on 4/14/17. Joe is a really 'nice guy' but I…read morequestion his thoroughness and accuracy. I gave him the benefit of doubt when he fell through the ceiling of the garage attic. I assumed thoroughness from the amount of time (almost 3 hours) he spent on inspection and explanation. However, upon review of his Inspection Report and eventually moving into newly purchased home, multiple issues were noted. The inspection report listed an initial statement of "My view was limited because of the snow cover. There were various components on the exterior that were not visible due to snow cover, such as grading of the land, landscaping, walkways, driveways, etc." This is false. 4/14/17 was a surprisingly warm day for that time of year and the snow had been long gone, replaced by green grass. My wife and I arrived in shorts and t-shirts! Next, the inspection report stated that "The basement was completely finished. The concealed components could not be inspected, such as the basement floor, foundation walls, floor structure, etc." This is false. The basement is half finished and the other half is poured concrete slab and foundation walls. He even commented on Fiberglass insulation needing to be upgraded around rim if this area, yet "it's completely finished." During the final walk through I noticed light in garage attic and found a gap between shingles and interior attic that fingers could pass through. When I contacted Joe about this and any guidance his response included "Of course we knew there'd be gaps." Yet it wasn't noticed or included in inspection visit or report. Most importantly, the report stated that "There were no visible signs of moisture in the basement." However, shortly after purchasing and moving in we noticed water pooling in basement after rainfall. This brought our attention to other water stained areas in basement. Further, it led us to discover a vertical crack on the interior/exterior of poured concrete foundation wall that was letting in water. A closer look outside and sure enough a vertical crack about 1/8th - 3/16th inch wide. Now my wife and I are by no means home inspectors. That's why we put our faith in Joe as a licensed inspector. But, how are we able to notice these things and he is not. I'm pretty sure an inspector is trained to have a keen eye for foundation and water concerns. Now we own the home, had water enter basement for second time and are awaiting estimate/inspection from basement/foundation specialist which is 2-3 weeks out. It might be worth taking a chance and your money with someone else who doesn't have this in their history with customers.

On Saturday for what ever reason my sons cat did not trip cause the overhead door to reverse when it waked through the invisible beam, the garage door unfortunately came down & killed the cat. If Weber would have done the job he was hired to do none of this would have happened. Its obvious Weber only does inspections with his ego vs his eyes & brain. Absolutely the worst report I have ever read. Not only that he failed to mention anything about a damaged kitchen ceiling, a rotted trim board outside & a missing down spout. It was not my choice to hire him, I would avoid him at all cost. His inspections are incomplete. I confronted him about his poor inspection & the response I got from him was "Interesting opinions. I stand by my report, what I have done and written based on 30 years experience and over 15000 home inspections learning what the typical client needs and how to say what they need to hear. " Kinda scary to think he inspects the way he does & only lets the clients know what he thinks they need to hear.
