The travel group had excellent shore excursions. In Montego Bay, we took a party boat from the port to Doctor's Cove. We had several hours of fun on the beach and in the water. The party boat then took us to Margaritaville and then back to the port. The ride itself was a lot of fun. As we looked at the Jamaican shore line the boat staff taught us some dance "routines" to popular songs. The "routines" were probably appropriate for 1/10th of the passengers, but everyone had a great time. In Cozumel we had a private party at Mr. Sanchos. The location, food, and people were all perfect. On board the ship there was the quinceanaras ball which was beautiful to watch and a lot of fun to attend the reception. There were also other private parties on the ship and everyone was always having a great time. I highly recommend this travel agency/tour group. After a lot of back-and-forth, I had no choice but to accept the new flight schedule. The day of the trip went fine until we arrived in Punta Cana and our transport was nowhere to be found; after I made a scene, they finally put us on another bus. Upon reaching the hotel, we were shocked to discover we didn't have a room until the following day--it turned out that while they had changed our flight dates, they never updated the hotel reservation. After that ordeal, they sorted things out with the hotel, but we had to leave our passports with them for three days while they resolved the issue with that wretched place. On top of that, the room was located way out in the middle of nowhere; there was a horrible mosquito net, cockroaches, and the toilet was practically loose. Well, if you want to take the risk of traveling with this agency, that's up to you, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

The arrangements were poorly coordinated, and it became obvious that no one took the time to ensure our reservations matched what had been promised. Traveling with children, senior family members, and a blind parent requires careful planning and attention to detail. Risa Travel failed to provide either. The lack of concern and accountability was incredibly disappointing. Rather than feeling supported, we felt completely abandoned when issues arose. This trip represented months of planning and a significant financial investment. Instead of creating wonderful memories for my son's special birthday, we were left frustrated, disappointed, and overwhelmed by problems that could have easily been prevented with competent planning and honest communication. A travel agency is supposed to reduce stress--not create it. Sadly, Risa Travel did exactly the opposite.
