After waiting over an hour in the very narrow breakdown lane I found out that AAA had given Maine Towing the incorrect information. At about that time Mary called me from Maine Towing. She was horrified that we had been on that dangerous part of 295 and she had one of the drivers called out immediately to come to our aide. When I got home, I received a call from Mary just checking in to make sure I was home safely. That personal touch is what makes, for me, an Excellent Business and one that deserves many customers. Michael was friendly concerned about us being out in the cold, loaded the car in minutes and took it to the nearest garage. He then transported us home which was titslly unexpected. The fact that he didn't do towing didn't stop him from trying to help. Not only did he suggest a tow company that might be available but was very kind and continued to try to troubleshoot the issue with me in hopes we could at least get it home. If he was this awesome with someone who reached out about services he didnt offer, I can only imagine he would be nothing short of a total lifesaver for the services he does! Not only did I get stuck but I got stuck stuck . After swallowing my pride I called for a tow. A very nice man named Matt showed up to save the day. He was very nice and even showed my son the ins and out of the tow(my son loved this!!). Matt got us out and went on his way after assuring we were safely back on the road. We told him we can bring our car to our neighbors in Auburn to have it towed and the guy on the phone was extremely rude and then told us he suddenly became unavailable for the day. What an A**!. I called another towing company and was quoted half the price. I explained I'm on the Auburn/ Turner line and that I would bring my car next door to have it towed and he said no problem at all. Very bad experiance. My car was towed by this garage's towing service. Openly admit that I wasnt…read morebeing easy to deal with when they told me it was cash only to get my car out of impound in person, but not when I called them asking about the car in the first place. After getting in my face and making statements such as "if I were 10 years younger you wouldn't be talking right now" and "don't f**k with me I'm in a bad mood today" the owner of the company accompanied me to check my car for damage. We were met out back by two other employees who were there as enforcers. I pointed out damage I thought they had caused to my vehicle, and they accused me of trying to get a freebie. When I went to leave, the owner of the store stepped between me and my car and closed the door to my vehicile preventing me from leaving. He said, "don't be a smartass, I have two people here who saw you take a swing at me, and there is noone around to help you". I did not take a swing at him, or make any threats, I was honestly just trying to leave when the owner of the store treatened to physically harm me under the false cover of his employees. Stay away from this garage, the owner is insane and the employees are mobsters. F rating overall experiance.
