We went in for salt blocks but managed to spend an hour just browsing the aisles. They sell a little bit of everything in Ace, which is why I love them so much. Whether you need a Big Green Egg, a Yeti, or canning jars, you can find it at Ace. They had 5 or 6 varieties of apples for sale that you could buy by the pound. I had never seen that in an Ace but they smelled great and so we had to buy some. There is a black cat named Baby that wanders around the store that also adds charm to a small-town hardware plus misc. store. We found it asleep on the deer corn on our visit.

Why? Because you get one on one help even when its with the littlest of things such as the needing the right screws. This is important to me especially when I'm in a hurry. Chevy Chase came through for me. There is plenty of off street parking in the back plus a back door for customers. The inside of the store seems huge but its hard to tell since the aisles are narrow and it looks like its two buildings put together inside. The rows of aisles is endless it seems. I got there just before closing and did not have time to browse the whole store. Staff was super friendly and extra helpful. I highly recommend this store for your home maintenance needs.

Paint, nails, cookware, cleaning supplies, tools, keys, and many odd and end items. The guys that work here are great. They strive to assist people any way they can and do it with a huge smile. They also still wear the old school True Value Aprons like they did back in the old days. Entering this specific store is like you went back into time when things were more simpler. I love it. They write everything down on a carbon copy receipt and tally it all up on a hand calculator. This kind of store don't seem to exist any more. Lowe's is also the only home improvement store (I think) in Bourbon/Harrison/Scott county so our options are limited. Lowe's is where it's at for screws, tools, and wood. Lowe's delivery is third party outsourcing and will be your nightmare…read more Just do a quick internet search, read reviews and you'll find a systemic dysfunctional system that leaves you in a financial mess. Placed a delivery order, paid for it, scheduled a date and time for delivery 10 days out. The day before delivery, Lowe's gave me a time range for delivery as scheduled. I had to cancel commitments to receive delivery, since Lowe's requires I be there when they arrive. On the day of delivery, Lowe's canceled the delivery and rescheduled for a week later at the very last minute. On the second delivery date, once again canceled without communication and rescheduled another week later. This is par for the course in today's market place. I was not even involved in the conversation. Of course, they boast about their wonderful AI chat customer care nonsense, where you can waste your time clicking your way through a computer that solves nothing. I Canceled this order and purchasing from elsewhere. I've spend thousands at this store, No more. Go elsewhere folks, this mediocre company doesn't care nor do they earn your business any longer. I'm done with them and will share my story with everyone within my business and sphere of influence. BTW, if you receive a last minute cancellation and rescheduling by an outsourced delivery entity known as "Hollar Creek", just cancel your order immediately, you'll never receive your order. I paid high dollars for this fencing because it has to be special ordered because they don't keep it in stock.To begin with, the first delivery was the wrong fencing; it belonged to a family in Georgetown, Kentucky. My fencing was delivered to Georgetown, Kentucky. After contacting a lady named Molly, which was a third party contact person, she informed me that she would get it corrected in two days. It took almost two weeks and when we did receive the order, it all wasn't there. We ordered a Winchester Grey color and it looks brown? We then contacted a lady named Jennifer, whom was the sales person that visited our house and gave us the quote to send us a sample of Winchester Grey and she was going to drive to Louisville and bring us the sample within the next two days, and that was two months ago and we still haven't received it. Lowes has the worse customer service than any other company I have dealt with and after they do finish the project, I will never spend another cent with them, period!!!!!!!! Andy T. Berea, KY
